@Big Dick Playaaa Getting paid more doesn't make you any less of a pussy. Most of these NBA players cry the moment they get bumped. Overpaid prima donnas
Let me go ahead and explain this before anyone else grossly misunderstands it: Steve Nash grew up a hockey player, in Canada. In the NBA, people took major shots at him, and he played through 95% of it. Dude was tougher than just about any active player is today. Most of these players you breathe on them and they flop, they hurt themselves more by falling than the other player did brushing their uniform.

It doesn't take a detective to see that Amare and boris were running to check on Steve. They barely even looked at a spur, nor did they get close enough to even spit on them. Very poor choice to suspend those players.
Barry is just glad that this moment led to there actually being a worse player on the court than him during this series. Since PHX was without their starting 4 & 5 they had to get minutes from Pat Burke in game 5.
this is for everyone that doesn't believe Nikola Jokic should be suspended for (ironically) what happened with Ishbia. The rules - whether you like them or not - are the rules. Players can't leave the bench and touch the court and players can't leave the court and initiate contact with spectators. It's that simple. The Suns were hosed but it was the rule. If the Nuggets get hosed (should be) then it's because it IS the rule. I don't know how else to describe it.
@@DTS_I yeah, Mike D' never developed the bench. He refuses to play guys, he could have brought Jalen Rose or Sean Marks off the bench - they never even played that game they were short-handed.
The thing is Tim Duncan came off the bench in the third quarter of that very game. So by rule he should have been suspended for game 5. I am so glad Kobe torched them the next year and sent bs Bob's raggedy behind into retirement.
In the alternate timeline: And the Suns have finally beat their rival Spurs in 7 games. 2 weeks later: After 14 years, the Suns make their long awaited return to the Finals after beating the Jazz in 5. 3 weeks after: It’s over, the 39 year wait has finished. The Suns have swept the Cavs and won their first NBA title
The Suns blew a 15 point lead in game 5, and led most of the game. Only to blow it at the end. Kurt Thomas filled in nicely. Then in game 6 got handled by San Antonio at home. Even if the Suns win game 5, they are getting beat in game 6 most guaranteed. So like 08 with New Orleans you are getting a game 7. It's 50/50, but I like the Spurs championship experience in a game 7 against those Suns. Just like they beat a talented New Orleans team at home in 08 game 7. Against those Suns I like the Spurs in a deciding game. Absolutely nonsense to say Stoudemire's suspension for game 5 cost them the series. A game which the Suns should have won, but blew it at the end. And if the Suns win game 5, then game 6 is almost certainly a total blow out, even more lopsided then it was. With game 7 to decide the series, and I like the Spurs.
You are kidding. And after this season they started to dismantle the team . Marion going to the heat killed me. This whole series is what made me stop watching sports .
The hip check didn't cost Sun's chance to win a champ, Stoudemire and Diaw did. And i think that was a win-win situation, Spurs won the title, and Sun's fans can forever live in "what if's",it was a life-long excuse for not winning a title
It was a rule created in reaction to the "Malice at the Palace" incident in 2004. The NBA was suffering a big image problem after that debacle and created the rule that if a player left the bench during an "altercation", it was an automatic suspension. It seems like a knee-jerk reaction now, but the players knew the rule and some of them still broke it.
I was so pissed when I watched that, I wanted Nash to fuck Horry up hocky status. (He's a Canuck right, isn't that their thing?). And when I heard the suspensions the next day I slow clapped and said (their you go assholes, you just gave the Spurs another trophy."

Straight up BS. Barry really thinks the best team won? Well that's just a ridiculous comment to make considering everything. Don't forget the refs we're arrested from this series for betting against the Suns. 22 fired. Tim Donaghy thrown in jail for 15 months. (Not nearly long enough). NBA has since made the opposite decision for critical games. Where's PHX's restitution from the NBA? How can you finish 2nd worst and get the 5th pick? The NBA owes the Phoenix Suns multiple first round draft picks. Why is Steve Kerr even in this video? He went on to become Suns GM for a year just to trade Marion for a 40 year old Shaq that hadn't worked out in 22 years and broke up one of the best teams in NBA History. Why? Kerr is a loser. Pretty sure Walton has a better record in GS. Players win games. Suns were robbed. This is corruption at it's best. From the top down. David stern in the worst commissioner in history. Don't get me started.
