Thru-Hiking with Clara Hughes | BC AdventureSmart Summer Series 2024

Clara Hughes, the only athlete in history to win multiple medals at summer and winter Olympic Games is our very special guest! Follow her as she leads us through the 800km (500mi) Vancouver Island Trail.
Also known as Redfeather on the trail and a true “kickass Canadian,” Clara Hughes (yes, ‘that’ Clara Hughes) as an avid long-distance hiker, has walked more than 20,000 kilometers on trails in North America. She’s hiked the triple crown of long-distance hiking, completing the Pacific Crest, Continental Divide and Appalachian Trails in their entirety.
Planning, hiking and sharing, plus engaging, educating and posting, all the while searching and finding mindfulness, she expertly navigated her way up and down mountains, through unknown terrain. Clara Hughes is a 6x Olympian in speed skating and cycling.
