Miss Cleo was the ultimate scam artist when it came to her so-called physic hotline. May she continue to rest in beautiful peace and serenity 😔🕊️🌻🌹🌈☮️❤
Several of these 1 900 #s were linked to child trafficking throughout the 80's. What better way to get multiple random children's names, ages, descriptions, addresses, & actually be able to exert influence upon them by talking to them.
is there a source for this? because this seems like it would be more trouble than just... running up the minutes. not saying it's not true but this sounds like something that would circulate on chain emails.
This was the 80's through about the mid 90's. I'm sorry, did you say email? I imagine the cell phone records for Verizon & Apple Cloud for the iPhone would still be archived somewhere though... Many children back then weren't using landlines. They would just borrow their parents Galaxy or iPhone.
The video game tip hotline is dope though. In the 90s I used to use the players guides you could buy, but it honestly would’ve been cool to talk to a real person too. The 80s obviously is awkward when we look back at it but it also seems like it was a fun time to be alive at the same time.
I was a kid in the 80’s. I knew a couple kids who called the video game hint hotlines sometimes (with parent permission lol), but those were the only ones I ever heard of anybody I knew actually calling.
Also, I don’t get the Paula Abdul hotline 😅 “she’s gonna tell you everything” “call me twice and I’ll send you and autograph picture”. You can’t just request an autograph in the first call? What does she have to tell you? 😂 what takes the cake though is asking your parents to go cry in the phone hahahah.
What makes people all over America break down and cry like this?
*Looks at phone bill.
"Hi you've reached the Corey hotline. Here are some words that rhyme with Corey - Glory, Story, Allegory, Montosaury..."
the 1-900 phone system was quite the scam before the internet came along aahahaaaa
Laughing at the “if you’re under 18, ask parents permission” for the Corey Haim one considering he looks 13. 😂
Amazing🤣🤣
The bad acting in the first crying video reminds me of those 80s and 90s acting school
clips that look awkward and cheesy.
Wow. The world before widespread Internet 😮
900 Number: "Get your parents permission"
Me: "Mom, can I be a Jr Vampire?"
Mom: "This is why your dad left".
This is great.

@@AryanLyncher I guess then it would be chain letters, you're right
@@AryanLyncherthey didn't have the Galaxy or iPhone in the 90s that early
Sarcasm much?

Wow, how bad is your credit that you need to call a 900 number and get billed $35 for the call just to even hope to get a loan?
Did anybody actually call
This numbers? Your parents ? Grandparents?

Tiffany hotline. She's still touring.
She's has to sing in a mall because she sucks
Starting off strong with the crying one.
Always wondered if some of these are still active, if so; I want to call Corey, Paula Abdul, and Ice Cube to see what's up while wearing my BR swag
Corey has been dead for about 14 years now
They would all have a recorded msg of "we outtie at 5k" or feldman singing his latest miss
Kids remember to ask your parents permission 😉
Carly Rae Jepsen should of came out w/ one of these in the 2010'$
