    I may be one of the few non-over-hyped Bears fan. Did the Bears improve, absolutely yes. However, with 6 new players on offense (QB, 2 WR, TE, C, RB) and new OC, it will take time for that unit to gel. Also, there is no guarantee the defense picks up where they left off last year. My offical prediction for the year is 9-8 but hoping for better and it should be a fun year.

    Im actually go out on a limb in say Washington have improved alot. They hired Dan Quinn. Which even though not the best will drastically improved their defense and hired Kliff Kingsbury as their OC to help Jayden Daniels.
    Now the elephant in the room is that these guys aren't the best offensive and Defensive Minds. But they are very above average coordinators especially considering what they had last year.

      I expect their defense to be better, using that 2nd round pick to get johnny newton (I know he is a beast) for BPA reasons and then getting Sainstrill HOPEFULLY helps them move pieces around so they aren't getting burnt so much, having competent linebackers should also help (which I think is the only position they ever hit in free agency [London Fletcher last one that comes to mind].
      They left a huge hole in the O-line and built the defense, hopefully it is a competent defense, I miss having one.

  • @motivationallizard6644

    The titans hate in the comments is insane. People act like the colts are a sure fire playoff team because of Anthony Richardson when he barely played last season and immediately got injured. The jags only lost pieces (like Calvin Ridley) and Trevor hasn’t shown his “chosen one” potential yet. And the Texans had ONE good season and everyone immediately acts like they’re the best team in the AFC. I’m not saying the titans are the best but I’ll list everything they did to improve. Firstly, they fired Mike Vrabel. If your not a titans fan or just don’t follow titans news you probably think this is stupid but your dead wrong. Vrabel was a great defensive coach but his offensive mindset was archaic at best and his hiring practices for OC’s were cancerous. He only hired his friends and it resulted in the same uninspired and run heavy offensive play calling that caused our team to stall out from 2020-2024 and never go that extra mile. Levis needs a coach that can actually develop his passing game and run a modern nfl offense and that’s why we hired Brian Callahan. He helped develop Burrow and ran an incredibly effective offense in Cincy focused on passing. Speaking of passing we finally got a good secondary (or primary receiver) in Calvin Ridley who can get field separation and match Hopkins for 1000 yards a season. We also added Tyler Boyd at slot and Levis has already commented on his value since he’s already played in a Callahan offense in Cincinnati and is helping Levis adjust. Boyd is also a reliable (not great) receiver who puts up consistent numbers. That puts pressure off treylon, Westbrook, and all of our other receivers who were playing at wr2 and wr3 when they’re better placed as backups, subs, or in development like treylon who still has potential if he can stay uninjured. The offensive line has also seen massive improvements from last year when we literally had the worst line in the league (which contributed to Levis’s inconsistency). JC Latham is a solid pick with potential to be a star left tackle, skoranski was good last year and looking to step up this year, and we signed Loyd cusshenberry from the broncos (one of the best centers last year). Most importantly though we got Bill Callahan (Brian’s dad) who is both a former head coach and one of the best o line coaches period. Our offensive line has NEVER had a guy in Bills level and last year he completely transformed the browns o line into an immovable machine, and now he had young moldable talent with the titans. Levis himself also shows a lot of potential. His biggest problems are his ability to read routes and handle pocket pressure at an NFL level but titans fans have high hopes for good reason. Callahan and Levis seem to be on a good page together and Callahan has already commented on how much he likes Levis and his willingness to improve and win. Levis has the potential and mindset to be a star QB and he now has the environment to do that without serious injury concerns (if he tones back his more daring tendencies). Defensively, I’d also argue we’ve seen a massive improvement from last year. Our major losses were Denico Autry and Al Shair, however we gained A LOT more than that. Obviously we signed Sneed and Awuzie (sneed being a proven lockdown corner and Awuzie a good piece) but we also signed Kenneth murry (a bit inconsistent but good when he’s playing well) and we drafted a lot off defensive players like sweat who can develop into starters or even pro bowlers. However, most importantly we got denard Wilson as our DC. He was the ravens CB coach last year and he turned that into the best squad in the league. He’s a defensive guru and now he has one of the best corner back rooms in the league (on paper) a stacked line with Jeffery Simmons leading. This can be a top defensive unit in a division where shutting down the pass game is absolutely crucial and the titans have down EVERYTHING possible to build that unit. Sure the squad hasn’t played yet but on paper id argue that they are significantly better than both the colts and jags and possibly the Texans if things pan out. We only lost 6 of our games last year by one score and we’ve made massive improvements since. Doubt all you want were a sure fire squad at this point and playoff bound if it pans out.

      It's cool that your comments provide insights as to why the Titans would be better than people think but you only showed introspect as far as the Titans and not how the other teams within the division also improved. The offensive line will also improve with Bill Callahan as you mentioned. As long as the Titans offense is playing the Titans defense, that's great, but let's not forget there were two first year head coaches in the division whose teams will likely improve with their second year in those systems. As a Titans fan, you should remember well the impact injuries can have on a season in comparison to the depth of personnel being played as Jags lost Christian Kirk while Lawrence played injured. There will also be a learning curve for the Titans with Callahan and this new system. Overall, the division itself will be better and much more competitive than people think.

