Fun facts - the Marshawn Lynch touchdown at 2:00 had a crowd reaction so intense it registered as an earthquake on a nearby seismograph, lending it the nickname "Beast Quake". The 2010 Seattle Seahawks were also the first team to reach the NFL playoffs with a losing record, winning the NFC West with a 7-9 record. The Seahawks won the game, but lost in the next round to the Chicago Bears. P.S. Can you react to "MLB Inside The Park Home Runs Compilation" by Made the Cut or "MLB Players Stealing Home!" by MLB?
Part feels that’d had to have been just a coincidence and they’re was just an actual tiny lil earthquake at that moment, just because it’s seems like such an unbelievable feat. Lol But that’s just part of me, I think i mostly believe it
Seahawk fan here too. Yes that was truly the start of something great. As a hitting them while their down moment the Saints plane broke down and they couldn't leave Seattle.
Walter Payton literally did it all at running back. Tremendous runner, power, agility speed. BUT he also blocked like a fullback, caught like a wide receiver (holds the record for most catches by a player other than a receiver) and threw 8 touchdown passes (the most for a non quarterback). The best "running" back was Jim Brown, Emmitt Smith, Gayle Sayers and Barry Sanders round out the top 5.
This shoulda coulda been all Barry Sanders highlights And to answer ur question ❓ Barry is the best I've watched in my lifetime I'm still a die-hard Lion's fan today
There were two BeastQuake runs that were super dominent and they showed both, but the second one was legendary. Registered as an earthquake when the fans went crazy! I have been a Seahawks fan for over 25 years & it was a privilege too watch & root for Marshawn Lynch!
There's a very good reason Lynch often gets called "Beastmode" hahaha I might be slightly biased as a Detroit girl, but I feel like Barry is one of the (if not THE) GOAT. :)
What makes the Tony Dorsett 99 yards touchdown even greater is the fact that Dallas had only 10 players on the field...Ron Springs went out of the game thinking that the play that was called was not the play that included him...10 against 11 and Dorsett still had one of the longest runs in NFL history...Not bad....His career wasn't`t bad either...My top 3 backs will always be in this order...1st-Walter Payton, 2nd-Jim Brown and 3rd-Barry Sanders
Can't wait for the NFL Season to Kick off Sept 11th. Kabir if you can make it to the game in London October 10th and Watch my favorite Team the Denver Broncos playing the Jacksonville Jaguars. I know you will enjoy it. Peace and Love from Phoenix Arizona, and BTW I love the Arizona Cardinals here where I live.
that's the reason (his sheer power) why Marshawn Lynch is know as "beast mode". My personal favorite is Emmitt Smith, followed closely by Barry Sanders and Walter Payton.
Lots of great runs and they could have easily doubled the length of the video on not lost any quality. Love watching stuff like this and happy they included Okoye. I wish these videos included more runs from non-legends.
My wife was born and raised in Vietnam and knows soccer, but she got interested in football when I explained it to her. Ask her if she knows any players and she will tell you she knows one, Barry (Sanders).
The Marshawn Lynch vs the Saints one always gets overblown because the defense needed a turnover to have any chance of winning so they were all trying to strip the ball loose instead of focusing on tackling him.
Top 3- Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, Adrian Peterson. Just from a strictly running back standpoint. Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton and a couple others like Marshall Faulk and Eric Dickerson are at that same table so no disrespect. It's a very small group
Top 3 RBs to watch: Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones Drew, and James Robinson. #4 would be Travis Etienne. Just because I wanted to give 2 current RBs. That’s not saying they are the best ever or in their time in the league, but being a jags fan I gotta be a bit biased. As an NFL fan, my 5 favorite RBs from other teams would be Marshon Lynch, Jerome “The Bus” Bettie, LaDanian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders, Frank Gore. One of my favorite RBs in the league right now is Johnathan Taylor of the Colts.
Good stuff as always Kabir. Really appreciate the regard you have for the greatest sport on the planet and your intelligent comments. I always find the choices of these things to be fascinating. They are usually skewed heavily in favor of recent players and plays. They added a couple good ones at the end, but I can think of a bunch of examples a lot better than some of these. To not have much from Walter Payton and Jim Brown and nothing from Gale Sayers and players like that is criminal. Those Marshawn Lynch runs seem to make it on these lists all the time - and rightfully so - but I think there are a whole bunch of non-American folks running around out there thinking he was the greatest of all time. The truth is that Lynch was just a very good NFL back. Not even close really to Hall of Fame status. As for the top 3 RBs, it’s quite easy for me (and I judge it by all around ability not just running - I include, running, power, speed, agility, balance, blocking ability, receiving ability - all of it in 1 back). 1. Walter Payton 2. Jim Brown 3. Barry Sanders
It's impossible to do merely a top 3. Top 10 probably. Here's mine: Bronco Nagurski, Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, Marcus Allen, Eric Dickerson, Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders & Marshawn Lynch. If Derrick Henry stays healthy he could bump Sayers out of my top 10. OJ Simpson should be here but I'm leaving him out for obvious reasons.
