We literally just switched our bino harnesses this year that have holster attachments since we just moved to Iowa and have heard of mountain lions in the area! Stay safe 👊
I live in central Iowa on the Des Moines river valley. NE Iowa is a lot of rocky bluffs and stuff compared to where im at. Not surprised they are there, but needless to say id be shocked if i ran into one too! And that having hunted this area for 30 years. (Nice finds btw!)
Was talking about this on my way up here to Iowa from Kentucky and the first video I see is this video about mountain lions I say it’s rare to run into one but there still a chance. Hopefully I can find sheds and not mountain lions lol. Stay safe out there!
Dnr have been denying it for years. I saw one 10 years ago in Polk county. Everyone says …. are you sure it was a mountain lion etc and trust me when you see mountain lion you know exactly what it is! I’m so grateful for other people now telling their stories because eventually the Dnr will have to admit it. To be honest, I’m not in favor of them. It really freaked me out and it’s made me very aware every time I’m out. Admittedly, I’ve not seen one since, but it’s not a good feeling to know that they are there.
I trust you man, every word you said about the DNR denying the cougars, I grew up near some state land in Minnesota. A guy I knew would always be saying to be careful and cautious going in there, and look above you every once in awhile. I’ve only seen a glimpse of one but hadn’t spoken much about it.
As someone who also shed hunts in the hills and bluffs of NE Iowa, this is definitely a bit nerve racking. Would love to know the county if possible as there was a confirmed sighting in Allamakee Co last November. Glad that you made it out safely!
Glad your okay Guy, I'm sure you might think about having some kinda weapon next time you go in to any section of woods, I know I always have a knife on my side
I with the guy that said probably defending its young. I'm in west St. Louis county. I saw a young one several years ago in a place where their were several sightings of a large one. Conservation said, "They were just passing thru". Bullshit! I'm going shedding today. Gunna remember to take a pistol. Glad you got out safely!
I guess I have to ask why you weren't carrying? On my properties I have dogs and yotes and I'm never on the property w/o sidearm. If I had cougars/mtn lions I'd be toting heavier arms. Glad you got lucky. Don't rely on luck....
Close and slightly above, doesn't get much worse than that. I'm going to guess a mother protecting her young. When you backed up, you defused the situation. Otherwise you would have been dinner. Oh yeah great finds.
I live in the state of Rhode Island and I have seen two big cats and the tracks in the snow they are out there the Dem of my state will tell you no you saw bobcat 😂they lie to many people have seen them in RI and Conn I know what the fuck I saw we have lots of bobcats and I witnesses that have seen them I have hunted in New Albin and that's some of the best rough and hilly country that I have hunted in time to carry a hand cannon 👍
Brennan, I am glad you’re ok. Definitely take a weapon with you. Nice finds on the shed antlers.
Definitely will in the future. Thanks for the watch.
100% never go without a Glock weirdos out there to

It was in the eastern part of Iowa. Jackson County.
Glad your okay Guy, I'm sure you might think about having some kinda weapon next time you go in to any section of woods, I know I always have a knife on my side
Oh yes. I will definitely have something like on my me moving forward.

Will definitely be carrying moving forward. Wasn’t expecting a run in like that in Eastern Iowa were Lions aren’t very common.
@@bpointtv do you not have dogs or yotes? Wish I didnt
what's the most sheds you have found in one day ?👍
38 in one day
thats so badass
Seems like a potential trail cam set?
