As far as the jokes are concerned, Bungee Jumping joke was one of the first jokes I cracked when I began doing stand up comedy. It has been my go-to mini joke in my shows.It was during these earlier days that my father, out of his love, used to light a Diya for me whenever I used to perform. Jokes apart, it did work as an anxiety buster for me, and who knows what else it did ;) .. whenever I had a below average show, I used to think Papa ne kahin diye mein Kerosene toh nahi daal diya aaj!
Mom's questions & reactions are always priceless. When I sent her my Kharrate video, I asked her how did she find it. She said "ye laughs toh tum log baad mein add karte hoge na?" :))

I can so relate to this ........ I am an Atheist (was born an Atheist(default setting) like all living beings but my parents & relatives indoctrinated me into their religion & thanks to my education, development of common sense, rational, scientific & logical thinking; I reverted back to the default) but my family members are religious (irrational/illogical/superstitious) ..... I keep having these on n off discussions and arguments with them on so called gods , religion n superstitious(religious ) practices they engage in..... I once told my mom(during one such discussion) that I (an Atheist) cleared my Masters with distinction, got a good job, doing reasonably well in life without any so called divine interventions n she tells me that all that I achieved was only because of her daily prayers(n not my hard work, smart work, sacrifices, constant learning & skill upgradation) !!! ......
