Hi Jim good to see you branch out to other forms of e mobility hopefully the first of many so many reviewers push the electric advantage without the downside great to see an honest review 👏👏
You made that bike look like it was throttle twist on the handle bars, To make it go (Like a motor bike). In that case it would be illegal on UK roads. The have to be peddle assist only in the UK.
Portsmouth's very own Valentino Rossi 😁...I noticed your trailing right leg Jim: very number 46 😉. These ebikes will have a place if 15 minute cities and 20 minute towns get a foothold 😳. I have a Ninebot e-scooter, which is fun to run around on...just one snag (ignoring them being illegal) is that you're not meant to use them in the rain 😝!!
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru Bournemouth?! Haha...I stand corrected 🤣...I thought you just lived in the posh bit 🤗 No victims on this one... but it's predecessor was a Xio-mi or something, and it had to be recalled because somebody hadn't been bolting them together properly, and they were even more dangerous than these things normally are 😳😄
20kg+ for a folder with tiny wheels? No thanks. I love ebikes, but IMO they make little sense in a folder - who is going to want to lug this up the stairs to their first or second floor flat? Either go for an unassisted Brompton at 11-12kg for last mile transport if you need it to pack down, or a big wheel hybrid ebike that will ride way better and can be significantly lighter if you don't need to fold it. My wife's big wheeled Hybrid ebike from Ribble is ~13kg.; yes it's more money, but it's also way way more bike, and uses components that can actually be maintained and replaced.
Erm….more money and way more bike…yeah i should hope so if you pay more….the attraction here is the price for those perhaps who cant afford more and/or want to dip a toe into the e-bike market….no they may not want to ‘’lug it upstairs’’ but might want to ‘’lug’’ it into their car boot…folds down nicely …..great that there is choice out there and at this price point and portability i see interest …just offering a different and i think valid opinion:)

Id love to do a few more of these, great laugh.
agree 100%
Hi, thanks for the video, can the battery be replaced after its lifetime ends ?
Not that I know of

Like a cop in an 80’s movie, I don’t play by the rules. You can do peddle assist.
Disconnect the throttle. Makes it legal. The wire unplugs from the control box
Do you have to twist the handle
Yes
Great video Jim!

It’s Bournemouth not Pompey! Good lord.
Have you collected many victims on the scooter yet?
