Hi Paul - Really nice tutorial. Postgis for the win! In your command shp2pgsql -D -I -s 4326 shapefile pipe to database, I can see that the switch -I creates a GiST index. Quick question: What would a scenario look like where you would not want to use this switch? Thanks in advance. Love your work!
