was omega really seen as the worst god lead. I remember it being PHY Broly as the worst god lead. Lowering atk by 30 percent was really strong back then because every boss was able to be atk debuffed.
Can you increase your volume on your videos i can barely hear you. I have to increase my volume on speakers to 160% to hear you. And keep up the great work 😄
Yo, Plouf. I Haven't finished the video but I've been absolutely loving seeing these points in Dokkan history, I played at this point but very casually so I didn't know what was actually going on at the time, and seeing what was going down all those years ago is really interesting. That being said, I just got to the point where you talk about AGL Super Vegito's release and I couldn't help but notice that STR Vegito @KaizenMix remix, and had to speak on your good taste. Perfect musical choice
I disagree with him being comparatively stronger than Gogeta on launch, but Vegito was still my GOAT for years! And now, both his and Gogeta's time is coming again with a SEZA. Fingers crossed they don't fumble
@thelegendaryplouf coming from a player who's been their since before the first Anni. NO vegito was Wayyyyy wayy stronger. His counters alone could finish battles. NO comparison what so ever. He did as much damage as gogeta plus his counters
A Tornado Watch?! I'm not from the US, so I can't even imagine what that's like. Stay safe and take care of yourself bro. Glad I could make your day a bit better!
Fun fact about phy 70% broly: when performing dokkan awakening and setting his level back to 1 his defence will actually be higher than regular UR lv 100. His defence was THAT low (it was hilarious to see that). If you don't believe me go check the wiki page of his pre and post dokkan awakening
The reason SSB Kaioken Goku was named as a regular SSB was that they wanted you to use the PHY SSB Goku they were giving out in the precedent celebration to raise his super attack
Watching your videos always bring a smile to my face. Your energy and enthusiasm rejoicing about what once was some of the most fun time of our lives is really enjoyable. Thank you Plouf! edit: Grammar
My 2 cents on the meta that's coming next. The Blue Vegito VS Black Rosè meta. I don't know why, but there is a lot of people that's under the impression that Blue Vegito dominated the game or something. I played during that meta, and I think it's... factually wrong. In one of the rarest instances of Dokkan history, where I genuinally think that EXTREMES were dominating the game. Not as singular units, but as a cohesive team. There are various facts that contributed to this. I'll try list them. - This is pre 2nd year Dokkan. None of the bosses had debuff immunities. This meant that all the villains that were capable of debuffing (such as Omega and Buuhan for ATK lowering, or Turles for stunning) were greatly crippling the enemy. Super type relied way less on debuffs, and much more on big damage numbers. - Due to Black Rose AGL passive skill, Extremes had a way easier time playing TEQ Fusion Zamasu as one of their leaders, which gave less ki but more stats. AGL Black Rosè essentially gave back the missing ki to the team. Supers didn't have that luxury, because INT Sword of Hope Trunks was essentially a nuker that was eating the same orbs he was generating, not helping the rest of the rotation with Ki, so Supers had to settle on a double Vegito Blue lead most of the time, with a 40% stat loss compared to the OG God Leaders. - PHY Blue Vegito was a character that was highly dependant on having dupes. Don't get me wrong, at 55% he was still GOOD, but he really really needed those points on crits and additonals to truly shine, that's because at 55% he launched additionals thanks to his passive, but more often than not those additionals were NORMALS, greatly crippling his damage potential. His punch tanking wasn't as good as AGL Vegito's for obvious reasons. - AGL Black Rose, on the other hand, almost didn't care about dupes. Sure, with dupes he could've hit harder and crit more often, but it wasn't necessary, that's because his role was being a good leader and helping the whole rotation with Ki. And in general, Extreme characters weren't exactly DPT focused, sure they did nice damage but that wasn't their main gimmick, and dodge strategies were nonexistent, so that's why the dupes on AGL Rosè felt "less needed". - BOSS RUSH 2 being the hardest event in the game, Extreme's healing, debuffing and overall utility was better than Super's team focus on counters and other DPT strategies. Boss rush was extremely long and you really wanted to save as many items as possible. Both Super and Extreme were capable of clearing Boss Rush 2, but of the two teams, Extreme was the one having an easier time and a more consistent winrate. I think that a lot of people remember, or think, that Vegito Blue was king of the game due to... well.. him being Vegito Blue, I guess. But I can guarantee, that was definitely an Extreme-centric Meta. I remember it fondly, it was definitely the best meta of early Dokkan, mostly because of the balancing of the new Super and Extreme leaders, they didn't completely eclipse 70% Type God Leaders, which were still viable choices against tougher Dokkan Events. This situation lasted all the way to 2nd anniversary. 2nd anniversary actually destroyed the previous meta, the focus returned on DPT (mostly because Dokkan events were becoming REALLY easy, so players were taking only completion time into account) and all 120% Extreme leaders except maybe Cooler have been shafted badly during that meta. But that's another story.
I destroyed a lot of content with agl rose and teq Zamasu at the time. Had both of them and ran an extreme team with Buuhan, str broly, full power frieza, teq golden frieza. It had power and it also had defence and agl rose just cleared through stages. Good times
I couldn't pull them at release, but I want to say VB was easier to team build for, and you could just unga bunga through the whole God lead era until Boss Rush during 2nd anni, unless Global got stage 2 Super 3 before then.
From what I could gather, AGL Rose was better on release than Vegito Blue, but once they introduced the Hidden Potential System and you got some dupes on Vegito Blue, he definitely became the better unit. However, in Boss Rush, the extreme team was for sure better. I remember it being the case even during the 3rd-year anniversary with the Potara team and all the healing the Zamasus provided. It also makes sense that the meta was centered around extreme class units. At that time, the extreme class had 11 Dokkan Fests while the super class only had 9. By the way, I really appreciate your comments. Hearing all that from an actual OG really helps a ton during the scripting part of these videos 💪
Did the release of the god leaders kill units with flat ATK buffs in their passive? Percentage boosts became so much better with percentage leader skills, but it seems like they kept releasing flat boost units for some reason.
To put this in perspective I got 1000 days Goku before Prime Battle LR SSJ Goku.
These videos are the best, can't wait for the category leader skill arc.
That prime battle goku grind was so insane, I still dont have him😂 if he gets a seza i MIGHT do the grind lol
was omega really seen as the worst god lead. I remember it being PHY Broly as the worst god lead. Lowering atk by 30 percent was really strong back then because every boss was able to be atk debuffed.
broly was the worst
omegas team was really uncohesive tho bc it was really super type over in a flash heavy and didn't mesh well with him
16:43 this was one of my first ssr and i thought he was so good because he was super saiyan blue 😭
Can you increase your volume on your videos i can barely hear you. I have to increase my volume on speakers to 160% to hear you. And keep up the great work 😄
YOOOOOOOO 40 PURE DOKKAN HISTORY MINUTES??? FOR REAL BRO NEVER STOP !!! ❤❤❤

