A note to DJ: don't hold the cross all the time! use/hold it wisely instead, the cross can ban every monster/entity beside the figure and seek, It will only slow them down, and non hostile monsters. Don't use it on entity's like screech, eyes or dupe (the door-faker monster). And one final tips: if u think Halt is coming, the thing that killed you at the end of the video, look at the direction the hallway is facing. Then if Halt do come, he will flash your screen with either "turn" or "run". Its like a simon-says game and you have to follow the instructions or you will die. Make it out of the room and your fine! Like some people in the comments might've already said, why DJ died at the end of the video was because of another entity called "Halt". Halt's arrival is signalled by very long flickering, and when you encounter Halt, you'll get teleported to a long hallway. Start walking forwards as soon as you get teleported, as Halt will be right on your tail. Quick tip: don't check the drawers. Unless you're good at opening drawers, doing so will slow you down and put you at risk. When your screen glitches, walk backwards, as that signifies Halt is teleporting in front of you. Whenever the screen glitches, Halt is switching between coming at you from behind and blocking your exit from the front. The goal to survive Halt is to make it to the other end of the hallway and open the door there. Secondary quick tip: don't look back when Halt chooses to teleport in front of you. Stare him in the eye while walking backwards. Let him know you're not scared. While facing the way you're going, you speed up, but you don't need to speed up to back away, as that will be a hassle and cause you more time. Hope this helps! (I bet it does. Also, Dupe doesn't care if you don't have a key, if you try to unlock dupe's door, or if you just press E on it without holding out lockpicks or anything it will still register as you choosing the wrong door.
DOORS TIPS: Alan, the reason you died to the figure is because when someone exits the library, the figure relocks the doors, and will find and kill everyone in the room. Everyone has to exit together, because if you are left behind the figure will find you sorry there's so much information, but these are tips I have for dealing with the more dangerous entities and areas of doors (I will provide information on the secret rooms area once I have more experience with it) Tips for dupe: If you ever enter a room where you can't directly see the exit door, or it has large branches that could hide other doors, the room likely contains a dupe. Also, the key for a locked door will show the correct number Finally, dupes can occasionally have the same door numbers, so look out for pairs if there are multiple doors Ambush tip: Ambush has a very distinct spawn sound, but it's only recognizable if you know what to listen for, as ambush doesn't make the lights flicker. Listen for a peak in the ambience, or exessive amounts of thunder, as ambush will often use this thunder to mask his approach. If ambush does arrive, wait for him to pass you, each cycle will have him loop past your hiding place and quickly pass it again, then exit the closet and jump inside again immeidiately to reset hide's timer(hide is the thing that kicks you out of hiding places) (also worth mentioning, ambush is MUCH faster than rush, so if you suspect ambush is coming, HIDE, as you won't be able to react in time if you don't) (Edit: if you get any candles, save them for room 90 and onwards. the candle will extinguish if any ambushes, rushes or screechs are currently active towards the candle holder. This is key in rooms 90+ because there are no lights, so the candle will act as an early warning for rush)
there is an error here, the candle will extinguish for screech not seek additionally: - ambush can at most loop 6 times back and forth - for halt you should walk forward until you see a static screen with a turnaround symbol on it, that means halt teleported in front of you and you should now go the opposite way, if you see lights flicker and no rush spawns and there are no seek eyes it means that halt is waiting in the next room - for figure, he accelerates with each book you collect, after you collect 2 books, he will be faster than you, the best way to play around him is to keep track of where the lockers are, he cant kill you in a locker unless you mess up the minigame the secret levels (the rooms) are a gauntlet of a 1000 levels with only 3 entities, completely different from the main game, that being said starting from 200th room there is a chance for an earlier exit, entering rooms and exiting them respawns every player, but you cannot respawn in the rooms themselves, crucifix and candle also dont work there, the entities in the rooms are A-60, A-90, A-120, and they are quite annoying, mostly because they can spawn in a room with too few lockers for the players and force you to run back or run ahead, both A-60 and A-120 can also combo with A-90 to really spice things up A-60 is basically rush, no lights to flicker means he can only be heard, he sort of makes a wave of sound A-120 is ambush cause he can bounce back, just like ambush, but he always spawns a few rooms in front of you, he makes sort of a drumming sound A-90 is trickier, he will appear on the screen before making a proper jumpscare, if you move during the jumpscare he will bite you, even if you just move the camera or enter the locker in the rooms there is no time limit for lockers so its usually best to hide in the lockers while the last person outside opens the door to the next room to minimize the risks of A-90 comboing with other entities
Yes, the update is so much crazier! There’s a secret at door 60 if you go in behind one of the closets you’ll see there’s a secret path that you can enter but the door is locked so you have to go to the next room find the lever pull it then go back to room 60 and go that secret path again and you’ll see the door is now open but you’ll need 2 lockpicks and 1 skeleton key to enter. You enter and you’ll see it said The Rooms and……. There’s 1000 room bruh. small tips: when you saw a room with 2 doors that have number, try to open the smaller number door because dupe fake room often have higher room number than the next room, also, to avoid ambush, you have to wait until you hear the ambush sound clearly, then hide in the closet, wait until the ambush gone for a bit, jumb out the closet and enter it again, repeat until the ambush gone
Nope, it can be higher or lower. You should listen for breathing next to a dupe door instead. Also: if there are multiple dupes, duplicate door numbers are wrong, and if there are three door numbers, it's the one in the middle (since dupe can only be one number above or below the actual count).

