love the shout out to linkin park my all time favourite band this band reminds me of them good job guys
I love how they actually say in their lyrics: "he'd put his favorite records on
innerparty and linkin park." I love when bands can be confident in their influences and actually include them into their lyrics. Especially when everyone bashes on them for sounding like Linkin Park. As you can tell, they are an influence.
Everyone knows that their sound is similar to the bands listed everywhere in the comments. Some of the lyrics in this song are: "He put his favorite records on: Innerparty and Linkin Park" referring to Innerpartysystem and obviously Linkin Park. The lyrics pretty much say who some of their influences are. Linkin Park's influence is prominent as most of the comments point out, but you can find influence of Innerpartysystem's "Don't Stop" in Dangerkids' "Countdown." Every band is going to have their influences. I love the music that all 3 of the bands mentioned above have done and can't wait to here what more Dangerkids has to offer.

Tabbed out while listening to this for the first time; hearing "innerparty and linkin park" and having to tab back in and pause so I can just sit there in amazement that two of my few genuine favourite bands just got a shout-out in the same song. Linkin Park was my Childhood and InnerPartySystem was my college days and still get listened to on a daily basis. Nostalgia, still.
these guys i believe may have just brought back nu metal
From Ashes to New does nu metal with a bit more metal in it, Hollywood Undead does nu metal but with less metal and more rock and rap.
Reminds me so much of Linkin park. People who like them go and listen to Linkin Park and listen to this band and u will see

Everyone commenting on their shout-out to Linkin Park - Although LP will always be a favourite band of mine (their old stuff, at least) - It's sad how many people don't recognise the InnerPartySystem ("innerparty") shout-out; they're also an underdog band that deserved way more attention than what they received. Still, it only makes me feel even more lucky that I discovered them when I did. Just a shame they aren't still around.

It'll happen. It always does.
If they won't change their style never they'll become in a few years boring... They can't play that music plays accross more years. Fortunatly LP have changed. Now they aren't just a simple numetal or something like that band. They're playing now anything. And that's good, because we can see them from more side (ATS rulz). If they lose fans, they get new fans and the peoples like me who love more genres and can listen to not just numetal and other metal genres still like them. They didn't become mainstream... They're still mainstream.

Im a die hard LP fan and I think the rapper sounds much more like Thousand Foot Krutch than Mike Shinoda
He sounds like Trevor from TFK trying to rap like Mike Shinoda.

Funny how all my new favourites are always related to Linkin Park somehow. I mean, I always knew this band just had to have gotten some inspiration from Linkin Park, because this genre is exactly how anyone would describe LP's music with a single song. But really, I love One OK Rock (A Japanese band also very worthy of checking out) and it so turns out that even the vocalist there has said that Chester was his hero! Haha anyway, great song, and what a great discovery! So grateful for being introduced to Dangerkids' music! Would not say that it is better than Linkin Park since Linkin Park is basically the king of this genre, especially the rap, Mike's rap is just simply that good, but still, amazing song that ought to get more views!
And yes, I was also one of those people who was especially drawn by the lyrics when they said Linkin Park. :)

I bought this album a earlier today. Stumbled upon these guys a few weeks ago and I've been hooked ever since.
I don't see how it matters whether or not they were influenced by Linkin Park or not... Dangerkids are their own band and they're fucking siiiick:D!

I really like it though! I think people shouldn't be comparing when it comes to a band that has stopped producing the same kind of music. It's way better that someone takes the torch and keeps it going, yeah?

Obviously their not out to take them down or replace them, if they look up to them as an inspiration. But im not here to argue friend, DK has amazing potential and talent and with all due luck, talent, and dedication (im hoping stay together and make it in with the Headliners with "Linkin Park" and "From Ashes to New" (Which is another band that these guys sound like, which is a compliment of course if you haven't heard of them)
