That's how I felt touring it in person! I'm still amazed that they didn't have any building experience whatsoever! I don't think I've seen a more professional DIY van!
What a beauty inside!! Just like the 25 ft (counts front seats) motor home we use to have - except we didn't have a sofa, we had a booth for eating, and I loved that. Had a queen size bed at the rear. HAPPY TRAVELING AND CAMPING.......I miss it so much I cry.........
I’m with you on this. We have a transit high roof long wheel base and it was so important for me to have a permanent bed and dinette. It was on the third rebuild that we got rid of the big bathroom, put the shower at the back, put the toilet in a barrel like cupboard with extra counter, that we could have a permanent 1.4 m dinette. Wouldn’t change it. My husband redid the entire back and some of the kitchen during the lockdown in Melbourne last year. Now we just need to be allowed to travel 🥲
I noticed they didn't say how well that rooftop ac unit worked. A freind researched it and discovered that they are less than 7,000 but, which explains why they can run off of a car battery/ solar setup. Let me know how that works in the southern heat and humidity. I will still rely on my 3k+ watt generator for the heavier loads like a microwave, hot plate, and a/c when needed. Solar for the less power hungry loads. And shore power for everything when available. Nice build they did, however!
Thanks so much! We love our build! The AC has been working pretty well for us! Doesn’t cool the front portion of the van when it’s really hot though! We have 400 amp hours of battery and can run the AC for 8-10 hours of compressor on time. We’ve had it in temps up to 97 degrees but not in super high humidity. We do have a small generator that helps keep our batteries powered when we need to use the AC more! Feel free to stop over on our channel, we are happy to answer questions!
Thanks! We love the map so much! Yes we plan to drive to Argentina! We were hoping to start this year but May delay until next year in 2022. We really want to start the journey in Alaska and looks like that just won’t happen this year!
