So true that life changes. What we needed before we may no longer need in our lives. Or we might be in need of something we didn't need before. Fluid is a good name for it, constantly changing.
If minimalism is viewed as a destination, then we run the risk of using it as a distraction. And once we have finished decluttering, it's all too easy to fall back into accumulation again, because the distraction is no longer there & potential boredom creeps in. I believe to be effective long term Minimalism needs to be viewed as an "inside job", as in it's a journey of deep personal growth. Thanks for all you guys do to contribute to a better & less cluttered world! 🤗🌏
Once again, some interesting discussion on the subject of minimalism and "the more or less issue". I like the saying "The wind does not break a tree that can bend" and in it I recognize that life is truly a fluid experience. From one year to the next our lives change, sometime subtly, sometimes in a more dramatic way. Since becoming a minimalist I have spent "my time more wisely and creatively". For me personally less material objects = more access to the most valuable commodity, good health and time well spent.
Bravo Bravo ! This is totally hitting the nail on the head. What a wonderful conversation that you and your guest had. I loved how all of you guys conveyed your journey and thoughts in a simple and very minimalist way. Easy to wrap your head around the concept. Looking forward to the next podcast.