You're a special kind of dipshit if you think Walton is a better coach than Kerr. I mean, especially considering you are giving Walton credit for coaching the team that Kerr and Co built. This was like when Draymond Green got suspended during 2016 finals. it altered the course for them
The title should be, “What if Steve Nash Didn’t Flop?”
Robert Horry’s revenge from his days playing in PHX
If you leave the vicinity of the bench during an altercation...automatic 1 game suspension.
The “what if” should be .... “what if stoudimire & diaw wouldn’t have left the bench?”. That’s what really cost Phoenix. Mental self control is a big part of basketball.
Please. It's the freakin' playoffs. Emotions are high. It's just a natural reaction. They didn't join in any confrontation, fight, etc. Just checking on their fellow player. Nothing mentioned about the corrupt official who said the series was swung to the Spurs. Another video I quess.
You’re clearly someone who isn’t competitive nor have you played sports at a high level
NBA was just not ready to be dominated by a small size player like steve nash
but look at from 2015 till present times, I think small-sized players now are more popular, skilled, and contributive to the team than all big men
except : lebron, giannis and Anthony Davis
Deandre Ayton
And not one mention of Tim Donaghy 😂 2007 Suns without a DOUBT was the biggest robbery in sports history.
As a former basketball and suns fan.... you’re completely right. Right along with the 02 kings . The 2 most BS things to ever happen in basketball.
You know damn well we would have won the championship we have the best team in the NBA
Pop had someone with a camera watching
I love Steve Nash and I’m a spurs fan but I’m sorry Steve you would of died if no one stopped you and Robert from fighting
I've seen small guys beat the shit out of big guys so who knows!!!!
Basketball players really aren't shit against hockey players. Sorry.
@Big Dick Playaaa Getting paid more doesn't make you any less of a pussy. Most of these NBA players cry the moment they get bumped. Overpaid prima donnas
Let me go ahead and explain this before anyone else grossly misunderstands it:
Steve Nash grew up a hockey player, in Canada. In the NBA, people took major shots at him, and he played through 95% of it. Dude was tougher than just about any active player is today. Most of these players you breathe on them and they flop, they hurt themselves more by falling than the other player did brushing their uniform.
@@gsog6078 I don't know who would win but Oakley vs domi Rodman vs Barnaby Xavier
McDaniel vs probert lindross vs Shaq would be entertaining but I would bet on the NBA players
I can't believe that people consider the Spurts a model franchise. One of the dirtiest teams in all of pro sports. Bruce Bowen, Robert Horry, Greg Popavich, all dirty with no morals who will injure opposing players in order to win.
Phil Jackson called Bruce Bowen "Edward Scissorhands"
I was pissed when Popo had the audacity to complain about Zaza
It's only cause of Tim Duncan's nice guy persona. Somehow that made up for all their shady shit.
If dude bumps me like he did Parker in the first few seconds, we gotta work!
The sun's were the better team and pop knew it
Robert Horry, showing his veteran wit in this game. I mean, it all worked out for the Spurs from this game on. Big Check Rob. :) Go Spurs Go!!!
What Steve Nash do to you
It doesn't take a detective to see that Amare and boris were running to check on Steve. They barely even looked at a spur, nor did they get close enough to even spit on them. Very poor choice to suspend those players.
“Accidentally” 🤨
8:56 They for sure would have reached the finals. They were not losing to that Utah Jazz team
Funny they dont mention the cheating ref in Game 3 Tim Donaghy
I miss Craig
I'm wondering if they actually went thru 32 team logos in that first 3 seconds?? Anybody care to count???
This is anutha reason why Horry should be in Hall of Fame! Was this Horry on his own or did Popovich call this.
I think about this shit every goddamn day
I think more about the 1993 Finals
Blame the Malice at the Palace 🥺
True, this was just 3 years before and on everyone's mind.
The NBA FU*KED UP the suns that year. They stole Phoenix championship that year with those suspension.
When Barbosa ran up on Robert Barbosa didn’t want none like he thought he did lol
The Phoenix Suns would go on to win the NBA championship if Amare and Diaw were never suspended. They win over Utah and Cleveland in 4 or 5 games.
Brent Barry talking crazy smh
He's a biased moron
His father and brother are smarter lol
Barry is just glad that this moment led to there actually being a worse player on the court than him during this series. Since PHX was without their starting 4 & 5 they had to get minutes from Pat Burke in game 5.
He was his teammate. What did you expect? Lmao
this is for everyone that doesn't believe Nikola Jokic should be suspended for (ironically) what happened with Ishbia.
