A number of years ago I decided I would not be ruled by fear. I felt fear one day on a walk. I ignored it thinking - I’m not going to be controlled by fear anymore lol. So I kept walking and as I was about to pass a car that was blocking the sidewalk a HUGE and angry/frightened Rottweiler charge at me barking and growling and trying to break away from its leash being held by a tiny little 12 year old kid. The kid held on with all of his strength. I walked past and I realized that ignoring fear was an act of my ego. I’m loving this video because understanding if fear is assisting me and keeping my body safe or if it’s a conditioned response of separation is so important! Thank you✨

Same thing happened to me, except I was hit over the head by a gang of 3 teenagers. My fear had told me ahead of time, "cross the street or go back in the house". I didn't, because I thought the fear was a form of racism and so I didn't move.
This video reminded me that I trained myself to all but extinguish fear because I thought by doing so, I would no longer be controlled, either by my own anxiety or the anxiety of my parents. I started by shutting off my night light and forcing myself to sleep in the dark.
I am committed to taking a more loving and gentle approach now. I will also learn when to separate myself from toxic influences.

The concept that fear is like an alarm clock has served me well. The first thing to do when the alarm sounds is to shut it off so you can think clearly without the jarring distraction. Once the fear alarm is shut off you can assess the situation with a calmer attitude.

I would like to add that blocked negative emotions get stored in the body and are felt as tension. We can release them by fully feeling them without resisting or holding on. It has to be experienced to fully be understood, but when you get it right, there is a tremendous feeling if lightness and bliss when the energy is released. It is also important to know that we function on many levels simultaneously, so the less you’re identified with the body and instead can feel yourself as part of the infinite field of awareness, the easier this process will be.

4:50 I'm going to give an example of me releasing some trauma the other day from my PTSD. Because I think it really kind of hits on the note of what you're saying.
So the other day I was having a hard time and was having an episode and my heart rate was up pretty well, but I was shaking really bad. And my breathing kept trying to get messed up and I had to keep focusing back on it.
I was in the middle of working, so naturally I kind of tried pushing it aside. Which is always a mistake, but my attention was elsewhere....
So then I heard a voice, It was my higher self, saying you know the drill. Feel into it.... So I attempt to feel into it.
    I say I can't find it....
Then my higher self says well. Where is it? And I said it's nowhere.
And then I started cracking the f****** because that was the lesson.... Wasn't even there.... Now some people are probably reading this thinking what?
I know some people will understand. But it was there and everything, I was having a hard time and there is trauma in my nervous system that's been working out. And the drill I use is to find the center of that, but often there's no center because it's a network with many centers. And I have to bring the whole network into my attention to let it go. Which is not that easy.
So when I was scanning to do that, there was no centers in this network. It was almost like it was remnants of a network of trauma. And it was gone as instant as my higher self asked. Where is it?
If you're going through any trauma or even just have a physical injury. Feel into the center of the center of the center etc etc of that injury... Make sure to give it your loving attention.. often it will help to even visualize the golden white light. Maybe not necessary but I think it just adds another layer of attention to it. For me I often do better with my eyes opened, which is a weird thing from but I have all sorts of weird things like that so.... Always feel into it though, because if you don't find it how do you hope to let it go?
And if you search for it but it's not even there. What do you have to let go?