You guys need to try a rooms run in doors. Basically whenever you get in the elevator, buy 2 lockpicks with your doorknobs(not the gold but the other one), then DO NOT use the lockpicks anywhere, make sure to gather 260 gold, then after door 50 buy the skeleton key, then survive to door 61, if there is a find the lever, find it and then go back to door 60, the lever room may be a bit past 61 as well, on door 60 look behind some closets and bookshelves(check all of them) until you find a sort of back alley, go through the back until you find a little room with a painting, go through that room and you should come across a door that says A-000, use the 2 lockpicks FIRST, then use the skeleton key to open the last lock and go through, then once you see the green flashlight buy it, click it to regain more light from it. You are in the rooms now! Entity A-60: If you hear a loud noise that is coming towards you, kind of like a wave, then hide in a locker, there are broken lockers so be aware, usually spawns past A-090. Entity A-90: As soon as you see a little white face or a stop sign DO NOT MOVE EVEN MOUSE MOVEMENT, usually spawns past A-90. Entity A-120: Will come from the front rather than the back like others, has a loud drum sound to que you to get in a locker, slow so hide in a locker until he is gone(Hide, pushes you out of the closet, isn't in the rooms), usually spawns past A-120. Lastly, get to A-200 or more and you should find a hole in the wall leading back to doors(go to A-1000 for true ending)
When you beat figure on door 50, make sure everyone is by the door when you open it, so if you're guessing, you might as well have everyone guess at the same time, because when the figure gets to the exit of door 50, the door closes, and figure as you can see in the video, will no longer rely on sound, instead they will run at you at Mach 20 to kill you and clean up all the assets.

When Halt comes, you need to go straight forward. You cannot stop for anything. When the screen flashes showing a rotate symbol, turn around and run in the other direction. Every time it does that, you need to turn around and run in the other direction. Do this until you get to the next door.
If you just stay out the main hallway (in a side room) the rush can't get you, and (no spoilers) try to get the secret ending at door 60, and there are coins and doorknobs as the two currencies

