    Test Description:
SpaceX completed a routine static fire test of a Falcon 9 second stage on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 6:35:44 PM CDT, which lasted 210 seconds. Prior to a second stage fly atop a booster, it undergoes a rigorous test campaign at SpaceX's McGregor test site. The vacuum optimized Merlin 1D is first tested on its own: Undergoing both a cryogenic proof test and a static fire prior to being mated to a second stage. Once attached to the second stage tank, the now fully assembled second stage then undergoes its own cryogenic test and static fire test. If all goes well, the second stage will be shipped out to either Vandenburg or Cape Canaveral to be mated to a booster and a payload.