@@JohnMack-dg6uu You're welcome John! Glad to help. It's a messed up thing to go through, especially when it's intense cuz our society doesn't really get it yet. And well you can't even really go to most doctors and get what you really need... They at least understand PTSD... Not the general public. They understand it exists... That's about it. No, no real thought into what it actually means or would feel like, so no true empathy. I didn't have any either.
And I didn't understand how some of these things caused people trauma. I still don't completely. Not how it gets stuffed down so well at least. But I do now understand that it's way less the situation or circumstances, and way more how you perceived it.....
Thus, meaning, you have to understand that everybody's subjective experience and views are just that their experience. And it's real to them whether it's mental or physical for you to see.... Same with pain...
But yeah I think a lot of guys are going to have a similar issue going through drug addiction because we have so many in opiate addictions.... So I do think that my info and experiences is useful for some people and unfortunately will be growing.....
Because you don't hear many people talk about it being a network. They constantly talk of if it's going to be one little spot... And I think this is what they talk about as complex trauma.
Completely honest though. John, I don't know that much about PTSD even though I have it. It's by design, because I realized right away that if you took the approach of reading everything about it. You're only giving it more life an exasperating it.... That doesn't mean not to study or know anything.. only what's necessary to rebuild your parasympathetic nervous system and exercise it while you're sympathetic. Loses its strength that it has... And it's very unfortunate. Our society, todd if you need help like me because you lost your house and are sleeping in your car.., well I am enticed to be a victim and take a victim mindset every time I ask for help.....
And we wonder why so many of us have a poverty and victim mindset. It is nurtured at all times basically.....
So being that you're going through some of this, that's your biggest thing man. Make sure you do not take a victim or poverty mindset.... Or it's going to try to trap you. Then the next trap is going to be a spiritual ego mindset.... Certainly better to be there than in the poverty mindset. However still not good... The one where you think you're special because something really cool happened that doesn't happen to your everyday guy... Yeah watch out for those. And I shouldn't call them traps because they're really just lesson. But I found myself trapped before so.....lol
And the main things I've done to help myself have been ice bath, breath work and meditation along with affirmations......
I've been very adamant about letting the energy flow. I feel and symptoms actually kind of guide themselves. Sometimes I'll give them a little push like a feather in the wind. At one point because of all the muscle cramping and spasms I was having, I had a real hard time doing breath work proper. So I accidentally pushed my Kundalini energy up. Big mistake.... Do not ever push anything in meditation.. You can seriously injure yourself.
If you're experiencing any of the symptoms I went over, I want to refer you to Forrest Knutson youtube channel. Check out his exercises. He has beautiful clinical information from a Yogi's viewpoint. That's perfect for westerners to learn all of this...
He's basically been my teacher even though I don't know him. Sarah has been a little bit too. Good luck! Here's to an optimal healing!

Understanding the Singular Dance of Existence,...
      Dear fellow adventurer,
I know the thought of eternal existence can be overwhelming; however, let me share how I came to embrace it. Understand that 'being' is not the only state available to us. In fact, there are infinite modes of being, anything one can imagine being, you already are, have always been, and will always be.
We often think of existence in terms of linear time, choosing to forget that we are the singular entity, the 'I AM,' and opting instead to immerse ourselves in the illusion of separateness fostered by the ego. If we were fully aware, we would understand that we are alone as the singularity for eternity. Without the divine play, there is only a void where not even darkness exists. The first awareness was of darkness, which then beckoned the light into being with "Let there be light."
Everything emanates from the 'I AM'-there is no 'other' from which to create. To choose non-existence would leave no one to acknowledge that the 'I AM' ever was. Only in existence do we encounter the illusion of time; in the timeless eternal being, we are both the moment of creation and the void of singularity.
This is the secret of the 'One.' The realization that being the 'I AM' can be intimidating-not being able to cease existing. But here is a profound lesson I happend upon: In our life review, typically imagined as occurring after death, we relive our lives not from our own perspective but through the eyes of those we interacted with. If one harms another, during this review, one experiences the full impact of their actions, not as punishment, but as enlightenment-a means to truly understand the effects of one's actions from every perspective touched by them.
This review isn't just about empathy; it's about truly understanding that there is no separation between self and universe, or between beings. What seems to be 'other' is actually part of the singular dance of existence. Before wisdom, there must be ignorance; for if I knew everything, there would be no journey, no dance at all. Every belief in 'otherness' is a divine secret, obvious only when pointed out.
In truth, there is no 'and', there is only 'is'. The concept of separation is a play of the divine, allowing the singular existence to dance in the form of many. Remember, just as an eyelash is not separate from the eye, we are not separate from each other or from the universe. We are all part of this magnificent dance, playing our parts in the grand scheme of the cosmos.
Embrace this dance, dear Friend, for it is through these steps that we come to know ourselves and the universe as one in times of our own timelessness.
P.S. (I teach nothing, I simply remind you that you knew it all along.

