Brian Clark mine was awesome and I miss it. It was a true powerhouse for it's day. Mine was dead reliable too, granted it only had about 65,000 miles on it when I traded it in but I never had one since issue out of it and I drove that truck hard.
Brian Clark I got rid of that years ago. I traded it for the four door Jeep Rubicon in my other videos. When I moved up here to Pennsylvania (where this video was shot) I started getting into trail riding and rock crawling and the titan just couldn't do that because off the size of it. Once the Jeep was paid off it became my weekend toy rock crawler and right now my daily driver is a 2017 F150 Lariat crew cab with the 3.5 ecoboost and ten speed auto. Very nice truck that hauls serious ass and is super comfortable. There's part of me that still misses that titan though. The titan was just a raw brute, almost like an old muscle car.
@@cfltitan right on. I've been looking at the f series trucks. Seem pretty nice, but I had an old 89 f250 20 years ago and it nicked and dimmed the crap out of me, so I've been skeptical about ford since. Thank you for getting back to me
Brian Clark no problem at all. The newer Ford's are VERY nice trucks. Lots of ignorance about the ecoboost motors out there too. The first generation 3.5 did have some issues with timing chains and cam phasers but it was mostly caused by neglect. They need full synthetic pull and a good filter and need it changed every 5k miles. They don't like long oil change intervals or cheaper oil. There's a LOT of them out there running great (It's been Ford's main truck motor for 9 years now) with 150-200k miles on them. They fixed the problems with the second generation which started in 2017 plus you got the amazing ten speed automatic that year too. If you don't need ridiculous power or tow rating I HIGHLY digest looking at the 2.7 ecoboost. They are still VERY quick and can tow 8k lbs but the 2.7 is a completely different motor. It shares basically nothing with the 3.5 other than it's twin turbo and called an ecoboost (every turbo motor Ford sells is called the ecoboost though which is kind of stupid). It uses a compacted graphite block like diesel motors use plus a bunch of other REALLY cool stuff too long to get into here. Long story short they make phenomenal power and are extremely telltale motors. If you search for problems with the 2.7 ecoboost you'll find VERY few things. Plus they also get the amazing ten speed auto and they generally get pretty crazy fuel economy numbers. Most guys I know get high teens even around town and can get 23-25 mpg on the highway. And that's crew cab 4wd trucks, not regular cab 2wd!
@rekjavicxxx Thank you man! I was just getting ready to send these to you so you could watch them and tell me what you though. So how did I do for my first time putting together a bunch of short clips and photos to make a long video? I never even realized my computer had the windows movie maker on it! LOL.
@cfltitan Oh yeah man, real good! It's a lot of work, isn't it?? I don't think most folks realize how complicated it is to put something like that together!
@rekjavicxxx Yeah it takes quite awhile to put even a short video like mine together. It's crazy all the things you can do though! I was so excited because before I had always just posted a whole bunch of plain little videos that were a few seconds long or maybe a minute or so for a long one, now I can combine them into one cool video and even add some cool pictures in it.
That's what I thought well u got a good looking titan I've been thinkin about gettin one but I've heard they have problems with there rear diffs have u ever ran the 1/4 mile with the 35's?
Thank you for the compliments. I traded the titan in a couple years ago on a 4 door jeep rubicon because I got into rock crawling and a big truck just isn't the thing for it. As far as the rear ends go in the titans they had some issues up until 08. In 08 they upgraded the rear and made it MUCH stronger. No I never dragged it with the 35's but it was still a quick truck. I drag raced it a bunch on stock tires and it ran high 14's with just a programmer and exhaust. I raced redlight to redlight a bunch with the 35's though.
@2010svtraptor We usually have a titan meet about once a year but I plan on going back more often since I only live an hour away. It is an absolute dreamland for anybody who likes to offroad!! 3,000+ acres of insane trails!
With a first gen tundra I don't think you can fit 35's with just a leveling kit. I'd check some tundra forums to be sure though. I know on the titans and the 08 and newer tundras you can fit 35's with a leveling kit and a little trimming inside the fender. On my titan I did the leveling kit, cut back the pinch weld in the fender and heated and reformed the plastic fender liner and had no rubbing at all.
What info are you looking for? Almost anything you could want to ask can be found in their website rc4x4.org or on their forum(there's a link to the forum on their website). It's a great park with friendly people and a trail for almost any 4x4 from stock to wild.
When i was kid we rolled up our pants and walked to the bus stop! I have an 08 titan love it! Full size 8 ft bed
That was a great truck for sure. I haven’t had it in many years but still love it.
I think some will disagree with me, but I think Nissan makes damn good trucks!!!

I really need to plan a trip to this place. Awesome video, how often do you go out there?

@mblrw2 Thanks again. This is definitely my favorite one. I spent a good chunk of time putting this one together.
@eduardo Gamboa, Yes that was ice. It was freezing cold that morning and we were the first ones out on the trail so we got to break the ice.
I want to go with my pro4x could someone give me some info. thanks

I'm not 100% sure but I think he's running a dynomax bullet muffler.
@cfltitan Yeah man, definitely increases the appeal! Kills ya on time though....haha
To much shaking the camera :(
@rekjavicxxx Yeah but the end product is so worth it. I am soooo much happier with this video than any of the others I've ever done!
I'll take my truck in mud anyway. but there's no way I am driving it through deep water. you will be replacing wheel bearing soon
Timothy McGinnis yeah I might be if I didn't get rid of the truck 6 years ago. Lol