Things turn around now Spurs are not in the Finals and Suns are
No coincidence Robert Horry was a big part of 7 championship
this top 10 sports rivalaries
Amare Stoudemire took a break from hackie sack for that interview.
What if the Suns kept that 15 point lead in Game 5?
They had the lead almost the entire game...People tend to forget about that...that is what is so sickening
@@mathewhorodner2000 exactly. That's why I don't give anybody that excuse about them losing to the Spurs. Robert Horry didn't change that series
@@mathewhorodner2000 the reason they lost that 15 point lead was because D’Antoni didn’t bring anybody off the bench the entire first half.
Wait?! Who is that guy with that funny red hat?!
for that reason he was expelled from the oscar academy 😂
In the alternate timeline:
And the Suns have finally beat their rival Spurs in 7 games.
2 weeks later:
After 14 years, the Suns make their long awaited return to the Finals after beating the Jazz in 5.
3 weeks after:
It’s over, the 39 year wait has finished. The Suns have swept the Cavs and won their first NBA title
I hope Suns win the 2021 Championship
Well David Stern isn’t alive to prevent it
The Suns blew a 15 point lead in game 5, and led most of the game.
Suns never won because the team never played defense and Nash was a bad defensive player he always lost to the Lakers or Spurs.
@@anthonytobias5459 Nash actually owned the Lakers in the playoffs. Only got beat by them one time.
The Spurs would have won the series and the chip anyway.
Maybe, but I think the Suns would have exorcised their demons in 7 with the momentum
CP3 will going to claim that should be a Championship team by S.Nash and Co.
If they would have made Tim mad it would be a massacre
They win game 5 they win it all
lot of tough breaks for suns fans
You are kidding. And after this season they started to dismantle the team . Marion going to the heat killed me. This whole series is what made me stop watching sports .
The hip check didn't cost Sun's chance to win a champ, Stoudemire and Diaw did. And i think that was a win-win situation, Spurs won the title, and Sun's fans can forever live in "what if's",it was a life-long excuse for not winning a title
They have a chance this year. With Pop about to retire Spurs won't be good for awhile.
@@tylongkicks8821 The Suns are really good now and play defense it’s a fun team to watch.
Like Steve Kerr said lets have some common sense here
So Amare is a hippy now. Cool
They really suspended him for that? Kinda soft honestly
They don't call him Big Shot Bob for nothing.
Did Horry get fined or suspended for the hip check? Or just a common foul ?
He got suspended for it
IIRC it was deemed a Flagrant 2 and he was suspended after.
He got suspended the rest of the series.
Lmao funny how no one gives the spurs credit for beating them but that rule is stupid though if your teammate needs help you go and protect your brother
I cried :(
Straight up BS. Don't get me started.
lol ... rambling nonsense.
@@jonathanwilson2363 ???
You're a special kind of dipshit if you think Walton is a better coach than Kerr. I mean, especially considering you are giving Walton credit for coaching the team that Kerr and Co built. We all saw how amazing Walton did in LA, even KING JAMES loved him. (Clearly sarcasm, and I do like Walton, but calling him the better coach is just absofuckinglutely ridiculous.)
I saw that movie recently about Tim Donaghy...that lowlife piece of trash
They got robbed Steve Nash would have won a chip
The Suns win a ring simple. What the hell's LeBron gonna do them with freakin Drew Gooden and Anderson Varejao?
Suns had 2 chances to win one game to force a game 7 so stop it. They wouldn’t have won. They should’ve won game 6 since they were at “full strength”
They are whiners when it was explained after the brawl in Detroit don’t leave the bench. D’Antoni never coached defense is why they kept losing to the Spurs and Lakers.
@@anthonytobias5459 Losing to the Spurs, sure ... but the Suns owned the Lakers pretty much through the thick of the Steve Nash era.
Man do you even watch Basketball or are just talking nonsense? Winning a game 6 on San Antonio with all your players tired after playing a Game 5 with practically no bench, it's an almost imposible task.
@@GONZUdAce11 sir stop it. you sound soo soft making excuses talking about “players tired”. It’s the PLAYOFFS you either want it or you don’t. They obviously didn’t. You don’t have to know basketball to know common sense.
In the next game phoenix blew a 22 point lead and blew it. No excuses.
No excuses except that the nba IS FIXED. this incident alone is a solid proof.
@@lavart7043 spurs was going to win anyway. Hell they went and got Shaq the next year and got spanked worse.
nash coulda easily landed a big one on horrys and knock him out once he got up. Thats how u kno nash is a good one