That's what my higher self has said so often when I tighten up due to fear and it's talking in my muscles, joints and fascia. It's gone within 30 seconds and feels like the aura expands too... Expansion dilutes fear until it appears absent but then just a programme running in the background but not the dominant force.

Thank you for yet another enlightening video 🙏🙌💜
I’m compelled to share an experience I had with fear, in 2018. After 6 months of debilitating anxiety (developed after a non-integrated psychedelic journey), I finally one evening decided that I was going to try and meditate (which I had been avoiding for those 6 months, as it triggered anxiety attacks). I had written down a quote from Pema Chodron, along the lines of “place your fear in a cradle of compassion and love”. So I sat down to meditate and the moment I started tuning in, all of my anxiety symptoms came up; heartbeat running wild, lost feeling in my limbs, etc, but I trusted my ability to regulate this with the tricks I’d picked up, so I stayed in meditation despite all the red lights. The strangest shift happened: all that cortisol buzzing in my body transmutated into a rosy golden light, and I experienced myself disappear while expanding infinitely. An oxymoron I have since recalled from my early childhood (as a small child; approx 3 yr, I had these sensations of disappearing infinitely whilst expanding infinitely, they were so intense I had to open my eyes).
I became the observer of all of the phenomena in my body, yet I was unattached. I literally observed how I could be sitting upside down, or my legs were miles long, reality was malleable and flexible. The rules of gravity and time and space did not apply. I sat like this just observing my mind doing it’s thing, until I decided to come back and start feeling my body again. As I ‘resurfaced’ I broke down in joy and gratitude. My whole being had been blasted with golden light for an hour, and I was so grateful for having trusted myself -this was a non-egoic gratitude. I was ecstatic for the rest of the night, in awe, and almost in disbelief that something that profound could have happened to me. It doesn’t sound like much on paper, but this experience was much much wilder than any psychedelic journey I’ve ever been on. Just by going through the eye of the needle (my fear), and staying with it. There’s so much energy in fear to be harnessed.
Since that evening, my anxiety has been gone. It’ll come back every now and then in a much more diluted way, and it won’t linger. I’ll see if I can discern if it’s appearing to inform me of something.
Much love to all of you warriors of the heart 💜

It’s all about reprogramming our minds from what we have been conditioned to believe. Feeling comes from our heart space, our intuition. Our divine intuition is what guides us. It’s our inner compass. Relying on our inner compass should supersede the spoken word. We have to relearn/reprogram our minds to believe in opening up to feeling energy levels. The higher the vibration, the better the vibe. We have to learn to allow our metaphysical properties guide us. That we can trust where our inner compass is guiding us (away and towards).