Really, I think it's very much impossible to pick the best running backs of all time. Because you can view it as the best careers or the most talented at the position. I can think of 3 guys that aren't at the top of most people's lists, because they had short careers, and their stats aren't comparable to guys that had long careers. Earl Campbell, Gayle Sayers and Barry Sanders were amazingly talented. Emmett Smith and Walter Payton had good, long careers. I've been watching NFL since 1975, and I think Earl Campbell is the greatest running back I've ever seen. But, it's very hard to choose, with guys like Payton, Sanders, and Eric Dickerson in the running too.
Statistically speaking Jim Brown is the best ball carrier of all time (he was actually listed as a fullback). The greatest I ever saw with my own eyes is Barry Sanders. Bo Jackson would be in the conversation if his career wasn't ended so early with the hip injury. But as an Alabama fan, Bo is the enemy so even if he was the goat I wouldn't admit it.
To me, it’s Barry, Jim Brown, then Emmitt. Bo may have been as good, but we never really saw what he could have been if his career hadn’t been cut short by the hip injury. But for Barry, you have to also factor in his offensive line, which was never very good. Emmitt had some of the best offensive lines in football. If Barry were running behind them, he could easily have had multiple 2000 yard seasons.
Sanders retired too early, but was the yard leader if he continued. Sanders, who probably would have broken Walter Payton’s all-time rushing record of 16,726 rushing records in the next season.
Christian Okoye was the Nigerian Nightmare, you should check him out. Also, I don't know why Walter Payton's run against the Chiefs isn't shown. You should check him out as well.
Barry Sanders was thee best running backs that ever played for a losing team. The Lions should have been able to get to the Super Bowl while Barry was playing for them. But they just couldn't even get through one playoff with a win. Barry should have had a Super Bowl ring at least once. Sad, very 😥😔
Emmitt Smith has the most rushing yards. But if doctors hadn’t lied about his injuries, Fred Taylor would have easily been top 5. He was 6’1”, 228 lbs, and ran a 4.28 40 yard dash time.
I'll probably get push back on this but Barry Sanders is in the top five of running backs. Not really sure who the best overall is but I'm putting my hat in the ring for Jim Brown.
I love running backs ,they are what football is all about . Unfortunately the owners have made so many rule changes that favor passers and wide receivers in order to please the know nothing fans who think that a guy running alone down the field and catching a 50 yard pass is exciting that the game is about 90% boring passing to wide receivers who tend to be the biggest head cases and egomaniacs in the game .
it is a debate on whos one and whos two. barry sanders or walter payton. you can argue for both and you would be right on both. who is number one for you is your choice but both can be number one.
I think Jim Brown and Barry Sanders are the two best, of players who played for a normal career length. I think Gale Sayers and Bo Jackson would have been greater than them except their careers were cut short.
Barry Sanders was definitely the best RB ever, but I think Bo Jackson might be the greatest athlete that's ever lived. He could do just about anything. Shame injury took that away.
Sanders is a top-class guy too; does a bunch of charity work nowadays in his retirement, and even while he was playing allegedly gave 10% of every paycheck to charity too. However, early in his career he insisted that the charities he was giving money to not publicize the gifts, because he didn't want to make a big deal of it. Good dude.
@@adamkoslin9302 That all tracks. One of the things I like most about him is he never tried to embarrass the other team. One of the great coaches, I think it was, said something like, "act like you've been here before." And he did, he'd score a TD, give the ball to a ref, and get off the field. The way he carried himself as an athlete is special. It's also the same reason I like Curtis Martin, who's probably the most underrated RB of all time.
You just saw a run by Earl Campbell of the Houston Oilers! Again please do a reaction to him! I know you really like Marshawn Lynch but Marshawn Lynch doesn’t have anything on Earl Campbell!
You know it’s funny how today’s generation seems to think that their generation is the best of everything. Need to check out some older tapes of players from back in the day!

Walter Payton
Jim Brown

Yes. Barry Sanders is the GOAT.
Period.
No one could ever do what he did, especially playing for the Lions.
I really enjoy your channel but if you want to know who the best of all time was? One word "sweetness" Walter Payton
Some consider the 1985 Chicago Bears to be the greatest team ever, and they had one star on offense. Walter Payton.
Bo Jackson ran into that tunnel like Forrest Gump.
