partially because he plays one thing into the pickup and it gets recorded and looped and then does this for the next and then continues to play the rest. still incredibly impressive obviously, i just wanted to explain it cause i do this type of mixing when i play classical guitar to kinda play with it like a DJ lol
@@cap_junn6397Yall MF are sampling and looping live MF instruments? I have been a DJ for 39 years. So when you explained it made perfect sense. Still blew my MF mind. But I understood it in theory.
If it is a loop, this part of the video does not show how the percussion has been recorded. The vast majority of the percussion heard in this video is not being played by the guitarist, it is either previously recorded (not in this video fragment) or added to majors in the studio. Still original and impressive, but I wouldn't say that it sounds like 3 instruments at once, at least on its own.
@@rubencanton1223The "snare drum" is him slapping a string so that it hits against the fretboard creating a percussive sound, a technique that is very commonly used amongst guitarists. The guitarist is Alex Misko, he has a full cover on his own youtube channel of Careless Whisper. If you search "the music addict guitar careless whisper" you can find a longer version of this clip

I was searching for the name of the guitarist. Thankyou!
Thanks. I hate these accounts that just repost other people's stuff without links in the description.

Thanks buddy
Twist guitar has been around since the 70s just never caught on. This man perfectly perfected it. Stunningly beautiful ❤
Your the 1st person I seen here that knew the name of this style of playing. Not many people would know this. I myself forgot what it was called & was trying to think what they called this style, then I saw your comment. 👍🇮🇪 Fair play to ya, Chris Taylor
@@keithking1985that fucken Chris Taylor eh mate
Do you have some other names/records we could look up? Searching "twist guitar", "twist guitar playing", "twist style guitar 1970s" has been useless

Dude no matter what instrument you play Careless Whisper on I'm nearly convinced it'll sound good, its just to iconic.
Yes!!!
A Melodica would be annoying though
wht is it so soothing? i can listen to this for hours on end
Dude classical guitarists are the coolest people ever. We had one come to my college and his performance was just so heavenly.

What an unbelievable sound!
It took me a few seconds to realise it was "Careless Whispers" he was playing on the guitar!
He should release a full version of this!
Agreed
He has one. Look up Alexandr Misko.
@@aslurmyfrog don't worry carlmaster wasnt any serious. He probably just forgot this clip
It probably was, you know these videos edits. Always cutting off the good stuff.
Bahaha noob
Sounds like 3 instruments playing at once , brilliant talent 👍👍
partially because he plays one thing into the pickup and it gets recorded and looped and then does this for the next and then continues to play the rest. still incredibly impressive obviously, i just wanted to explain it cause i do this type of mixing when i play classical guitar to kinda play with it like a DJ lol
The "bass/kick drum" you hear is him tapping on the wooden part of the guitar to get the hollow, low tones. I don't really hear anything that would indicate there is a supplement to the audio judging from his hand/finger movements.

Amazing! Reminds of the way sitar players make their instruments sound.
If you liked this style of acoustic guitar, you'd probably dig the musician Trace Bundy. He is PHENOMENONAL, and watching play live is amazing. I'm still blown away at his skills even decades later.
Trace bundy is a legend.
There's a very old video of him and Sungha Jung playing Canon in D which is absolutely beautiful. It pushed me to learn guitar. I still watch it sometimes for peace of mind.
Trance Bundy is good, but not the same style
What did you said?¿? Ted bundy... yes hes a good musician!
I guess "bundy" surname is meant to do great things, for he who shall not be named did great things TERRIBLE ...yes but great..