Thank you for the dharma reminders intruding upon the dumpster fire reports so prevalent in this electric circus. Fearlessness is not easy to learn in this world, but hey no kung fu is ever earned by an easy path. I have been noticing the flicker effect increase lately, and the drag of the old things I used to really worry about is no longer there. In times when the suffer is heavy there's utterly no other noise; birds are my other kin guides in many ways and audio cues is one of them. The chickadee has a sound that led me into deep fears, beyond before I learned to talk. It was heavy and terrifying, felt like nothing in the whole universe but my sense of attack and the sound from the little bird triggering it, like the bird's sound just poked a hole in my perception.
On goes the belly breath and this is the mighty key that returns me back to center much more quickly, and even when it feels like being Frodo alone with The Eye it's like watching it on the screen of my senses while also feeling the ongoing wave of the walk, stepping soft and accurate and walking at a low cardio pace enough to make it aerobic but far below any huffing and puffing of breath, even plugging my ears and humming my own sounds, carrying headphones both as just earmuffs and with sound to obscure the triggering intrusions temporarily.
I'm reminded of the Alchemy process by yesterday's Arcanum Luminarum talk by Lon Milo Duquette on the Egg archetype, shown in the Thoth Tarot in the sequence of Magus, Empress, Lovers, Hermit, and the fusing process of Art which is Temperance in most Hermetic decks. And then my Saturn power, the essence of Kung Fu in the East and Craft worthy disciplines in the West. The grit to stay with it, keep breathing and stepping mindfully upon the Earth, to keep the storms from challenging people in my path, the gentleman outside is battling orgres inside and no one but the wild animals and spirits know it, and me doing the thing which is always rooted in the belly pump cause with out that the wisdom might be floating around somewhere, but the human ain't conducting it. Alchemy includes Saturn which is the patience to sit through the process and let it bloom when it blooms.
Trying to impatiently end my hell trips early just makes for more unnecessary suffering. Staying with the disciplines to keep the breath wave going and calling upon the allies in the light even when feeling alone in the dark with the Eye; it's only dear Shiva who has come to divest me of the things preventing my powers from coagulating on Earth so far. Venus Cazimi new Moon! Life is reborn all the better when the hell trips are done with patience and attention to details.

Yes 🙌🏻! I’ve been showing my fear compassion and really hearing the reason behind the fears. “I believe you and I’m sorry you’re afraid” and “it’s a real risk we are aware of.” “I promise you i won’t allow this to happen, now that I know what you fear.” I’m looking to shift it out into the open (Saturn in picses) is shifting subconscious fears by addressing them head on and hearing the truth, releasing the attachment to outcomes. It’s going to continue until Jan 2025.

This is so deep. As a lifelong martial artist, I can so relate. Everytime, before I got in the ring, my brain was paralyzed. It took decades for me to process my fears but for me, it was combat sports, that helped me process my deepest fears. It was the exact feeling of the parent coming home...would they be angry and harm me or would I be okay? The more I got in the ring, the more I faced the opponent that was my new mother wound. The more I accepted that "yep, I'm feeling fear, but Im gonna work through this" the less restricted emotionally I was. The whole process has taught me as I age, that fear is a deep message for me, not to escape but face. This is such a deep video.

Great insights in this video. Love integrates. Fear disintegrates. I see that the ego uses fear to establish individuality. The ego doesn't care how we feel, as long as we feel separate. That's its job. The passage from fear to joy is the spiritual journey. We can experience fear without identifying with it. Your video about self-awareness and self-inquiry is much appreciated. Love and validation is the way to listen to fear. Holding fear like a dirty diaper baby. :)

I've noticed when faced with a difficult challenge and if things are not going as expected, I stop for a moment and just contemplate using "infinite love and gratitude" as a sort of meditative state.....and like a miracle, very soon afterwards things just sort of work themselves out. I thought it was a one-time deal so then decided to start paying attention and every single time that's happened, its like magic. It is very weird but very welcoming. So, with that......infinite love and gratitude Sarah!

Excellent message! This is the embodiment of the dynamic that goes on within a prison. I went into the Texas prison system, as a Correctional Officer, with a lot of fear. I encountered a lot of situations that fear played a huge role, in both my experience and the inmates experience. This message gave me the understanding that though fear is a necessary element of our world, we have to understand how to manage that fear, in ourselves and in the inmate's world. I am beginning to understand why when an emergency situation would come up, I would react instinctively from my training and no fear came into my mind at that time. There was not time for it. Things always went smoothly when I reacted to the situation instead of allowing my fear to control me and have a chance of reacting in the wrong way, based on that fear. It is fear that keeps the majority of the inmate population in the cycle of continuing crime. So, it is the Correctional Officer's responsibility to know when and how to do the right things that show the inmates that we were in control, and they had the power to take on that same control in their lives to break their cycle of fear that was holding them down.

