    Helping a buddy of mine get his 2021 brute force going again. Engine got flodded through air box. Drain oil put fresh oil . Removed air box and throttle body's to clean inside where we could see that valves. Removed spark plugs and turn by hand to get water out , used shop vac to suck out remaining water and spray a little engine oil. Coolant has been drained as well.Try to start but no luck no engine codes, have spark, fuel pump comes on when you turn the key on shuts off after 3or seconds. When we crank it over we do not see any fuel come out of injectors, Checked injector resistance good.

      take the fuel line off the throttle body and verify fuel coming out the line . Should see 150cc for 3 start and stops of the pump.

      I did take line off and fuel did come out when key was on. I did not measure the amount but going to today or tomorrow. Will it start up with no coolant? Are plan was to start it for a few seconds and drain the oil again.

    Hi Sire, i have a Brute Force 750 and got soms problems, it,s nice to have some well explaned info from you, i will look for a good Manual, but it,s hard to get parts what so evver here in Holland, even a clutch puller for the primary cluch gives trouble, i sure liked the video,s about the fuel pump etc and the one about the Limp mode, that was the problem in my case, i found out the the belt is dammaged, so i will check the hole thing around it. Ps ( What belt manufacture is the best ? that,s also hard to find here. I found a: Moose High-performance Plus
    , Dyco, and Highlifter Pro. In this video you speak about the failure code and that there is a way to read them out with the wires on top under the buddy. can you if you have the time make some video on that fact ? More than Thanks so far from Holland ( Netherlands) you did help me out a lot so far and it`s nice to watch your video,s pleas keep up the good work ! Also, is it ok to replace the halogen headlights with LED lights? I did that on my lawn tractor and it helped.
    Would I void a warrantee on a new Brute Force if I install a winch myself? I’m looking at a Warn unit instead of getting it factory.

    My 08 brute 750 is running hot but light not coming on, fan not coming on. Really hot behind seat under fenders. Is the temp sensor for fan on the thermostat housing? How do I properly change coolant and what do I use? What do you think of running a 10 inch car fan on a switch with a temp Guage? Bought my brute with 200 hours, no mud for 1000 bucks. It sit for a year or more. I just keep hearing people tell me they can't work on it because they don't have the proper tools for kawasaki.....getting aggravated

    • @HammerHeadGarage
      @HammerHeadGarage  3 года назад

      There is a thermostatic switch on the rad. They go bad all the time. There is also a little grey relay under the seat. The stock fan is fine, just wire up a switch to turn it on and off. Use a good 50/50 coolant that is safe for aluminum. Prestone works fine. Fill the rad to just below the filler neck. Top off the coolant bottle and run it for a while with the rad cap off to get air bubbles out of the system. You may need to do this a few times to get all the air out. Then put the cap on and run it. When it cools look to see the reservoir is not empty.

    hey i just got a 2016 brute force 750 efi i took it out a few times and noticed that the temp light turned on after about fifteen minutes of riding (it’s currently below freezing where i live and yes it does have coolant) i pulled aside and sat with my fan running for a few minutes and then was fine for about another 15 minutes when i came to a stop and it just shut off like i switched the kill switch, i started it back up and it gave a big rev up to about 4 grand then came back down to an idle. i then decided to take it home and it threw two heat lights on my way home and when i finally got home it just shut off again. both times it shut off it started right back up fine but only that one time it revved up i honestly have zero clue where to start do you have any ideas?

      Put a Lazer temp on the engine to see if it really is hot. Is there coolant coming from the weep hole on the water pump? Could just be a faulty temp sender.

