The confusion, for new drivers, is that the front of the car goes in the opposite direction to your steering. It takes a while to get used to, even though it's common sense.
this was so helpful! it addressed about the problems that i struggle with the most when reversing (e.g., playing with the wheel too much, getting confused on which direction to turn the wheel, straightening the tires) and now i have a slightly better understanding of how to fix these habits so thank you!

Try it on some clear parking spot. Bring cones with you, or even backpacks. Practice with these. Then when you start getting questions, then try finding answers from masters like Conduite Facile . Having about 150 hours in a simulator, I starting getting hang of it. Hope you will need less than that! Good luck!

For instance, I use the back window and the side mirrors in exactly the same way when going into a parking spot, but I could never have explained it that well. Thank you!

My biggest issue is reversing into crowded or between parking lanes.... just like you said I use both hands lose the point as to where my wheels are turned to !!! and then have a really hard time parking it .... I tried it again today after watching your video, and parked it better then I have in a long time! I realized that I was using two hands instead of one to turn the wheel and wasn't turning my wheel enough times to get my back wheels straight. Thanks so much for the tips!

Using the flash while backing up is something that I used to do spontaneously and I thought it was stupid, since d'oh anyone can see where I am going. You are the first one telling me this is the correct way!
