There is a thermostatic switch on the rad. They go bad all the time. There is also a little grey relay under the seat. The stock fan is fine, just wire up a switch to turn it on and off. Use a good 50/50 coolant that is safe for aluminum. Prestone works fine. Fill the rad to just below the filler neck. Top off the coolant bottle and run it for a while with the rad cap off to get air bubbles out of the system. You may need to do this a few times to get all the air out. Then put the cap on and run it. When it cools look to see the reservoir is not empty.

hey i just got a 2016 brute force 750 efi i took it out a few times and noticed that the temp light turned on after about fifteen minutes of riding (it’s currently below freezing where i live and yes it does have coolant) i pulled aside and sat with my fan running for a few minutes and then was fine for about another 15 minutes when i came to a stop and it just shut off like i switched the kill switch, i started it back up and it gave a big rev up to about 4 grand then came back down to an idle. i then decided to take it home and it threw two heat lights on my way home and when i finally got home it just shut off again. both times it shut off it started right back up fine but only that one time it revved up i honestly have zero clue where to start do you have any ideas?
Put a Lazer temp on the engine to see if it really is hot. Is there coolant coming from the weep hole on the water pump? Could just be a faulty temp sender.

hey there, I have two brute 750s a 2008 and a 2015. Both were running great took em to the mountains did some slow going trail riding for about 2 1/2 hours came back to camp got some grub and decided to top em off with fuel (87grade) . Set off again for another ride about ten minutes in the 08 started bogging and back firing. I drove it slow back to camp only able to get it up to around 5-10 mph parked it at camp. I went back out with the 2015 rode it for another hour no problems got back to camp and tried going out again and it started showing the same symptoms. I figured it had to be bad fuel since BOTH of them was acting the same way. I drained the fuel put some new fuel (91 grade) in ran great for about 10 mins started bogging down again. Please help....
There are so many things it could be, Odd that both machines started acting up. What is the battery voltage at idle? anything less than 13v it is not charging. Leakdown test (google it) get a service manual. Do the fuel flow test as outlined in my backfiring fix video.
Ecu,s are not testable. When everything else checks out the manual says "Replace with known good unit". They are very expensive so make sure that is the issue.

Hey bud good evening I have a 2014 kawasaki brute force 750 and I'm having issues with it I csnt seem to nail it down my cvt light won't come off I reset it with the reset tool and as soon as I turn key off and back on the light comes back on ive taken it to the dealer but they changed the battery coils packs spark plugs rectifier ignition switch and nothing does the same thing I put in the kebc delete mod because the guys over st sgori innovations said it would fix the cvt light issue but it doesn't the belt switch isn't tripped it's on the right position and well the kebc delete should fix that issue any way but I've seen a few of your videos and I'm hoping you can shed some light to this issue
I changed the computer and it does the same thing I swapped out computers with a buddy of mine that a same year model brute and swapped out the cdi as well with his and the cvt light still comes on after I turn the key off so it's not the computer because it works fine on my buddy's bike the belt is new the cvt light issue was doing before I did the kebc delete and yeah im stumped now its doing something another funny thing now I start it it runs for about 20 seconds and turns off on its own and when I try to restart it cranks and the check engine just flashes so now I have that issue along with the cvt light issue lol idk what to do any more as I've already taken it to my dealers and they can't seem to figure it out either
@@juanalaniz6881 If the check engine flashes then there should be some stored codes. Read the codes. Sounds electrical to me. Check all your grounds and wiggle your wires. See if you can make the machine shut off while wiggling the wires.
Do a leak-down test. You may have mechanical damage. The gauge should rear 10-12% max leakage on each cylinder. If low on one or both cylinders you need top-end work.
@@flaviocarpalhoso Also if the engine has been apart, make sure the cams are in the right spot. The rear cam has a raised groove on the face and only goes in the back cylinder. Mixing them up will cause a backfire.
I have just serviced my fuel system and rebuilt my carburetors and at low throttle I am getting backfiring through the carburetors. Any idea what I may have done or need to do?
I will try the leak down test, the carbs were taken completely apart and cleaned and the fuel system was also cleaned to include the inside of the tank.

@@paultaylor1372 I wouldn't remove that plug unless you need to fine-tune the mixtures. Where the problem is on carbs is in the air passages way inside the body. If old fuel was in them for a while they can be a bear to get clean. Ultrasonic is the best way.

I HAVE NO ELECTRICAL POWER!!! My battery got flipped before I could detach the terminals and it hit the metal frame of the bike and I heard a noise that sounded like a short circuit distortion crash. Now the bike has no electrical power at all when I turn the ignition to on. I checked the main 30A fuse and it appeared to be good and I replaced it and still nothing. @@HammerHeadGarage This is my first Brute Force 750 and where is the roll over switch located bud? I'll be sure to check it this morning once the sun comes up.
@@HammerHeadGarage Well what I'm saying to clarify is that when I got ready to take my battery out I picked it up without detaching the terminals first and it slipped out my hands and fell front side making contact with the metal frame of the bike. When it made contact that's when I heard a short circuit type of noise. When I got ready to reinstall the battery I now have no electrical power. The actual bike wasn't flipped or anything just the battery slipped and fell over that's all bud. I can still check that switch to see if would cause this issue though for sure.😎