    New Brute Force Info
    After unplugging the Fuel Pump relay I ran a jumper wire from the input directly to the positive battery terminal to see if the pump would run and it turned on instantly.
    Another interesting discovery was that when I hooked the battery up to a charger and combined it with the jumper wire to the battery charger positive terminal my electric headlights and push-start button was working again but the bike still won't start. It sounds like it wants to start but just simply continues to turn over.
    Also when I remove the jumper wire and put the fuel pump relay back into it's socket the bike head lights or push start button no longer work but the relay has been tested to be good and I confirmed that the pump is working too.
    I'm just trying to determine if I'm going to need a new ecm or not and more importantly if their is still a way to at least get the bike to still run regardless of the issues i'm dealing with. I'm all out of ideas that makes sense and could use a little help if anyone knows something I don't feel free to share thanks.👍😎💪

      @@HammerHeadGarage I'm hoping I can get a donor ecu first just to confirm that it works before spending the cash. I did the battery load test and it reads 12.4v without the charger and while charging it's reading 13.3v. It appears to be a good battery.
      I'm thinking now it's what you said regarding the ecu. It's throwing 3 codes that have nothing to do with the issue and it's causing the relays to malfunction clicking on and off. It seems all to lead back to the ecu somehow and boy that is one costly mistake that happened with the battery making contact with the frame of the bike if that is truly what happened.😩

      I changed the computer and it does the same thing I swapped out computers with a buddy of mine that a same year model brute and swapped out the cdi as well with his and the cvt light still comes on after I turn the key off so it's not the computer because it works fine on my buddy's bike the belt is new the cvt light issue was doing before I did the kebc delete and yeah im stumped now its doing something another funny thing now I start it it runs for about 20 seconds and turns off on its own and when I try to restart it cranks and the check engine just flashes so now I have that issue along with the cvt light issue lol idk what to do any more as I've already taken it to my dealers and they can't seem to figure it out either

      @@juanalaniz6881 If the check engine flashes then there should be some stored codes. Read the codes. Sounds electrical to me. Check all your grounds and wiggle your wires. See if you can make the machine shut off while wiggling the wires.

    Hello i got a 2005 and badly backfire from carbs. Took the carbs out and clean well still doing the same. Reset belt light and nothing. Got any ideas?

    • @HammerHeadGarage

      Do a leak-down test. You may have mechanical damage. The gauge should rear 10-12% max leakage on each cylinder. If low on one or both cylinders you need top-end work.

      @@flaviocarpalhoso Also if the engine has been apart, make sure the cams are in the right spot. The rear cam has a raised groove on the face and only goes in the back cylinder. Mixing them up will cause a backfire.

    • @HammerHeadGarage

      Do a leak down test. Also, it takes several times to clean the carbs out if there has been gas sitting in them for any length of time.

      I will try the leak down test, the carbs were taken completely apart and cleaned and the fuel system was also cleaned to include the inside of the tank.

      @@HammerHeadGarage good lord that is a lot of cleaning. Would you recommend pulling the plug on my carbs and backing the air mixture needle out and cleaning in there? I just figured the cap was on there to keep you out lol

    • @HammerHeadGarage
      @HammerHeadGarage  3 года назад

      @@paultaylor1372 I wouldn't remove that plug unless you need to fine-tune the mixtures. Where the problem is on carbs is in the air passages way inside the body. If old fuel was in them for a while they can be a bear to get clean. Ultrasonic is the best way.

    I HAVE NO ELECTRICAL POWER!!! My battery got flipped before I could detach the terminals and it hit the metal frame of the bike and I heard a noise that sounded like a short circuit distortion crash. Now the bike has no electrical power at all when I turn the ignition to on. I checked the main 30A fuse and it appeared to be good and I replaced it and still nothing. If anyone knows what this issue is please share I'd greatly appreciate it thanks.👍😎👌

      If the thing flipped over check the rollover switch. If its stuck in that position it will kill it. Give us more info.

      @J.Crooner 2 года назад

      @@HammerHeadGarage Well what I'm saying to clarify is that when I got ready to take my battery out I picked it up without detaching the terminals first and it slipped out my hands and fell front side making contact with the metal frame of the bike. When it made contact that's when I heard a short circuit type of noise. When I got ready to reinstall the battery I now have no electrical power. The actual bike wasn't flipped or anything just the battery slipped and fell over that's all bud. I can still check that switch to see if would cause this issue though for sure.😎