There’s actually a theory going around that the wood debris around the library will cause The Figure’s A.I. to make him take a different patrol route. The wiki sites it as not attracting him but gaining his interest. If that’s true, it would explain why for some he doesn’t walk near the door and for other he does
Here is a tip when dupe comes (the fake door) : go to the wall next to the door if it wont open go to the next one and try the same thing. Hopefully it will help
It is a *very* bad idea to run back a room to find a closet. Usually the game accommodates with more players by having just enough closets for everyone to find when Rush/ Ambush is coming. So if you can't find a closet to use in the room you're in, *do not panic.* Continue forward as fast as you can, there will most likely be an extra 4 more closets for you to hide in. (Though if there is a closet a room back, and you're still in that room, go ahead in hide, it's very situational.) (Also Extra tip: Listen to guiding light when dying to the same entity multiple times... It usually spills new info if it says something like "You died to Halt... Again."
@@hotcieling I once tried hiding at the very back of rooms in a hallway before. That's when I learned to not be in the door's view, I forgot about the line of sight thing rush and ambush has.
If there is only one or two lights flickerung you can ignore it, it is just for a spook. But if all the lights flicker, thats the part where you wanna hide (;
A note for rush or ambush: Rush and Ambush will only spawn in rooms with enough closets for everyone, and some rooms will be extended but you have to crawl under something like a fallen bookshelf or closet, like how Aiden ran back into a different room and died to Rush, he just had to keep going forward and he would've found a closet.
Here’s a cool secret to do once you’ve “finished the game” by getting to door 100 and passing it. I won’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil it but basically look around at door 60, there will be a secret passageway. Then, activate the gate on 61. After that have two lock picks and one skeleton key to open the door and well… good luck.
Keep in mind that you need the candle for the door 90s. Once it goes out, hide in a closet because it means that a monster is near, like Rush. Screech can also appear too if the candle goes out, but he rarely comes anyway.
Fun Fact: Around door 60 in a dark room with closets, behind one of the right closets it’s a hole that’ll lead to a secret area with a gate. To open the game, go to the next room and find the lever underground. The next room will always be a dark room which makes finding the lever worse. Once you find it, go back and through the gate and you’ll see a door. You need two lock picks and a skeleton key to open the door and enter The Rooms
how to avoid halt: if you get teleported into Halt's hallway, keep running forward and if the Halt floats down in front of you, walk backwards until it leaves and run forwards and keep repeating this until you escape the hall
to get around dupe; The real door will open while you are farther away compared to having to get close to Dupe's door. Also, if you listen, Dupe will growl at you if you get too close. I found that out by accident.
on door 50, before entering the right number OR going through (figure might force you through if the door is already opened, thats why before entering the right number is there) you should wait for your friends to go upstairs and near the door, then you enter in the code / go through
Hi, I'm a helper just pay attention to what I'm saying, there's a secret door called A-1000 on door 60 You can unlock it by pulling a lever and 2 lockpicks and also you'll be needing a skeleton key too. Once you enter the door, you'll be teleported to rooms when you have to reached 1000 doors. Meanwhile you'll be encountering 3 entities, A-60 (basically like rush but more agressive), A-90 ( just like screech but if it appears on your screen, STOP MOVING, DON'T EVEN LOOK AROUND, LEAVE YOUR CONTROLLER and if it get you it takes 90% of your hp) and lastly A-120 ( also like ambush but only comes once or twice from the front and listen carefully for it arrival because it has a very silencing sound). Closets are available. As you progress through the doors, the rooms will get darker until it's pitch black so carry a torch with you(you'll see batteries scattered around) and all is good to go. *WARNING: THE CROSS DOES NOT WORK ON THESE THREE ENTITIES* Enjoy the nightmare :) (You'll get an rare achievement if you complete it). Thank you. (Btw the entity that killed DJ works like this, you go forward, the screen flickers then go backwards and again the screen flickers then go forward again. Repeat the process until you reach the end door)
Also why the figure is so fast is because after you complete the code make sure all the players are there! After the door closes the figure gets a huge speed buff and knows where all players are! If you are hiding in a closet it will insta-kill you without the minigame.
Guys, if you can't find another closet, go to the next room, not the last one. Rush and Ambush come from behind, they will most likely get you while going back

Alan, you died because every book you get, the faster he gets. He also automatically knows where you are once you do the code, and you're not out in time. (So DJ and Aiden technically killed you)
Some tips: - Make sure you all escape the library together! Figure quite literally kills anyone left behind! - Don't always hold the cross, since it can be wasted on smaller entities like Dupe or Screech - Try not to jump in a closet immediately after seeing the lights flicker, since Hide might push you out before Rush/Ambush arrives - Halt makes a small noise before he appears, if you think he's coming continue to go forward, since he usually initially spawns behind you, only turn when the screen tells you too - I don't know if you know this, but the books in door 50 emit a small noise when you get close to them. If you really don't know where they are, try to listen while you walk. One last thing, if there isn't enough closets for everyone in the room, but the room is big enough and has side room, most of the time standing in one of the side rooms is enough to save you. The same goes for basements, and rooms that have an "upstairs" that doesn't lead to the next room. As long as you are out of Ambush/Rush's immediate pathing (which is directly to the next room) you'll likely survive. (and get an achievement)
I have a tip for you guys if you want to avoid dupe you can do it easily if the door is on a long wall go to the side of the door and start listening if it’s a fake door you can hear dupes heart beats, but if the door is up stairs or is on a small wall it’s more tricky you have to get close as you can without opening the door
If there is a long flicker there is a chance it is halt, halt is an entity that teleports behind you and in front. You don’t have to turn around, you can just walk back and forth

