100%! Men are allowed to feel and are allowed to be depressed after birth BUT you do NOT GIVE YOUR POSTPARTUM WIFE THE SILENT TREATMENT BECAUSE OF THAT.
What he could’ve done was freaking communicated. “Hey, I’m just feeling a little weird after the birth so I’m sorry I seem off. I’m not mad with you and I’m here for you and we’ll get through this together.” That would’ve been better. Silent treatment is emotionally abusive, idc what anyone says.

Part of me thinks they do this kinda stuff as rage bait. They know whatever new scandal they’re in will get them attention, even if it’s negative.
I stopped watching shortly after she gave birth. I didn’t really vibe with how Matt was treating her, but she also was perpetuating some harmful expectations for postpartum women (not letting her body recover and stuff). It may have worked for her, but putting that out there and promoting that kind of stuff can make women feel awful if they don’t get back down to size right away, if they can’t run a 5k, etc. I wish she had used her platform a bit differently. Now, after seeing a lot of what they’ve put out, it makes me glad I stopped watching. They have some takes I definitely don’t agree with now and they’ve associated with some questionable people.

I mean yes I understand where you are coming from but there does have to be some stuff accountability with stuff like that, if you aren't secure enough with yourself to not break down when you see someone else looking better than you or doing more than you then you probably shouldn't be on social media and that's a sign to you that you need to take time to work on the way you perceive and feel about yourself. Or if you aren't in a place mentally/emotionally to realize that your life doesn't need to look like other peoples lives and maybe even shouldn't then you also probably shouldn't be on social media.

I've had 2 c sections and both times I didn't want one, both times were scary, both made me feel like not a "real woman". Like screw Matt
@ImmortalBeloved101 don't ever feel like you aren't a real woman because you had c-sections. It's a major, major surgery that is so scary. Recovery from it is hard as well, don't think less of yourself. You did it twice that's amazing! Hoping you had better support than what Matt gave his wife.

I’m not a psychologist but, these two stopped growing when they met. They are not growing up together. They are growing up apart but still acting like they were when they met, what I mean is their dynamics never changed from when they began their relationship. I've been with my husband since we were 13 and you legitimately need counseling to be able to healthily grow together, without enmeshment, and with the intention to continue to move forward and have a dynamic relationship. It's not easy, it takes a lot of work, and they are not doing it.

Matt and I (unfortunately) share a birthday, June 18th. My dad told me one year when the fathers day was on my birthday 'I cant celebrate my day without yours', meaning YOU CANNOT BE A FATHER WITHOUT THE CHILDEN! Maybe I have a different perspective being a woman, but seriously bro
I mean I get it in the sense my birthday is close to Christmas, and a lot of the time growing up people would celebrate just Christmas or give me a gift and say it's for both.
HOWEVER, I think its significantly harder to do that with a minor holiday like father's day. I don't know what people typically do for father's day, but generally for my family it's a nice dinner and some quality time. Even of he didn't want to do both on the same day, do one on the Saturday and the other on the Sunday & you get a weekend of being celebrated.
As an adult. Hell yes. 2-for-1 holiday. You dont have to have people over twice. You dont have to buy snacks twice. Like is he 5?

I do feel for Abby a bit because she’s said she rly doesn’t like the social media but basically Matt keeps pushing for it. She’s the one who decided not to have the kids in the content anymore which I’ll always give her props for. I wonder if her being with only him just has her so used to his behavior, lack of emotional & parental support even though HE DOESNT WORK that it’s become her normal even though we see it & are in shock.
Now the cruise ship thing is just wild, you’re rich bring a nanny. Otherwise you have two SUPER young kids, you’re at a stage where you have to expect fam vacays to be chaotic & not a romantic getaway. She RLY posted the initial post like it was a cruise ship parenting hack!!! Wild.
The other thing about the cruise ship is even if the kids club reservations werent available then, the ship has babysitters you can hire to STAY IN THE ROOM with them.
I don't think them FaceTimeing the baby monitors is proof of anything. I watch my siblings' kids all the time & they still check the monitors themselves throughout dinner or whatever else they're doing (many monitors connect to phone apps).
I do still think the way they presented the situation very much implies the kids were alone. The entire point of the post was to explain how they handled dinner with 2 young kids - if family members were in the room with them, they would have said so in the first post.
Men don’t get PPD. Please don’t say that. Do they get stressed and worried and sad? Yes. But that is NOT what PPD is.

