Mnet has already done 2 survival shows that produced groups with one being PD101 S2 which a lot of people say is not going well. Though everyone might literally have no talent, they'll technically be considered as trainees cause they'll be trained and taught. PD101 did the same thing with Class A to F. Along with the evaluation and practicing, they were taught by their mentors. They also grew and learn in that show. These will obviously happen in this show too. They'll be taught, they'll train, and they'll be tested. Plus, Mnet clearly specified that "any idols hopefuls can join the school" so all of them will have the urge to become an idol because if not, there's literally no point of joining this show if you don't even want to become an idol. And it's impossible not to have a voting system nor an evaluation system along the way. How will they prove that they actually learned something if there's no certain test or evaluation to prove it? Plus, the audience has to be a part of it somehow and be allowed to vote cause creating a group that isn't even fitting to the fans' taste is a no no. Like I said earlier, in this situation we could be called the "teachers" or whatnot. Even Big Brother has a voting system. Otherwise, it's gonna earn as what others say, "maximum level scripted" title xD

And some of the applicants are girls cover dance so some of them really do wants to be idols for the singing and dancing, not just acting cute being on tv.