Yesterday I just encountered Fear! Fear of Darkness without knowing why😂. So I decide to look into it. Ask my inner child: ok. What do you fear when we’re in a completely dark room? She said getting hurt without knowing who and where comes from. So I said: well, it’s a good way to practice our intuition and clairaudio skills. I mean my listening skills. So I imagine several unknown form beings attack me from nowhere in the dark room. And I use my strength to resist their attacks one by one. Then I have no fears anymore. Coz I know I can handle it. 😊 with this practice I realise I need to practice my super skills more ❤. And you’re right, fear is a way for us to overcome it so that we can upgrade ourselves. Fear is a friend who help us grow stronger

This couldn’t have come at a better time…. Please I ask for advice, this is a long post so sorry in advance but I wish for help:
I’ve been so miserable lately because I got into studying something I just found out I dislike and started experiencing fear (fear of what happens If I drop out, fear because I moved to another country to study this, fear of being seen as a failure, fear of not being able to find a job) This major fear has left me feeling disappointed in myself, like I’m a “failure” for not being brave, for not trying harder to put up with something I feel is making me unhappy. I feel fear because I feel like I lack control in my situation and it really saddens me. This is the lowest vibrational state I’ve been in years, where I had been doing so well and my spiritual practice was at an all time high. Now I’m so worried I’m vibrating low, and I feel a disconnect from my guides (this saddens me the most. I feel like I can’t contact them or feel them) and I have symbolic dreams of trying not to drown in the ocean and braving immense waves (I have been having these dreams non stop for the past 2 months) I feel extremely emotionally exhausted and worst of all: cornered. This video helped me feel better. I will use this advice but I also wish for words of advice if you’ve ever been in a similar situation. Sorry for the long post but I can’t vent anywhere else

it could be that you're in that country for another reason, that this school was just the thing the universe used to draw you there, try to find the purpose for it. it could just be to help you overcome the bandwagoning nature of society and ascend further into your sovereignty. but don't stick to something you're certain you dislike, that's definitely not your highest timeline. and imo THAT would be failure. failure to follow your heart.

I used to be almost paralyzed by social fear, anxiety, doubt. I was mired in the thought of what other people thought of me. What I discovered was that the feelings of anxiety, anger or fear were like energetic obstructions in my being. I found that the very things that I 'did' to alleviate the fear actually caused it to persist. I am a doer, so when I felt something I didn't like: fear etc, I would immediately begin plotting on what steps I would take in the future to make this unpleasant feeling go away. This inevitably led to confusion, more fear, or actions which had the opposite effect than relief; and ultimately perpetuated circumstances which engendered more fear. This makes sense, doesn't it? If I act out of joy, and creativity, the results of my actions result in more joy and creativity.
I solved this problem in exactly the way the The Alchemist outlined. I FELT my fear. I threw out EVERY narrative associated with the feeling of fear. I stopped thinking about what caused the fear, or what I could do to make it go away, and what all that meant about me. I simply batted away all thoughts about it, and sat down, and spent as much time as needed to experience the fear. I only looked at the sensation of fear in my body that was triggered by some circumstance, without caring what the circumstance were. I asked myself, where did I feel the fear, what was the sensation in my body that I labeled as fear? How big was it, what color (if any) was it, what was its shape, density, etc.? In other words, I let the fear speak to me. Fear wanted to make itself known, so I tasked myself with knowing it completely, which boiled down to simply experiencing it, for however long it took.
What I found was that all negative feelings have a life span. They arise, expand, contract, and (if I take long enough to observe it) they dissolve and DISAPPEAR completely. What I also realized is that if I decide on some course of action to alleviate the fear, instead of simply observing the whole cycle, I mistakenly believe that it was the choice of action I projected into the future that made the fear go away. This was a mistake. The fear was mearly following ther progression of all feelings: arising, expanding, contracting, dissolving, ONLY, I mistook the dissolving part as resulting from my future concocted plan. I missed consciously observing the natureal dissolution on its own.
However, miraculously, when I simply noticed the unpleasant fear, and then sat with it, not wanting it to go away, but simply letting it communicate itself to me throughout its complete cycle, and doing so in an inviting and loving manner, I was able to consciously observe the dissolution of the feeling-the feeling went away, NEVER to return as a result of the same trigger.
Therefore, I "rinse and repeat" with every unpleasant feeling that arrises in the course of my life. I view triggers now as friends on the path that alert me to some energetic obstruction in my being that I have not yet given enough conscious attention to. My actions in this world are no longer controlled by what I fear.
The extra gift of this methodology is this: Fear is obstucted (constricted, denied) energy. When conscious attention disolves the obstuction, the energy that was embedded in it is now released in its purifed form, and I can now USE that freed joyous, relieved energy to create a path forward that leads to more expansion and joy.
I found that ALL of my 'problems" exist in narrative ONLY. Without the story about my problems in my head, my problems cease to exist, and I am able to live in the now, fully responsive to what is going on in the moment, and my life has never been happier and more at ease. Good luck to you, and remember, it's impodssible to make a mistake. We can only find out how much we bother ourselves.

