(Taken from the website) "To ensure full compatibility the Sound Edition only makes use of the standard TD-20 sounds, even when installed on a TD-20X (TDW-20)" Not being able to take advantage of the new sounds in TD-20KX is a deal breaker for me. That and the fact that it's $70 CDN. Nothing here screams "I need this" since I'm modding all the time, but I can see others wanting it.
Hi there, no thats not neccessary. You can play with ordinary wood sticks, they shouldn´t be too bruised though, to prevent damage to the mesh heads. Kind regards
Please get in touch with our service team directly through info@drum-tec.de, if you are interested in the sound edition! We currently seem to have problems putting in into the online store obviously. Kind regards

Hey Ohad, as far as I remember, I had had to go down with the "offset" setting inside the module completely. Then it worked with the VH-12 setting, but it has been a while since I did the video ;) Kind regards
It still has some nice features (lots of in-/outputs, good triggering, positional sensing on snare, compatible with VH-11/VH-12 and even VH-13). But the sounds...no competition for TD-25, TD-30 or TD-50 modules :) Those sound & play A LOT better (less machne gunning, better "punch", more accurate triggering) Kind regards
Hey George, we are currently offering a used Roland TD-25 module in our shop: www.drum-tec.com/marketplace/used-goods/3323/roland-td-25-modul-used Have you checked it out? Much more realistic up-to-date sounds ("smaller brother" of TD-30). You can listen to some sounds over here: ruclips.net/video/ZNxOWJmPk3w/видео.html Kind regards
Hi, the Roland TD-20 sound module is a very old model which has been discontinued years ago. You might want to check out more recent models like the TD-50X for example: ruclips.net/video/ZYnINqesDGU/видео.html ruclips.net/video/tONRLbOSNuA/видео.html Kind regards!
Well, it IS a TD-20. The sound edition is based on the internal sounds of the module, as it is not possible to load any additional samples. So yes, it still is a TD-20 module ;) kind regards
@@drumtecTV I know. It does sound great considering the module. I do have a question. My church has a td20 and a td50. We're trying to upgrade our smaller sanctuary that has the td20 but we don't want to spend the 7500 on another td50 and we probably also wouldn't want the tiny pads of the td25.

where is the v drum TDW-20 ?
I’m guessing you can use your pc to have your own sounds right? And also is this the v20 drums itself? I am new to electronic drums actually
Would like to buy the 25 edition but something up with website? Can't even go on to website.
Hello Drum Tec, do you use special sticks to play on these pads ? (to protect the mesh heads) ? Thanks

I have a question on this module, does it support cross stick on the snare?
Yes :)
Hey, can you please share your Hi-Hat (when using VH-13) configurations on the TD-20 Module?
Thanks.

hi there, 1) will these sounds work on TD-12, & 2) how to buy? thanks!!
The TD-20 Sound Edition only works with a TD-20 module. Unfortunately, we don't have any Sound Editions for TD-12.
Is this module still desireable or is it obsolete?
It still has some nice features (lots of in-/outputs, good triggering, positional sensing on snare, compatible with VH-11/VH-12 and even VH-13). Thanks. I have an opportunity to buy one for 800-900. I just play at home and want something affordable and reliable.

I run 2 TD-20X modules with VEX Packs through VDrum Library. With the VEX Packs I personally don't see the need for the 30 or 50.
amazing, I have this kit but I hate jazz
Why is every snare sound so unrealistic??
