Why are you still comparing boards to the gtr, thats ish been dead a long time ago overpriced and underpowered. Need yo turn up the heat on these entitled brands
@esk8unity How does the Gen 2 80Amp compare to the Pivot GT straight out of their boxes? I have a similar riding style and preference as you so im wondering what you've done with the explorer as far as wheel/pulley setup?
id say the pivot has about 20-25% more power. not significant but definitely noticeable. my go to boards use 6” Hotas OR 6” evolve tires.. as for street wheels, 85mm orangatang cagaumas. both orange and blue. i use purple for sliding practice. then 97mm evolve wheels.. and for comfort and group rides for maximum grip and range, 105mm boosted/madwheels. 🤘🏼🔥 . i think if u wanna save the money and like the flex and u dont need lots of range with AT, then go for the tynee. if you want that extra performance and range with a carbon fiber stiff deck and pay a little more, go for the pivot. both great choices. plz use our links/discount code! 🙏
Hey Freddy! Every. Single. Time... Man look, I got in a tynee kick yesterday and I think I'm gonna buy but first I wanted to see if @esk8unity has a review of the new 80A ESC. Like a boss, you're on it. Great review. Ty 1 question: have you run thanes/rubber 97mm-111mm wheels on it yet? What was the setup? Your opinion? Thanks
thanks bud 🙏 . my favorite traditional street wheels on boards of this size.. 85mm orangatang caguamas. (both blue and orange. purple for sliding) . then evolve 97s (not the translucent ones).. so many awesome colors.. then orangatang dad bods (have reviews on both orange and blues).. then the hybrid style wheel boosted/mad wheels. use our link/discount codes in description!
@@youdoit2152 na cuz those are abec only. u could run em with the evolve wheels tho. i havent. however the 23T is so small that it feels a bit off when its all on there. its hard to explain. i mostly stick with kegal 32T or evolve 32T 🤘🏼
could you make a comparison in acceleration between bone balrog x, hercules and this one tynee explorer? I'm thinking of buying the balrog x but I'm not sure, i want flexible desk but still hercules has bigger battery, the tynee is ideal for me but also the most expansive of these three.
So I ordered a hadean deck for 250$ to swap it with the tynee explorer deck. Like the board in general just don’t like it’s super mellow concave. It’s almost not considered a concave deck

If building wasn’t an option for me this is probably one of the few production boards I’d consider buying for that cost, especially for a 105mm street setup.

i have both now.. pivot def has more power & range. but the esc isnt smooth. i cant stand that. tynee has flex and the pivot doesnt. tynee has tkp and the pivot has dkp. lots of personal preference
When you consider that the Meepo Ninja Hurricane Bamboo comes with an additional set of 105 Cyclone wheels for 1,199 it seems comparable in price to the 999 Explorer. If you can afford the extra 199 is the Ninja Hurricane Bamboo better than the Explorer. I am trying to decide between the two. I do like that the Explorer is 5 lbs lighter. Which do you like better?
great points and i agree.. this board has a better remote tho. its all personal preference to be honest. I also think tynee has the better customer service too. But the value of the bamboo hurrican with its performance is very good too ✔️
@esk8unity which board is more quiet? Does one bottom out more than the other when flexing. I am 135 lbs? So, what is your preference between the two boards?
@@dennissmith6102 I have Explorer since it came out. More than a year. Buy it and you will be happy. Just go for 80A esc, since 60A has some issues. Plus 80A esc has more range, since it is more efficient. The board is so comfortable. Meepo Bamboo is basically the same board with exact same battery, just with DKP, so you are paying 200$ more for DKP? If you want to upgrade from Explorer it would be Ownboard Bamboo which has 982Wh battery compared to Explorer 725Wh, and that is significant upgrade, just note you are paying almost 50% more $ for cca 25% more range.
@dennissmith6102 I'm 105 kg and I think the tynee is just a little bit to flexible for me . But at your weight it would be suitable in fact superior to the stiff hurricane. And the trucks on the Explorer are excellent. In fact prefer them to my acedeck x1 trucks .
@@dennissmith6102thats tough. there both awesome. ya the hurricane is heavier and a chunkier enclosure for sure. I also think Tynee has the better customer service and better remote . but the hurricane has more top speed. cant make a bad decision 🤘🏼💯
Good review! I didn't think anything was changed besides the esc though, did Tynee mention anything? I did see that they are selling the Omni skate gear drive now on their website, it would be nice to see some kind of bundle deal or something. I have been secretly hoping for an explorer pro to come out. If I see one more god damn mini board that looks exactly like everyother mini board already out there I'm gonna lose it lol. I personally love flexy decks and it feels like there aren't a ton of options. It would be really nice to see more carbon fiber flex decks like the onsra velar or raldey wasp. I really wish I had snagged a kaly deck before they imploded and Ernesto skipped town, I really loved that deck. I'm also hoping backfire will release a new hammer or at least update the esc with the one from the zealot x or another more powerful one. I'm curious how that lipo battery has been holding up/working out for people. Btw I'm pretty sure the wowgo at 2 plus is a 12s4p 2 in 1 with a flex deck also the backfire hammer sledge has around the same amount of watthours as the average 12s4p, although from what I heard it has less flex than the original hammer. Anyways as I said, I'm a sucker for a good flexy deck, they just feel so free and floaty especially with the right soft bushing/truck set up. Maybe it's because I come from snowboarding where I have clocked myself at nearly 60mph but I have never understood why people think you have to have a stiff deck if you want to go fast. I can see it maybe being helpful if you are just learning but I truly believe that riding with loose trucks and a flexy deck will build your strength and balance as well as make you a better and more confident rider.
i agree soooo much. sooo many mini boards out there. love a good flex deck. i too dont understand why ppl think flex decks are unstable. the wowgo at2 + doesnt have nearly the same power as this or features with the remote. i also dont like there dkp that much but thats just personal preference
100% at2 is incredibly outdated. basic remote. not even close to the same power as this. i prefer these tkp over wowgo dkp. and the tynee customer service is great.
🛹🛣🏁 Just hit 1300miles on my Tynee Explorer! I upgraded to the Cloudwheel Rovers 165Rs because the pneumatic wheels it came with kept going flat on me every single ride. Besides the initial issue with flat tires, this board has been amazing! I hit 30+mph easily and the range is insane, probably close to 40miles. I ride almost everday about 20miles and it's so much fun! The remote control that I got is different from yours, it's just a basic Hobbywing Remote. Curious if you've tried the Gear Drive Kit for the Explorer? I'm considering upgrading to the gear drive because lately I've been tearing drive belts when braking too hard. Love the video!
