Edward Jam I don’t get your other comment tho, you thought I didn’t know how to drive in the wet? I can admit that the people that do that should just quit the game, I’m not how it feels because I drive on wheel but I can imagine it sux to drive on controller.
Does anyone else have to problem of being super slow in the rain? I never was that slow on f1 2017. But on 2019 i am 3-4 seconds slower than usual. And i am usual full traction control my car just doesnt accelerate as fast as everybody elses car.
A tip on setup jack the ride hight up on front and rear. I was using Veloce James Spain Setup dry in full wet career and the car was 1.4 seconds off and very hard to control, so I remembered what Ant Davidson said in the game commentary, to increase the ride height, and it works in this game. The car was handling better and I was only 4 tenths off the pace now. It clears the water under the car. Also, increase the front and rear wing if need be. I had 8 8 wings, So 8 8 ride height, and go in corners with 1 or 2 gears higher than normal.
I have 1-2 ride height in Brazil and the car is just undriveable. I can't go full throttle even on the straights. Always staying 50% throttle for the whole lap just to keep the car on the track.
None of the above is my problem. The fact the AI is infinitely faster as if by magic even though you on pole and had them all for 5 seconds in Qualify then mysteriously they are spaceships that barge you............Thats my problem in the wet......
@@mslo7312 Thankyou anyway. What a different world we live in now. I'm really looking forward to ACC coming to Xbox X. Even though it's just GT3 cars. AC always had the best physics and FFB, straight out of the box.
My performance mainly depends on the game, in 2017 i was pretty good in the rain, 2018 became terrible but i had very good race pace and tyre management in dry conditions. Now i feel like i can't brake anywhere, during braking i don't slow down as much as others and in the corner i can't carry as much speed as others.
Clash with Simon it shouldnt tho, because the racing line has a lot of rubber laid down, which makes it a lot more slippery. Go off the racing line and you should have more traction.
The real problem isn't the control of the car (it's normal to be more difficult in the wet, np), but the fact that the cyber-zombies are 1 second a lap faster. They're on rails, you're on ice. THAT is the problem. Otherwise, just keep practicing until you'll get a grip (pun intended) regarding how to handle the car in the rain.
Veloce: Jeff is very helpful Me in a wet league race in light rain conditions:jeff:we have a change of strategy (put wets on now) also wet tyres:don't work until 6 laps later
Don’t know but it’s more than heavy rain, it’s quite rare but I’ve had that icon few times. Weather is absolutely horrible when driving in those conditions.
me and my friend HelloitsHero have some traction issues. He drives pretty well what you see in his videos, but i am Spinning quite often. i already set the differential lower but i still struggle. barely are able to compete with Ai on 100 . i still struggle so much to improve and dont know what to do . exspiacially at the racestart
I always struggle to race in the rain. I lose positions and I sometimes go wide in corners. I sometimes change the brake bias and differential but nothings seems to be working. I drive with auto brake on and I sometimes have to brake manually to make it past the corner. I am completely confused and don't understand it.
I would suggest turning the brake assists off and learn to brake manually at al times. I have no idea how good the auto brake is but more control gives you more options and will generally make you faster. But the key is practice. The AI at my difficulty used to be able to defeat me quite easily in the rain but when I was facing a 50% heavy to light rain race in Monaco I decided to practice. In time trial I did at least 10 laps on every circuit in the wet and once that was one I was the one easily defeating the AI in the wet (and dry as well, practicing in the wet improves your skill quite a bit).
Need some help here. My configuration does not allowed the fast tires to be changed during de pitstop I only have two tires The I and the W Not the S. The circuit starts with rain and change to dry next to the end. The cpu has all tires available
In case you didn't figure it out: at the start you can only select the tires that match the weather conditions at that time. So only wets in the rain and only slicks if it's dry. To change it to another compound you have to select it manually in the MFD during the race or accept a new strategy from Jeff when he suggests it.
Can anyone explain to me how to put wet tires in my car in multiplayer? Just played my first multiplayer race (China in low rain 🌧 ) and when I went into the pits I thought my pit crew would put them in automatically but I just got new mediums instead??? Help????
Personally, I would recommend skipping the wet races tbh. There stupidly unrealistic, the wet doesn’t seem to affect the other drivers apart for they drive slower than usual. But that’s it, their acceleration is borderline impossible, there cornering speed on certain tracks can be a bit too slow, where on most they blitz through them. If the F1 games are your main game, take the time and get used to the wet conditions, where as if it’s not just skip them, they’ll do nothing for other games.