Really loving these and with the release of Super EZAs it helps me see which old Dokkanfest units to look out for
Awesome as always.
Thx for your work!
Super Vegito was truly the GOAT of GOATS. The King Of Kings. Comparing him to Gogeta is like comparing the 5th Anni Fusions to Beast
He was insane, but Gogeta was still stronger as a unit on release😅
woah woah lets let down the bias here
Well no is like comparing goku and vegeta blue with broly agl because the blue have all super 150%
I disagree with him being comparatively stronger than Gogeta on launch, but Vegito was still my GOAT for years!

Love these videos! Great job man!
Thanks! Glad you like them!
In a thunderstorm and tornado watch currently but this made my day even Better!!😊
A Tornado Watch?! I'm not from the US, so I can't even imagine what that's like. Stay safe and take care of yourself bro. Glad I could make your day a bit better!
@@thelegendaryplouf oh yeah tis actually terrible
It passed for me (mostly)
But I fear for those in the other parts of Kentucky
Be safe bro 💪
I never realized global got the dragon ball heroes characters so late. Cool video
I remember back in the day not having an awakened super gogeta and doing 600k damage with a friend str ss4 goku. Good days
Been loving this series and commentary so far!, can't wait for Dokkan History #9 🙌🙏
Glad you enjoy it!

That's actually quite an interesting fact. I'll probably mention it in the second-year compilation.
1:39 i can agree
I got him last year and my god
It took like a week to finally get him
Thank god I had LRs
Good thing for once when I just had the most miserable 2 days cleaning my backyard, nice.

Ahhhhh, yeah, this does make a lot of sense.
