There was a GBC version?! No way! An 8-bit demake of a 16-bit classic! Not as good though. We can argue all day about whether the PC Engine or TurboGrafx-16 was 8 or 16-bit. To me, bits are a graphical style. Good to know since I’m a fan of pixel art. Oh hey, I played this one the other day! It was the TG16 original on an emulator which I have no chance in hell of ever obtaining. I highly recommend playing this one any way you can.
I also noticed that the pumpkin headed shopkeeper has been replaced with a cute girl. I can imagine what a remake of this game. I think Studio Siesta would do that. They did do Cotton Reboot and Trouble Witches after all. I believe that TW got inspiration from this game, the protagonist and shop is kinda similar after all.
The gameplay starts getting spicy on level 3! It's a pretty polished GB game I'd never heard of so thanks for playing it for us all.. Edit: How good does this animated background look!? 24:00 The more I see, I realise they put a lot of love in this game..