My freinds are saying fuel pump but im not 100% convinced. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas.
2018 750 340 hours
Is it charging at 14vdc at idle? any check engine lights or codes? how old is the fuel in it?
2009 750 brute force cold start seems to be running on one cylinder then warms up runs good what could it be just got machine
Could be a high leakdown on that cylinder. Do a leakdown test.
Hey man I just wondering if you would know anything about a 2014 750 will only run when cold any suggestions
And the engine light flicks when you try to start it again
Give me more info?
I need help with the 650 it won't start at all won't even click I have all lights
whats the batt volts at? Try crossing the starter solenoid with a screwdriver
@@HammerHeadGarage battery is charged
I have a 650 2006 brute and it stalls on me then i cant turn it over all the lights work and the horn works but pushing the start button doesnt do anything now and then it will turn and start but now its been a bit and i cant it to turn over even though the lights go on
Check your starter relay/solenoid. Also check your start button for corrosion. Whats your batt voltage at? should be around 12.60vdc sitting (not running) 13.5-14.5 running dcv.
hey there, I have two brute 750s a 2008 and a 2015.
@@HammerHeadGarage Thank you I will test this weekend.
Hey brother I believe my ecu on my brute 750 went out. No spark on right spark plus, very little on left one. Anyway to test the ecu with ohms meter?
Ecu,s are not testable. When everything else checks out the manual says "Replace with known good unit". They are very expensive so make sure that is the issue.
@@HammerHeadGarage yes sir, i bought it with after market clutch work, snorkel, lift, ect, ect, I’m from Houston Texas we ride thru thick clay and mud really deep and I tell you what I love the power but I fill like I spend more time working on it then riding. I’m going to use my buddy’s ecu, he has same year and see if there is any difference. I’ll keep you post on results. Thank you for the information keep up the good posting.
Also wanted to know if their is ground wire that is suppose to be connected from the negative battery terminal to the frame of the bike? If so I'm wondering if that's the reason why I have no electrical power. Any insight would help from anyone thanks.😎
Yes you need a frame bonded ground.
@@HammerHeadGarage Ok the wire for ground must of got detached from the negative battery terminal somehow without my knowledge. I'll check it to see if it resolves my issue. I surely hope so.🙏
Is it possible to have a code stored without giving a warning light?
It is possible to have stored codes yes.
@@HammerHeadGarage thank you
@@HammerHeadGarage So I just took the brute around a couple laps in the field.....after a couple I felt an instant response when the front cylinder started firing again....I gave it hell for a little while got her up to 60 no prob.....I then went to pull the trailer w the mower around back and you could instantly tell it was struggling until it died....valves? One would think if it was electrical that it would not come back and go away.....thx
Put the Kebc system back in. How old is the belt?
If that doesn't fix things and your belt switch is all good it will likely be the computer.
Thank you very much for the help I will get on it today and let you know what I find
I just bought a fuel pump and I have no fuel comming out of the pump , helllllp please
Hello i got a 2005 and badly backfire from carbs. Took the carbs out and clean well still doing the same. Reset belt light and nothing. Got any ideas?
Do a leak-down test. You may have mechanical damage. The gauge should rear 10-12% max leakage on each cylinder. If low on one or both cylinders you need top-end work.
@@HammerHeadGarage thanks for the info
@@flaviocarpalhoso Also if the engine has been apart, make sure the cams are in the right spot. The rear cam has a raised groove on the face and only goes in the back cylinder. Mixing them up will cause a backfire.
@@HammerHeadGarage thanks again. I don't think the engine was apart ever.
Just perform leak down test and is over 60% so I'm assuming my tops end need to be done
I have just serviced my fuel system and rebuilt my carburetors and at low throttle I am getting backfiring through the carburetors. Any idea what I may have done or need to do?
Do a leak down test. Also, it takes several times to clean the carbs out if there has been gas sitting in them for any length of time.
I will try the leak down test, the carbs were taken completely apart and cleaned and the fuel system was also cleaned to include the inside of the tank.
@@paultaylor1372 I have cleaned carbs 8 times in a ultrasonic bath before I got them to work.
@@HammerHeadGarage good lord that is a lot of cleaning. Would you recommend pulling the plug on my carbs and backing the air mixture needle out and cleaning in there? I just figured the cap was on there to keep you out lol
@@paultaylor1372 I wouldn't remove that plug unless you need to fine-tune the mixtures. Where the problem is on carbs is in the air passages way inside the body. If old fuel was in them for a while they can be a bear to get clean. Ultrasonic is the best way.
Mines under can get Kawasaki Motors group to send me a computer since the shop that I get it from says that that forward or I got don't need nothing it's just fine the way it is
I have a 2009 750 brute force change the battery now it’s is not let me go past 10
Past 10 what? mph? Try a belt light reset. Any codes?
I HAVE NO ELECTRICAL POWER!!! My battery got flipped before I could detach the terminals and it hit the metal frame of the bike and I heard a noise that sounded like a short circuit distortion crash. Now the bike has no electrical power at all when I turn the ignition to on. I checked the main 30A fuse and it appeared to be good and I replaced it and still nothing. If anyone knows what this issue is please share I'd greatly appreciate it thanks.👍😎👌
If the thing flipped over check the rollover switch. If its stuck in that position it will kill it. Give us more info.
I can still check that switch to see if would cause this issue though for sure.😎
no spark issue changed tilt sensor coil pump pump relay ran out of ideas 2010 brute force
Likely at that point its an ecu failure.
before i spend $600 on a ecu do u think the crankshaft position sensor is worth trying first cheers
Does somebody know why my 2010 brute force 750 does not have pulse in the inyectors