The term post partum depression shouldn’t be used for men, unless they have given birth ofc. Yes, you can definetly have an emotional crisis or depresive period due to the nee addition to the family, but it’s not the same as how giving birth messes with your hormons.

So postpartum depression is different then regular depression, its due fto the hormones dumping out of your body. Soooo men can be depressed after the baby is born but its not the same
I’ve 2 boys ( 21 & 19 ), and 3 girls (23, 17 & 12). If any of mine treated their partners like these do (Matt in particular, he’s a literal spoilt man child), I’d be ashamed, embarrassed and livid.
I’d feel I’d failed them as a parent by not giving them the life skills and emotional maturity to deal with life in general 🙄🤦♀️

Lol I have only watched upto almost 5min but me and my husband got married at 19 and had our first baby at 17 - typically stories like that don't end well but I feel so blessed to be with this man, now 27 and 26, definitely soul mates. But I am also very aware that looking back I wouldn't recommend that people have kids that young and get married that young because this is not often the reality. Interested to see how this one turns out

We got married at 19 as well and have been married for 17 years and going strong. Did things backwards but through many hardships we came out stronger than ever. Now we got teenage boys and are blessed beyond measure. Would never recommend anybody getting married so young but at times it does work. Like my beautiful grandmother used to tell us “honey, it is you and your husband against the world. Nobody else cares.” Don’t let anybody get between you and your spouse!

I think there is a fine line between talking openly about things like post-partum (to raise awareness) and marriage struggles (to share tips on navigating tough issues or even to normalize that all marriages take some work), vs over-sharing and airing allllllllllll of your life. It's like living your life vs monetizing your life.
Its very clear abby is stuck into the feelings she had when they were in highschool and hes not happy hes in a relationship with kids when he wants to be focusing on his music. Shes so enamored by him and thinks theyre so In love that she cannot see how nasty he is and how he mistreats her.

My mom's birthday every now and then falls on Father's day, and she always talks about how her mom would put a ribbon on her head to say "happy father's day" to my grandpa hahah she has never mentioned it being something she or my grandpa resented or anything like that. Neither has done my dad. Like we would just celebrate both things, her birthday and father's day. And if you are the only person who is being celebrated what does it matter? It is not like you have to celebrate your birthday and a made-up holiday for something unrelated with someone else. Like, do you want two different gifts and each to be specific to the holiday??? is giving narcissism and greedy, and is funny and makes me mad at the same time lol
My mom just told me that sometimes they wouldn't spend the day together because of my dad's job, so the next day they would go to this particular place where a lot of Mariachi's hang out so he would pay for them to play songs for her, and the photographers would try to get them to take pictures (yk the grind lol) and my parents didn't want pictures so they would joke about how they were married to other people so pictures was a strong no

When I feel not so good, I just remember there are white straight men in this world that are convinced they will make it big in music, and I feel so much better about myself.

Nobodies dreams need to stop because something happens, he is putting up excuses for not doing things so he can blame his wife, then children later. He imo is looking for his escape. Grow tf up. But, they can’t because they met in what 8th grade. In my experience, when you first date someone those dynamics stay the same unless both partners are willing to change for themselves, then for the other person. My husband and I have been thru hell and he always hugged me and told me whatever happens we will get through it. He used to be the bread winner, now I am. Change is possible. But, I strongly feel you need to be your own independent person, taking care of and paying for yourself, and knowing who you are before you marry. It’s not always going to be roses, that’s why they say in sickness and in health.

