I don't usually review watches this old, but NOT ONLY has this watch stood the test of time, but you can STILL find this Tag Heuer Formula 1 to this day on some sites as "new old stock," which means you technically CAN still buy a "new" one. SEE WHY you might want to look into one of these..

Lol, I have the exact same watch. I bought mine new at navy exchange back in 2006. Still going strong
Nice! Yeah clearly it's a solid watch.
Ha! Me too.
Got it as a promotion gift to myself. First nice watch.
It’s at TH now getting a full restoration.
I've got watch and thinking about taking it to tag to get a restoration , how did it go ??
@@michaelescobar3134 bro, that’s actually very cool 👌🏾
I have the same watch, except white face and black accents. Beautiful.
Worked well for like 10 years but I have the exact same problem - rubber is worn off. In addition, my quartz movement is shot. I sent it to Tag for repair a couple of years ago. Movement needs to be replaced - $200. The rubber cannot be fixed, requires new case $300+. Didn’t do the repairs.
I missed the watch so recently sent it to a 3rd party repair company RepairTJC. They are just going to replace the movement for around the same $200. I’ll live with the crappy rubber being I love the looks and the comfort of this watch and bracelet a ton.
Very cool that it has lasted that long and it is still available. I've always liked Tag Heuer stuff.
Definitely. That proves some real character.
Omg been watching this guys cigar reviews now I find out he does watches 🤯
I've been telling everyone that I have a watch review channel and a coffee review channel for years now, but nobody listens to me on ANY of my channels, which is why this channel is a surprise to people lol
@@ShouldITimeThis you have a cigar review channel?
I have this watch as my beater watch the rubber accents on the case are lousy, it runs great and is rugged AF
I bought this exact watch at an estate sale for 80 bucks
Interesting video regarding
Can the rubber on the sides of the dial be repaired?
Interesting video recordings
Why my tag heuer stop at 50 minutes if i reset chronograph?
Great review!
Thanks Paul! And thanks again for sending it in. Cool piece.
🔥
Ouch. $1200 for a watch... But holding that kind of value after all these years says a lot.
Formula 1 branding = big $$$
$1200 actually isn't even the "high side" of watch pricing. Most high-end watches from the larger brands these days are 5-figures.
@@donfrancisco2988 It's not the Formula 1 branding. It's Tag Heuer. They're one of the top names in watches so their pieces ALL fetch high numbers - in fact, this is one of the cheapest Tag Heuer models on the market.
My first watch was a Tag heuer 4000, I really love the look of that watch and that era's watch design
Try gripoing and turning the bezel in a different way. the Omega seamaster bezel had lots of crotocism until people learned you're supposed to grip the bezel from above instead of from the sides, and you can turn it very easily wearing scuba gloves or wet hands
So let me get this straight: your ignorant opinion here is that I LITERALLY just don't know how to turn the bezel on a watch. Got it.
