I have looked at this one, the Ryobi and the Bosche. Your excellent review has firmly settled the matter. I shall buy one, especially since it is under £90 and comes with two batteries. Thank you very much, and peace be with you too😣
🔋 That battery strummer is impressive! I really enjoy using my cordless hedge trimmer - I hated the power cord on my last one - but there’s no way it’d do as good a job as yours shown here. That thick branch it nipped through and the smooth finish to produced. Nice. But condensing a three day job into one day is truly remarkable.
I’ve got to do my hedges. I’ve left them 2 years and they are taking over. Really hard to to with a frozen shoulder though. It’s the one job in the garden I absolutely dread.
Not too bad thanks, it’s usually ok until I do something with it that’s hard work or above my head, like the hedges. In any case I’m still not over covid either. Falling to bits mate lol
We' ve had ours for four years, but it decided not to work this Spring (2024). I originally thought it was the battery, but after charging it for longer than usual even though the green 'charged' light was on, it still didn't work. So, what I decided to do was take off the large orange cover that didn't actually reveal that much, but the top of the motor was visible whereby I was able to touch it and feel warmth. It told me that the battery was fine and power was coming from it, so I was happy that I didn't place an order for a replacement last night I then summised that the motor wasn't transferring power to the gears - yes, I went further the following day and took the entire machine apart - but, I was unable to detatch the motor because it was designed to 'snap into place' and not come off. Had they used nuts and bolts, then they would have come undone from the vibrations whilst using the machine. I tried to figure out how I could take the motor off because it either needed replacing or cleaning, but I couldn't. I wasn't successful - this time - hence why I am on here looking for anyone who knows how to take the motor off without damaging the casing it is attached to. It's been a great machine that has been cutting a very tall and long hedge not dissimilar to the one in this video. It's worth leaving a comment in case I can find an answer which will save me having for fork out £92 for a new one. Thanks :)
Hi Mothin, interesting observations, thank you. I too have a rechargeable hedge trimmer, it's a GTech. It's a bit of a sadness to me that, like yours, it doesn't have the interchangeable heads, but I do love it dearly - it's very well-balanced, sharp and feisty, and, again like yours, has the extending reach, very handy. I have come to appreciate the finite battery life from a charge - it stops me going at it like a crazy person and messing up my rotator cuff injury again, because *I* have to stop and recharge too when the battery does!
Thanks, good review :) I'm buying one now! I have an electric one (very old) and the head just snapped off with the blades still running, thankfully it hung by the cable and never made it to my head ;)
hi i have just seen your video on this make of hedge trimmer i have found one on facebook and was deciding whether too buy or not, but from you review i think its going too be worth it for £80
Good review Mothin. I have been using battery powered tools for a few years and when I need to replace any of my petrol powered tools I will get battery powered ones. Blessings to you and your family. Best wishes Bob.
Nice job. I've been looking at saving for a ryobi one+ chainsaw because they have so many different tools that go with the one+ battery. So far, I've been very impressed with the electric tools.
@@MyFamilyGarden I watch for when the sets are on sale. I need to create a better place to store the tools, though. Do you have a video showing how you store your tools?
Brilliant vid thank you. Might be a silly question, but 1:30 how do you take the head back off for cleaning etc.? Do the locking pins push back in easily?
We have a battery powered mower and strimmer! They both work great I believe the now have a multi function strimmer, hedge trimmer, and polesaw combo which would be nice! By the ours is made be EGo. Bhai
The only thing that puts me off battery machines is the life of the battery. Probably the tech is much improved, but my last cordless drill battery only gave me about 3 years or so before it would no longer hold much of a charge.
Hello kind sir I was wondering with this hedge trimmer if they say it it cordless, by that they mean you charge it like your phone if it run out battery?
I have this trimmer. It's absolutely garbage. Supposed to be able to handle 16mm branches.... I'm doing my front hedge now which is about 25m and I should have been done an hour ago but It keeps jamming up on twigs no bigger than 6mm. The extendable doesn't stay out reached as the cheap bolt is threaded. DO NOT BUY TERRATEK
Thanks for watching, don't forget to hit the like and subscribe for regular updates

Thank you. My trimmer would not work, having watched your video It is now back in action. What a relief. Thanks again
Amazing Video , top man , such a good view with brilliant demonstration
Glad you enjoyed it

The weight on the petrol trimmer was too much to do it all in one go so this has made a big difference
Couldn't work out why mine wouldn't start, thought I'd burnt out the motor. Thanks for the really helpful explanation! 👍
That was satisfying to watch 😁👏🏻
Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for this really useful demo. I've just bought one of these and watching your video before use was invaluable
Nice job. I'm slowly becoming a big fan of these battery-powered tools. My 50cc petrol multi-tool is just too heavy, after 10 minutes.

Sorry to hear that, how bad is the shoulder?

Great review, thanks for clarifying a few things. Let you know how I get on with mine. Cheers Griff
Great job with those hedges 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you! Cheers!

I completely get the having to stop, i have a bad back but when i start something just feel like i have to finish

Good review is the strimmer still performing well after a year of use ?

Hi Bob, i think that's the way i'll be moving, the lightwight makes all the difference
Brilliant review mate . I'm interested in getting this. I have the Realtek strimmer , and i like it.
Great machine friend, make easy trimmer work. Very interesting.
Thanks 👍

Thanks you for information 🌱
You're very welcome
To make things easier buy an xtra battery it will save time. Most of mt tools sre battery operated and i get an xtra battery. Hope this helps.
Great video..
Thank you 🙏

That's one of the things I was worried about but after the palaver with the last petrol engine I thought now's the time to move
Nice, thank you for sharing 👌
No problem 👍
Hello kind sir I was wondering with this hedge trimmer if they say it it cordless, by that they mean you charge it like your phone if it run out battery?
Do you find your big hedges draw a lot of water out of your garden?
Not really, the soil is dry around the base but i've always managed to grow crops within a metre of the hedge
Big trees are worse for that. They suck the water out the ground like a hoover

Hi mate .. does it unclip easy to get into a car for instance?
I've not actually checked that
Mine keeps jamming ,any idea why ?
spray some wd40 on the blades, or it could be the power generated by the battery
@@MyFamilyGarden thanks , I will give that a go 👍
its good to watch someone else work. lol...................brian
lol, Tell me about it
Tut tut, no safety goggles, no hard hat and soft boots - is this setting a good safety example?
