  • We install a Winnerwell Stove to create a HOT TENT
This video is a work in progress so please look for updates and edits in this description.
First correction that was made since making this video is that we moved the double wall pipe section lower into the TENT making the holes that are on that section of pipe not visible from the OUTSIDE...otherwise your tent will leak if it rains because rain will flow through those holes down the pipe. This will require you cutting inches off one of the single wall pipes to allow for this set up. For us we cut off exactly 7 inches from the MALE end ( this is the side of the pipe that slides inside of the next pipe). We also added guide wires with simple carabiners from the arrestor to the SPRINGBAR ridge pole making the OUTSIDE of the chimney more stable in HIGH WINDS. Look for a future video as to how we actually raise the tent at camp. We also included a 6 INCH pipe clamp around the Silicone Stove Jack on the outside of the tent to secure to the double wall section of the chimney preventing slippage to the Silicone Stove Jack as we found that during set up the pipe will slip making it possible for the double wall to slide down while raising the tent. This will make more sense once you see our SET UP video to come.
See links below for everything we purchased to build this HOT TENT.

Found it on EBAY...the link will probably expire so just do a Google search for this part. We purchased the one that did not have a hole in it because we wanted to make our own tight fit. This allows us to leave the Silicone Stove Jack on throughout the entire season by closing the canvas rain fly ( which I added more Velcro to the closures ) otherwise you will have a HOLE in your tent in the SUMMER make sure you roll the flap up securely when using the stove so that it does not touch the pipe.

I like the way you set up the Pipes through the stove jack. First class Job.

I wanted the Woodlander, but it wasn’t available, so i went with with the Nomad. I’m very happy with it. I like the idea of a piece of plywood to make it stable and put the fire mat on top of it. I burned my stove a few times before using in the tent. Nice tent. If i didn’t have a family of four I’d probably get one of those.
    Thanks for your perspective.

Good detailed video, thanks for making it. I just got a Woodlander large.
Did you notice any smoke leakage where the top connects to the body? On first burn, I saw some smoke rising on the right side of the stove, but it may have been paint on the warning sign burning.

I did not experience any leakage at all...if my wood is dry I get a smooth clean burn. It may have been oil or residue from the first burn just burning off? I dunno. This is a great little wood stove.

Where did you get the stove jack from? I’m not finding any videos or forms, suggesting what is the best brand to install for my canvas tent. I have been looking for something like yours.

Check my video description for all parts used. If I remember the cloth stove jack came from ebay but something tells me it’s discontinued or not available anymore. But check my links.
