This horse is extra special, you can be absolutely certain of that. I have seen every Champion Hurdle since Anzio won in 1962, and Constitution Hill is the best I have seen. He makes it all look so smooth and effortless and nothing seems to faze him, and he acts on any surface. He also has another vital factor in his make up, he can quicken at the end of a race. I cannot wait to see him in action again.

This is the most naturally gifted jump horse I've seen, he'd slaughter peak faugheen. Just a bottomless pit of an engine. Frankel of the jumps is spot on. Would be nice to see an ambitious campaign but will likely be a boring novice chase route to the arkle, you could go straight for the champion chase with him, then king George and gold cup the next season.
That was a very scary jump at the last, nico said in a later interview, it was a hairs breath between disaster and success, as he took off from the border of the shadow.
This horse is a machine, if you took constitution hill out of the race, state man would be seen as a top champion hurdle winner, constitution Hill has the potential to be the greatest champion hurdler ever .

Has the look/build/power of Flyingbolt about him, who won the Champion Chase by 15 lengths, and then came a close third in the following day's Champion Hurdle before rounding off his year by winning the Irish National under 12st 7lbs, giving the highly rated second and third 40lbs and 42lbs respectively. Considering how strongly Constitution Hill finished compared to a very good field would not be surprised if he proved just as versatile.

I get the runners sheet and just close my eyes and stick a pin in it and choose the horse like that. I've had quite some success over the years with this method. Got a 50-1 winner once. Really did celebrate that night. Was buying rounds of drinks all night for my friends and feeling quite proud that I'd picked a 50-1 winner. I told all my friends that I'd got a tip from one of the trainers. If only they knew...
Well someone did put approx 400 grand on it to make 150 grand profit. They then put about the same amount on another the next day to make a 350 grand profit.

CH has probably done more in a serious piece of work than he did today. After Aintree I doubt if he'll ever jump another hurdle. I don't think there's a hurdler around that could give him a race. He seems to be in a league of his own.

I have won more in a day at Cheltenham, but have never backed 4 winners in a day before.
after the race i noticed the horse wasn't even breathing heavily.
Two things I took out of the race: The winner could be anything and PT on the second never touched him with the stick. Great on both parts.
