Easily the best and most exciting race I've seen in years. Probably since 2011 Canadian GP.

This is far better racing than NASCAR. Yet NASCAR is still more popular. That was the best racing I've seen all year!

Like it or not, this was the best race since the 2013 Indy 500. Way more exciting than all of the boring road and street course races.

It always works out that the driver trying to kill everyone he passes wins doesn't it? Greatest Indy race since it was called IRL. IMO

F1 should not be on the OVAL tracks! High speed racers like these should be on Majestic Race tracks, with twist and turns, hair pins and Straight away. With off camber curves, sloping/banking long turns Etc. Then you can hear the engines whine and go thru the gears, down shifting and heavy late breaking, that RACING!
This, going around in circle is for test engines. They turned it into racing. 210MPH!

Stands to reason the all powerful, four car, moneybags, expect to win every race Penske....will whinge a bit! I was whinging a bit myself, when here in the UK,SKY,who I pay a lot of money to,gave up Indy to BT....Hoever,thanks to the wonderful,RUclips,I can watch the race three days later, without having known the result. BEST RACE EVER...I feel like I've been rode hard and put away wet!

Definitely the most exciting race I've ever seen, but I do understand the concerns from Tim Cindrick and Will Power.
The drivers did a top job, barring Graham Rahal, he was just reckless, he put many drivers in real danger. Yes, he's a man on a mission, but don't do it by scaring the living crap out of your competitors.
Shout out to my man Will Power, sad it ended like this, thought he was in for a win for sure on this one.

Why, just why, the venue that provided the best Indycar race this season, and arguably one of the best in recent memory, is not going to have an Indycar race next season?

    • @Posirep
      @Posirep 9 лет назад

Because southern California has the worst sports fans in the world. Noone came to the race. They barely get people even to the Nascar race.
Keep in mind, this is the sane city that lost 2 NFL teams due to poor attendance.

    • @Johnhenry6imca
      @Johnhenry6imca 9 лет назад

+InvisibleTeeth I agree with your opinion of the lack of attendance for the Indy races but I went to the 2013 cup race and it was sold out. It was crazy seeing the mile long sea of endless people from our seat in turn 4. They have been afraid of the dangers of pack racing in Indy car since Dan Wheldon's death at Vegas and this was a reminder of it, even if it was the best race in recent memory.

Tony Kanaan said it all. All those 'expert' bench racers who thing the experienced guys are bunch of whiners should try to take a car around a killer tracker like this at 200-plus miles an hour (they would die). Kanaan undoubtedly remembers the senseless death of his best buddy -- Greg Moore. Only the brainless kid drivers who think they can never die would think this sort of idiotic lunacy is real auto racing.

Chris Chujkal yes and no, they are different types of crashes. The ones we saw at Indy were cars that backed it into the wall and then flew over as a result of the impact/air. Cars getting sideways into the grass at 200+ mph almost always results in a blowover, even in NASCAR. It's hard to solve that problem as long as there are high speeds.

    Some real Baboonazzoles, here!
AA, USAC, CART, IRL, ChampCar and whatever...
A regular alphabet soup, as with aviation, FAA and the USAF.
And we get kiddies commenting on what they know not.
    Piss off!
You need to live through something like 1964
    or Bill's DEATH, in '55....
I was only about 6, but I CRIED!!
    WE cried!
    My Dad knew the man....
We listened every year on RADIO
Until my Dad was hospitalized.. 1960...
I listened to the Radio 500, even when it came to broadcast TV.
    Better reporting.
'64 was on the big screen at Curtiss Hixon Hall, Tampa.
A 35 cent Greyhound Bus Ride into town
I was enraged at Dave MacDonald's ass end out driving
In the Harvey Thompson car....full of GASOLINE!!
(SAME way he drove the Cobras at the Daytona 2000Km. and Sebring 12
    King Cobras at the USRRC...)
He drove like that all month, then he took poor Eddie Sachs with him.
Sachs was one of the nicest guys to ever grace Indy..
Fierce on the track, but great off it.... a true gentleman.
    Killed by an ego maniac!
And I LOVE road racing and Shelby American...
    Ferrari!
    But that's MY opinion!
And that of many others who were THERE!
My friend Bill "Spider" Webb was there.
    Confirmed all I said...
Looked like Pearl Harbor, or WORSE!
I worried for Jim Clark, until he came out of it.
The whole thing was VERY hard to take
    At age 15, or so..
    As bad as Sebring, '66.....
    Too much DEATH.
    J.C.

Why did not the officials drop the red flag at POCONO after Sage Karem and the late Justin Wilson crash..?
It was a great race,as was this one, IMHO, THEY ruined it, by throwing the yellow., thus leaving all fans with the drawn out wasted yellow flag laps, instead of ,"Thinking" ahead and creating the best finish for the drivers ,fans and all. Indycar is run by incompetent, idiots.
    50 year fan.

Hahahahaha Will Power crashes out again, it doesn't matter who's fault it was, if it's Dixon or Sato, this proves Will is anything but a true championship material. He can nothing but whine and cries that he didn't even finish the race. As a New Zealander, I felt so good that Will Power didn't score any points in this race.

    • @SergePupko
      @SergePupko 9 лет назад +6

Jack Huang That was the most ignorant thing I've ever read. He voiced his concerns, but at the same time, he was running up front most of the race, and when he did get shuffled back, he came right back to the front. You're laughing at another man's misfortune because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, there's nothing he could have done about Sato going into the slide, which, after bumping Dixon he had no where to go. That has nothing to do with how good or bad Power is. You're just missing something between your ears, or just a hater. I think both.
Next time, save some dignity and don't post anything because it won't be worth reading.

These guys complain and wine that they don't want pack racing because it is too dangerous. They signed up for this as a career so walk the walk or get into the follow the leader racing which is also known as Formula 1 where the leader going into the first corner of lap 1 useualy wins the race 99 percent of the time