BTW when there aren't enough closets to hide in hide in you have to hide in plan sight. So Rush will come through the door you just came, so your going to have to hide on the far side of the closet away from the door you just entered in. If that makes sense.
When you see a door with no lock/number/obvious damage on it, you can go in there and find a potential treasure chest, locked treasure chest, loot drawer, or hiding place. The locked chest has the best chance of finding the best loot, and it requires lockpicks to open. The regular chest has good loot, no lockpick required. The loot drawers are just basic drawers. The Hiding spot is a hiding spot
Since most of the people here only give out what Halt does, here's a tip for him You don't need to turn around for Halt at all, if the screen flashes the "Turn Back" thing, just go backwards, it'll save time
What are the chances? Halt is 2% chance to spawn entity that makes u turn around from time to time until u reach the end of the corridor. Dont turn around, just walk backward or forward. And about Screech. You better check for him every 15 seconds cuz he often shows up without psst, or with psst after biting. Also check for him after going out of the dark room. Bring as many as possible light sources into the greenhouse (goes after door 90). Im pretty sure that im not the only one who wants to watch u beat rooms in doors. tip in halt. dont stop moving. go forward and if there is a Turn around like screen turn around because he will be in front of you so you can run back agian repeat that agian and if you wanna if halt is going to the next door. if the light starts flickering many times rush isn't coming its just halt going to the next door
tip with halt, when he says turn back or run away, just do a 180 and keep going that direction until he says turn back or run away then u can do another 180 and just keep doing that until u reach the end of the hallway \
Also to beat door 50, just go get the paper first and the books if you can hear a sound from bookshelf means the book is near and you can collect them,and always crouch.

There’s a secret at door 60 if you go in behind one of the closets you’ll see there’s a secret path that you can enter but the door is locked so you have to go to the next room find the lever pull it then go back to room 60 and go that secret path again and you’ll see the door is now open but you’ll need 2 lockpicks and 1 skeleton key to enter. You enter and you’ll see it said The Rooms and……. There’s 1000 room bruh. But there’s the item at the end is called The Scanner (I think) and it helps you to find the item really easy

small tips: when you saw a room with 2 doors that have number, try to open the smaller number door because dupe fake room often have higher room number than the next room, also, to avoid ambush, you have to wait until you hear the ambush sound clearly, then hide in the closet, wait until the ambush gone for a bit, jumb out the closet and enter it again, repeat until the ambush gone
also, apparently, you can hear dupe breathing behind the fake door.
Nope, it can be higher or lower. You should listen for breathing next to a dupe door instead. Also: if there are multiple dupes, duplicate door numbers are wrong, and if there are three door numbers, it's the one in the middle (since dupe can only be one number above or below the actual count).

You guys need to try a rooms run in doors. Basically whenever you get in the elevator, buy 2 lockpicks with your doorknobs(not the gold but the other one), then DO NOT use the lockpicks anywhere, make sure to gather 260 gold, then after door 50 buy the skeleton key, then survive to door 61, if there is a find the lever, find it and then go back to door 60, the lever room may be a bit past 61 as well, on door 60 look behind some closets and bookshelves(check all of them) until you find a sort of back alley, go through the back until you find a little room with a painting, go through that room and you should come across a door that says A-000, use the 2 lockpicks FIRST, then use the skeleton key to open the last lock and go through, then once you see the green flashlight buy it, click it to regain more light from it. You are in the rooms now! Entity A-60: If you hear a loud noise that is coming towards you, kind of like a wave, then hide in a locker, there are broken lockers so be aware, usually spawns past A-090. Entity A-90: As soon as you see a little white face or a stop sign DO NOT MOVE EVEN MOUSE MOVEMENT, usually spawns past A-90. Entity A-120: Will come from the front rather than the back like others, has a loud drum sound to que you to get in a locker, slow so hide in a locker until he is gone(Hide, pushes you out of the closet, isn't in the rooms), usually spawns past A-120. Lastly, get to A-200 or more and you should find a hole in the wall leading back to doors(go to A-1000 for true ending)

When you beat figure on door 50, make sure everyone is by the door when you open it, so if you're guessing, you might as well have everyone
guess at the same time, because when the figure gets to the exit of door 50, the door closes, and figure as you can see in the video, will no longer rely on sound, instead they will run at you at Mach 20 to kill you and clean up all the assets.

When Halt comes, you need to go straight forward. You cannot stop for anything. When the screen flashes showing a rotate symbol, turn around and run in the other direction. Every time it does that, you need to turn around and run in the other direction. Do this until you get to the next door.
No, you don't have to turn around. If he's in front of you, hold S, if he's behind you, hold W. That is enough and is much easier

There’s actually a theory going around that the wood debris around the library will cause The Figure’s A.I. to make him take a different patrol route. The wiki sites it as not attracting him but gaining his interest.

