I feel that! I listened to Nip pretty early on, but I wasn’t up on the early mixtapes since I’m on the east coast/ NJ but that’s why datpiff was so dope. The mixtape game was very regional at local shops, datpiff brought it all together

What i like about him was the growth in his earlier music he talked about gang banging and violence. It was rampant in his city and was going crazy in mine as a kid. So I could relate but as he progressed so did his music and wisdom. Same with me i knew certain things were wrong at had to look into a different direction. I think it was dope because as the fans get older and grow so should the artist. Nowadays artists aren’t doing that and they lose the fans they started with.
