I always like the professional break downs either from choreographers, producers or voice trainers. They provide great insight as to why I may like something opposed to others. It really is ART. And like all art, its subjective as to a persons individual tastes/preferences. I can appreciate the efforts of everyone who create it.
Glad you pointed out that Minji had to try harder than the rest because of her natural lower tone (being a mezzo-soprano maybe) in this recording. Her trying to adjust the way she approaches those higher notes in the beginning of the chorus is very admirable. In fact, I'm actually surprised they actually gave her chorus but the result is chef kiss so yeah good job Minji.
Truee , i watched another video of vocal trainers and they also mentioned that they could see how minji worked/practiced hard to keep up with the higher tone of the song. It made me feel proud of her , she slayed💯
I agree fully! When I first heard New jeans, I fell in love with their comfortable voice tones, more in the low register, almost like they were talking just to you in a conversation. It was very intimate. When you add the fairly minimal music production, with a smooth Synthesizer in almost every track, it combines into a really nice, mellow sound. They added the updated intros (like in Hypeboy, Attention, etc.) to give it a fresh twist on some old concepts, perhaps 1990s R&B updated with fresh young girls. And when you add their synced but variable Choreo, it gave the MVs a real approachable feel, like girls just having fun at the high school gym, which invites so many to want to join into the fun. Brilliant concept! It really contrasts with most GGs today, with the overproduced, slick perfection Visials, and the Epic, Cinematic musical feel, or the chopped up multiple genre concept (Aespa, NMixx, etc) which has pushed things too Advant Garde for most people's tastes. New Jeans feels comfortable, but new, like their name says, New Jeans! IT will be interesting to see how Baby Monster debuts and where New Jeans fits with that competition. So many new GGs!
I find their "teenagers in love" concept adorable and relatable even to adult listeners. Heck it reminds me of my puppy love years :P. At some point they gotta evolve and sing about other themes, but for now I'm going to enjoy and root for these kids.
@@anamrake their songs are really catchy and their concept is accessible to the masses. If you want more polish and mature skills, with better R&B/Hiphop sounds, go to XG Xtroadinary Girls! Off the chart skills! Sings only in English! But Japanese fluent in Korean, and most speak English, too.
5:43! This describes Haerin the most. Skills aspect. I never saw her as a boring performer, sly singer or dancer, because she has a lot of awareness on what she's doing and actually smart in delivering them. It's really impressive. So cute! ㅋㅋ

이게 보컬을 논하면서 올리치기하는 자체가 개그임... 요즘 3,4세대 아이돌은 보정이 필수! 보컬실력을 크게 안봄.. 보정을 할수없는 환경에서 라이브를 하지않는 이유도 기술로 인한 차이는 막귀가 들어도 알수있어서.. 다만, 마마무나 엔믹스처럼 구멍이 전혀없는 걸그룹팀이 한번씩 나오긴함..
