The ability to have the perfect, instant comeback is something I've always envied. Jordan is a master.
It's not that hard with these people having the intellect of elementary school kids
He's brilliant! If I received similar responses, I would be sputtering, shaking my head and walking away in shock.
Two hours later, I'd be thinking, "Dammit, I should have said..." this or that. But I just don't think quickly enough.
Not to mention that trying to handle a conversation with someone in an alternate reality is not something I do real well. And would I really want to anyway? Probably not. I'm 70 years old, and the amount of time that I have left for foolishness is becoming more limited every day.
It's a real talent that Jordan has. Partially because he likes humans and has a lot of compassion.

What's so important about what Jordan does is he exposes the person's ideological flaws without getting openly mad. He has the talent of not shutting them down and it's so valuable.

Most people get a grin out of this, but can you put a gun in the same people's hand and surmise the outcome. You are seeing a change to the Godless society.
Plus, most of the time he doesn't necessarily tell them they're wrong, he asks questions and lets their own answers prove themselves wrong. That's important, because a lot of these people think that everything contradictory to their beliefs is a lie. He puts them in a spot where they (hopefully) realize they are self contradictory, and the only reason they hold X belief is because they were told to.

One of the things you see a lot in Klepper's interviews are the people who, when pushed, admit they don't really know the answer, but are certain that the big brains on their side would be able to support their argument. It's showing how little these people actually reason for themselves, they are relying on their own epistemological circles of trust to tell them what to believe. We call it cultish behavior, but t's an extension, in a way, of traditional religious thinking. i.e.: "Pastor, I'm lost and afraid, tell me what God wants me to do."

Kathy Rama FOX does the same thing on shows like Waters World. When he worked with Bill O'Reilly they did videos like this all the time with Democrats. Conservative show host Steve Crowder goes to campuses all over and does similar. The Daily Show is a flop and Trevor Noah is terrible.

And he's taking it a level deeper here by being on "the news" and exposing their hypocrisy in that they aren't the ones out there asking these people the questions to try to figure out what they're thinking. When the comedian is doing better reporting than the "journalists" that sit in a studio stewing in their own echo chamber, you know things are beyond recovery.
Love Jordan. He helps me feel sane. Having to have these conversations for 2 years is unsustainable without comic relief.

@@nolackin4012 I’ve been watching him from his very first appearance on the Daily Show and he knocked it out of the park. Every, single time he’s on is a piece of gold. I’ve yet to see him do anything bad. I’m not sure why his show got cancelled but I know he has the ability to turn the Daily Show into something even better than Jon Stewart’s.
He doesnt belong behind a desk. His magic, his gift, is out there in the field with the conservative mass making them question their own ideals for the first time.
There is a skill that you can learn that can break through to these people. It’s called Street Epistemology. You ask questions and repeat back to them what they said, but never inject your own opinions. Jordan has mastered it- as we all should.
I hear you, it is called alot of things but it always works when people have no filter and no knowledge of terminology. The brilliance of it is engagement of ths problem person. Usually they wont but many are not smart enough to even know what it is until it is already done. Once they sigh the waver they then realize they should have just walked away. Alexandria Pelosi did it for Bill Mahar a few years back when she went to mississippi. That was a classic project and she interviewed these people about the Affordable Health Care Act. They loved it but not Obama care, that is just unamerican.....lol I wish I remembered the name but it is worth a search if you have some spare time.

Jordan Klepper is awesome! Like Jon and Trevor, he has heart. He talks to these people. Like many of us, I believe he wants to know what they think and why. Most of us have family or friends who've gone down the rabbit hole, so I think it's something we need to deal with until something brings these folks back to reality.

I've been watching Jordan's segment on The Daily Show since he started and he's been doing great work. I don't know how he has managed to keep his sanity over the past 6 years. The people he interviews can drive any sane, rational person crazy.

There were displays of incompetence emanating from two sitting governors, D Whitmer and D Hochul. Both of these democrat governors seemed incapable of articulating the issues with a coherent response.
Democrat Katie Hobbs in Arizona, refused to debate at all. And there were other instances indicative of kids at recess. When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked about inflation, she responded that we just need to change the subject. Change the subject to what, ma'am? The American people are suffering under this direct threat to their economic security because the kids in the playground of incompetents took 1.4 percent inflation up to 9.1 percent in less than two years . . . and it remains at a 40-year-high level.
Then there was Joe Biden who confused us all by stating that fees for main cabin extra rooms on airplanes are racist. Yes, being able to have access to a little extra room on an airplane adversely affects minorities. Hmm, I guess since showing a picture ID to vote is racist, then is showing a picture ID to fly racist as well? Unless you are an illegal immigrant on Air Biden, then you can show your arrest paperwork for being in the country illegally as proof of, well, non-citizenship. Biden tries to make us believe that he inherited $5 gasoline when he became president. Only incompetent buffoons, also known as "stuck on stupid," would believe that.

Jordan Klepper has always been the most embedded "fake reporter" out there. I mean, _he was there on January 6th - credibility proven._ He is a true genius at what he does. These Klepper clips are actually much funnier but the current reality makes these people not so innocent. Hershel Walker would be comedy, but the thought he could be a senator is absolutely frightening.

Well, as a Dutch person I can tell at least the whole of Europe knows better. What did they actually think would happen when he would have actually stolen this election? @@sten260 Plotting a kidnap is different than thinking about a kidnap. They went into planning and action stage. The FBI doesn't have a way to know what you are thinking about. They need evidence, which is why these guys were caught, they were far enough along that there was evidence to bring them in.

I agree with @Jared Ponder. Jordan Klepper is far too valuable doing exactly what he is doing now. His height, gender, ethnicity, and intelligence all contribute to his effectiveness. What we have here in these trump supporters is their bid to bring back segregation, so called white privilege, and I don't need to go on if you are like me born during the fight for equal rights in this country. They're slogan (make America great again actually means let us usher in division, segregation, and unequal or no rights for people of color. Growing up in a lopsided country is rough, and I plan not to go through this with them again.
