Thank you for taking time and making this video available for us. It helped a lot as our project requires the same thing and after lots of struggle we able to understand the correct procedure. Thank you once again
Transparency masks are based on grayscale values, pretty much like alpha channels or layer masks in Photoshop. Black is 100% transparent (totally hidden), grey is 50% transparent, and white is 100% opaque (not transparent at all). So if your masking object is yellow, it’s essentially the same as light grey which will end making the object underneath something like 75% transparent or so.
I worked for 12 hours trying to do an intricate design and punch it through a black background. You showed me in 10 minutes!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
Hi! Thank you for your video. When i follow your steps transparancy and then put the clip off, it cuts the shape out perfectly. However, it leaves small coloured lines. How can I change this?
Anyone having succes using these techniques in InDesign version 17.2? Using Ctrl+7 brings up a different window and I do not see the option "Object > Clipping Mask > Make" Also I can not find the "Transparency" window that lets you use the "Make Mask" button
You have a gift for making the complicated seem easy. Thank you for taking time to show this to us!
Yes ! Saved my life! 🥲😉😉
Been looking for a non-destructive way to cut through shapes in Illustrator. THANK YOU for the quick and CLEAR video on how to do this.
Thank you very much. This has helped me solve a problem with which I've struggled for several good hours.
Oh my god, thank you! That registration black tip is what I didn't know I needed. I was tearing my hair out!
I usually use clipping masks. This time it was simpler to draw a shape of what I wanted to remove. This helped. Thanks!
