It still surprises me sometimes. The super hard catches they seem to pull off every now and again. Then, when there’s a rabbit out in the open fighting through the snow in slow motion, they miss it. Every head of game taken with a bird of prey is a trophy! I love this! I probably won’t do it forever, just till I die.

Thank you! I'm using a GoPro 12 Black, running at 4k120fps so I can zoom in and slow down without losing tons of quality and in linear mode so I get better distance viewing. I also have like 8 batteries so I can shoot at meets all day.
My Parabuteo also lost a talon when it captured a pigeon. I have no idea what could have happened. I didn't apply epoxy. Every day, I cleaned it with saline solution. My veterinarian prescribed a painkiller for three days. The claw is already starting to grow back.
Ya, no idea how it broke. He was on my fist just before that last flight. It takes forever for them to grow back. Soyuz lost one last molt and it's about 1/6th grown back. Good luck with yours!
