I had been no contact with my brother for year so I don’t really know my step-nephews but I recently met up with my brother at a BBQ and found out both my step-nephews were in prison for sex crimes involving children. The one was caught making and distributing child pornography involving his step daughter. The other step-nephew was in prison for raping an underage girl. My brother went into a rant about how it wasn’t his step-kid’s fault. For one he blamed his stepson’s wife saying she got him into child porn but she knew how to “work the system” to get out of any charges. For the other one he predictably blamed the girl. At 13 it wasn’t her first time and she wanted it and his stepson was just easily led (stepson is mid-thirties.
My brother and his partner (who also blames the victims) are hardcore MAGA.
My ex-boyfriend, who’s the opposite politically, has a son who was convicted and spent 9 months in prison for opportuning. He was hardcore trying to manipulate a girl under age 13 into having sex with him. It was a Chris Hanson type sting operation and my ex truly believes his son did nothing wrong since it was a sting and there was no actual girl. I was supportive at first until I broke up with the ex and his son started harassing me. I’m not a child but I think it says a lot about how messed up someone is if they honestly believe they are owed sex because you had sex with their parent, they overheard a couple times, and they were angry and wanted revenge sex. I know that sounds unbelievable but the son’s parole officer actually contacted me after one of their mandatory meetings to request I contact her if the son tried contacting me.
So, three cases of child sex crimes and other disturbing fixations. Of the two families, one is MAGA and the other supported Biden. None of them accept any responsibility and all three parents and felons involved blame their victims so it’s not political.

It sickens me that an attorney would include such a statement in an attempt to defend a client whether an individual or large corporation. American Airlines didn’t say in what was shown of their statement trying to right an egregious wrong to a child if that entire legal firm was fired, the specific attorney who filed the statement was fired or if AA’s statement was just for the sake of public image. This is the fault of the insurance company who retained that attorney, AA doesn’t review court filings like these before they are filed.
The attorney is using the wrong defense. It was never going to work in front of a jury. The proper defense would be to argue that the airline had no way of knowing of the flight attendant’s rogue actions and that he bears 100% of the fault.

The media ALL started using the wording appears/appeared to about a year ago. Or should I say overuse. This wording should only be used if there's any doubt or question about it! In this case there's no maybe about it. They clearly said it was her own fault and negligence. It's not the appearance of blaming her, it's 100%, they used the words "her fault" they tried to shift the blame to her!

I’ve flown on American Airlines several times. Never really had a good experience with the flight crew. They seem to be extremely rude. I had one flight crew push me while I was bent over and said you need to step back while shoving me which knocked me into the old lady behind me, which knocked her down, which knocked her into the man behind her. That was the last time I flew American Airlines and I have flown hundreds of times since then.

1) AA states the filing was made by outside attorneys RETAINED (hired) by their insurance company. 2) AA stated “The included defense is not representative of our airline, and we have directed it be amended this morning,” As to AA saying the included defense "is not representative of our airline".
It most CERTAINLY IS REPRESENTATIVE OF AA. 1st they try to balme a 9 yr. old, then they shift the balme to the outside counsel and their insurance company. But ask yourself this; if the insurance company hired the counsel and that's who they're working for, how can AA tell them to change the filing? AA has since said that they have repalced the outside counsel. If the outside counsel is working for the insurance company how can AA replace them? What this tells me is that AA had absolute direct control over the legal counsel and made decisions on what they should say or do, such as blamimg a 9 yr. old.
there is no defense for this... reversing course is too little too late, ESPECIALLY when all their "customer service" options will not connect you to an actual person to ask them why....