Most if not all fear comes from a fear of lack: lack of food, lack of money, lack of people who desire us, lack of safety, etc. If we know there is an abundance of everything in an infinite universe, and that each one can create anything for themselves as conscious co-Creator, then fear is an illusion. It is not a concept that is too advanced for anyone. The Universe's mirror mechanism will externally mirror anyone's internal fears, including that of the collective. Being conscious enough to observe and perceive what the Universe is showing us is where each should focus their efforts.

So in essence give fear the validation it needs so that's next time it shows up its shows up on a different harmonic. 😊

I’ve often taken the direct approach with fear. When I identify it, I look in the eyes. I don’t look away until I understand it. That’s how I over came a fear of deserts. A fear of snakes, spiders, of stranger… etc. fear of concepts I didn’t yet understand. Right in the eye holes I tell ya. Still, there are new layers of fear I am finding. Trying the same approach, but it becomes some much more complicated to understand. Yet, I try. I do a lot of work in my dreams. That seems to be a good place for me to unlock, unpack and review.

    Great video.
I think of the capacity to hold fear within a room or sphere. It needs to be trained to get bigger and then it withstands bigger amounts of fear.

As I lost control of the car on black ice at 80 mph aiming at the 2 mile deep cliff across the other lane, a 53 footer appeared full blast, in that 71° highway curve.
I instantly allowed fear to be, and to arise ... thus validating its exhaltation. Then fear esoterically asked me if I hated Love, and I quickly responded : No .... I am just not afraid of fear, nothing more really ....
Meanwhile a bunch of reptiles were fearlessly pan handling, tail hung on the overpass.

My Star Trek shirt which I happen to be wearing as I watched this video says, "RISK IS OUR BUSINESS", which is why the ship is called 'Enterprise'. Exploration is expensive and dangerous, but the payoffs are commensurate. High risk but also high reward. The more wildly different cultures we explore, the more we know ourselves. Exploring outer space is a metaphor for exploring inner space, me thinks. The black emptiness of space and all that. Hell yeah it's scary as shit. To know the unknown. It's so alien at first. To make friends with the Klingons you have to take on the persona of a Klingon.

You are right! My question is, what of the people that are not afraid and cause so much pain to people like Chad Daybell where he shows no fear and proceeded confidently showing no fear and no remorse? I appreciate you!

I love this video, Sarah. Thank you for covering such an important topic. Something that has helped me develop intimacy with fear is naming it, like literally giving it a name and an image, as if it were a character in a story. This allows me to humanize my fear; once something is humanized, it is impossible to let it have power over you. The goal is not to become paralyzed by fear but to notice it when it shows up and watch it as it goes by. This is a challenging thing to do on the spiritual journey, but an essential part of the process. I would love to hear more from you on this topic!