Here is a tip when dupe comes (the fake door) : go to the wall next to the door if it wont open go to the next one and try the same thing. Hopefully it will help
It is a *very* bad idea to run back a room to find a closet. Usually the game accommodates with more players by having just enough closets for everyone to find when Rush/ Ambush is coming. So if you can't find a closet to use in the room you're in, *do not panic.* Continue forward as fast as you can, there will most likely be an extra 4 more closets for you to hide in. (Though if there is a closet a room back, and you're still in that room, go ahead in hide, it's very situational.)
(Also Extra tip: Listen to guiding light when dying to the same entity multiple times... It usually spills new info if it says something like "You died to Halt... Again."
True, and just to add on, you don't even need to hide in closets, you can also hide under beds or at the very back of rooms in a hallway.

A note for rush or ambush: Rush and Ambush will only spawn in rooms with enough closets for everyone, and some rooms will be extended but you have to crawl under something like a fallen bookshelf or closet, like how Aiden ran back into a different room and died to Rush, he just had to keep going forward and he would've found a closet.

Here’s a cool secret to do once you’ve “finished the game” by getting to door 100 and passing it. I won’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil it but basically look around at door 60, there will be a secret passageway. Then, activate the gate on 61. After that have two lock picks and one skeleton key to open the door and well… good luck.
Keep in mind that you need the candle for the door 90s. Once it goes out, hide in a closet because it means that a monster is near, like Rush. Screech can also appear too if the candle goes out, but he rarely comes anyway.
Fun Fact: Around door 60 in a dark room with closets, behind one of the right closets it’s a hole that’ll lead to a secret area with a gate. To open the game, go to the next room and find the lever underground. The next room will always be a dark room which makes finding the lever worse. Once you find it, go back and through the gate and you’ll see a door. You need two lock picks and a skeleton key to open the door and enter The Rooms

You have to 100% this game. We the fans gonna hold you hostage until you beat the game and get every badge. Including getting A-1000 badge
to get around dupe; The real door will open while you are farther away compared to having to get close to Dupe's door. Also, if you listen, Dupe will growl at you if you get too close. I found that out by accident.
on door 50, before entering the right number OR going through (figure might force you through if the door is already opened, thats why before entering the right number is there) you should wait for your friends to go upstairs and near the door, then you enter in the code / go through
For the rush death at 2:00, there was more lockers in the other half of the room...
Hi, I'm a helper just pay attention to what I'm saying, there's a secret door called A-1000 on door 60 You can unlock it by pulling a lever and 2 lockpicks and also you'll be needing a skeleton key too.
Once you enter the door, you'll be teleported to rooms when you have to reached 1000 doors.
Meanwhile you'll be encountering 3 entities, A-60 (basically like rush but more agressive), A-90 ( just like screech but if it appears on your screen, STOP MOVING, DON'T EVEN LOOK AROUND, LEAVE YOUR CONTROLLER and if it get you it takes 90% of your hp) and lastly A-120 ( also like ambush but only comes once or twice from the front and listen carefully for it arrival because it has a very silencing sound). Closets are available.
As you progress through the doors, the rooms will get darker until it's pitch black so carry a torch with you(you'll see batteries scattered around) and all is good to go.
*WARNING: THE CROSS DOES NOT WORK ON THESE THREE ENTITIES*

Also why the figure is so fast is because after you complete the code make sure all the players are there! After the door closes the figure gets a huge speed buff and knows where all players are! If you are hiding in a closet it will insta-kill you without the minigame.

Some tips:
- Make sure you all escape the library together! Figure quite literally kills anyone left behind!
- Don't always hold the cross, since it can be wasted on smaller entities like Dupe or Screech
- Try not to jump in a closet immediately after seeing the lights flicker, since Hide might push you out before Rush/Ambush arrives
- Halt makes a small noise before he appears, if you think he's coming continue to go forward, since he usually initially spawns behind you, only turn when the screen tells you too
- I don't know if you know this, but the books in door 50 emit a small noise when you get close to them. If you really don't know where they are, try to listen while you walk.
One last thing, if there isn't enough closets for everyone in the room, but the room is big enough and has side room, most of the time standing in one of the side rooms is enough to save you. The same goes for basements, and rooms that have an "upstairs" that doesn't lead to the next room. As long as you are out of Ambush/Rush's immediate pathing (which is directly to the next room) you'll likely survive. (and get an achievement)

If there is a long flicker there is a chance it is halt, halt is an entity that teleports behind you and in front. You don’t have to turn around, you can just walk back and forth

When you see a door with no lock/number/obvious damage on it, you can go in there and find a potential treasure chest, locked treasure chest, loot drawer, or hiding place.
The locked chest has the best chance of finding the best loot, and it requires lockpicks to open.
The regular chest has good loot, no lockpick required.
The loot drawers are just basic drawers.

Bring as many as possible light sources into the greenhouse (goes after door 90). Im pretty sure that im not the only one who wants to watch u beat rooms in doors.