@@christalcavanaugh the only time I’ve ever been around babies at nice restaurants they’ve screeched, cried, grabbed things, and were generally horrendous to be around in a quiet setting where people are trying to enjoy their expensive meal. Maybe you can bring a baby to a place like this, but you’re a dick if you do. And to be clear, I’m not talking about Applebee’s or Olive Garden, rather an upscale dining experience.
Commenting before watching, but I really hope you mention Abby's history of lying! Usually about inconsequential things, like the main one I remember she said she had been breastfeeding for 27 months when their oldest kid was only like 22 months at the time. Girl, how? Even if they are on a monitor it will take them a good few minutes to get to the room like what if the child stops breathing or something they are too far away to actually do anything
Yes! Idk how they thought that was gonna fly under the radar. Monitors purpose are literally to monitor a child from the next room or at most in the same house … not from hundreds of meters away (and many winding corridors, people and locked doors between)
I am so exhausted with how crap pregnant women and women who've recently given birth are by both their partners and society as a whole. No one treats it as the life-threatening situation it actually is and the toll it takes. I honestly don't care what he has to say. I can't imagine the trauma/experience of giving birth and being IGNORED and then told that me that the kids I put my life in danger for and myself are a 'burden' to him because he can't sing as much.

Them being high school sweethearts and married in college makes so much sense. I feel like they (he) haven’t grown up really since then. You know how sometimes you hang out with your friends from when you were younger and you act like a kid or young adult again? I think it’s like that. He acts so much like a big kid like he never grew up

When I first started coming across their content I thought they were cute but weren’t going to last since they were so young. I came across more content, and thought to myself “idk these people, just because that kind of relationship wasn’t possible for me doesn’t mean their marriage won’t work. They’ve managed to grow together all this time.” THEN they had kids… opinion completely reverted back to they’re not going to last lol They don’t seem to be compatible as a couple, Matt lacks empathy and Abby is a people pleaser. They’re codependent and enabling of one another. This will only work if they both change or neither change, but it’s more likely that only one of them will. I would suggest they go to therapy and stop talking about their issues publicly until they’ve actually managed to resolve them.

I barely survived my PPD after my son and that's why I'm a one and done mom. If I had a partner like Matt I don't think my son would have a mom. Like with how my hormones were I thought my son's life would be exponentially better without me and I got very close to that becoming a reality. If my partner at the time ghosted me in our own home for two days after having our baby I don't know what I would've felt. Poor Abby and her Stockholm syndrome, I just hope she stays safe ❤

I don’t agree with the take that men can go through postpartum depression. Postpartum is specifically linked to the hormones from giving birth, which a man cannot do. They can absolutely have depression after a major life change, but postpartum and depression itself are not the same.
If you follow them- unfollow them. That is how we get these people's attention. These people make you crazy? Stop watching for your own mental sanity. Most of it is acting/fake any way.
even if it's true that someone else was with their kids, they should not be posting that online when people KNOW where they are. my parents raised me to never post about a trip until we got back home, i can't imagine being an iNfLuEnCeR and thinking it's okay to post about where your kids are and make it seem like they're alone

What gets me is the most modern day cruise ships have babysitting services that you can pay for so that Mom and Dad can go to dinner and the kids are entertained. Over a certain age is included like kids clubs. But toddlers they have a nursery.

When my birthday is on Father’s Day, my dad and I just fake beef with each other about who should really be celebrated. I was a server the last time Father’s Day and my b-day was the same day, and i definitely carried that beef to some of the random fathers in the restaurant. Went well, the wives enjoyed, made great tips😂

One of my friends has the same birthday as his daughter and it sometimes falls on father's day... guess what his family does? Celebrates the honor of having a little baby tobe able to call himself a father. It's the little girls day. They both get a cake for dinner. And if it's fathers day they just have a family cookout and it's a triple party. He doesn't whine about the attention not being on him