      I want to make this worse for all Bears fans. There was a 5-game streak in '23 where the entire offense was better than the rest of the season. That streak used the same plays used for the 3-week streak of being the #1 offense in '22.
      Zach wilson has never even had One Game where he wasn't inefficient. Fields led the NFL in offense with WRs Mooney & Claypool to throw to, two guys more famous for dropping passes that hit them in the hands than catching them. Has Josh Allen ever done this with Stefon Diggs or Joe Burrow with his élite WR trio? Or Tua with Hill?
      Or *Mahomes* with Hill?
      But talk about hating a guy for no reason, Bears Fans said only this of that 3-week streak: "he didn't win any of those games." Damn. I forgot how Tom Brady always played Every Position On Defense as well as caught every pass & kicked every FG.
      That's why I'm doing this. Bears fans do not deserve an élite QB. Why? Because you had one & you hated him for it.
      We know who was calling the offense the 5 weeks this season that the offense was better because it was the 5 weeks following the acquisition of Montez Sweat & the hiring of the new DC. Eberflus was too busy to what he bragged about doing, deciding what plays to limit the offense to.
      Since the plays used during that 5 weeks were the same as during the 3 weeks in '22 we know those were also Getsy. Since as Shanahan, McVay & Reid illustrate, the OC cannot override the HC & we know that ALL of Getsy's 8 games were all better than all of the ones Eberflus limited him, we have a 100% correlation between Fields' production & play-calling. & now Getsy's gone, but the guy who called the plays that halved the offensive scores remains.
      Bears fans saw all this play out & blamed Fields. But I'm gonna go one better. Take a look at Fields' college highlights right next to Caleb's ruclips.net/video/5JO1PsupF_U/видео.html. Do you _see_ it? Not only is Fields the better rusher but if you count the times they're off-target enough to be The Reason the defense makes a play (inches) or just WAY OFF target that you know that the throw would be an INT in the NFL. Fields throws 2 passes that if they were about 8 inches further, the receiver might not have been immediately tackled.
      But Caleb throws at least TEN PASSES inches off to "how the hell did the defense not make a play on that ball that hung in the air for half an hour?"
      Fields is the better QB! HAAA-ha HAA-ha HA-Haaaaaa...
      Bears fans resigned themselves to allowing the Bears to eff over Fields & tried to bury their guilt by thinking that he's better off elsewhere & they got their generational QB! But they traded the better QB for less than you could have gotten for the inferior Justin Fields LITE!
      I hope they enjoy their 4th or 6th-rounder.

    As a Titans fan, I'm pretty sick of hearing the BS about Ridley's age... He missed an entire year because of the league's failure to have a competent gambling policy, and had a decent year last year catching passes from a half healthy Trevor Lawrence. Same with DeAndre Hopkins. He more than proved last year that he still has plenty in the tank, now take last year... add a better Oline... Ridley on the other side... Boyd in the slot... a healthy and more experienced Will Levis... This offense is for real! With a halfway decent defense (LB leaves a lot to be desired, along with Safety). This is easily an 8 to 9 win team. A few lucky, or unlucky, bounces, can change that. But seriously, enough about age with guys who are still clearly very capable!

    The Titans' front office is looking to see if Levis is the answer. That's why they got all those vet receivers and began to help the offensive line out. You couldn't tell much last year, except that Levis has a crazy strong arm, because the O-line was so incredibly atrocious. If Levis can get time behind a revamped O-line while throwing to guys who know how to run routs and get open, then we can see if he is the future or not. I'm cautiously optimistic. The guy has shown flashes, but has been very inconsistent. Now it's time to see how much of that inconstancy is because of himself, or because of the players that were around him.

    How are the Titans most improved? Yeah they upgraded on OL and WR, but there are still questions in the secondary, LB, TE, the right side of the OL, and pass rush. Remember they also lost Autry, their best LB, and Henry. Their biggest addition was probably their new OL coach Callahan.

    • @TopShotta._Zay
      @TopShotta._Zay 22 дня назад +2

      OL and WR improved was really important, and with the Callahans alone, that makes us even better.
      Getting rid of Vrabs was the best decision, are last big push we had was 2019, the same year Vrabs won COTY, and every single year after was a decline just like his coaching. Play calling was obvious, it was like playing madden and people at home knew what we would do before it even happened. Also I don’t wanna hear, “well all yall had was Derrick.” All we did was lose too so at least if your gonna lose, try something that’s not being predicted 90% of the game. Callahan has made more impressive moves and has opened up our playbook to more than the “King Henry Specials.”
      Now I think I speak for all Titans when I say we loved and miss Derrick but we all knew Henry wasn’t gonna stay so let’s not act like that’s an argument, he wanted to win and we weren’t, simple as that. Plus Derrick would not prosper in this new pass heavy offense because as you can tell Pollard and Spears are way better passing threats out the backfield and we saved money to make the moves we did this offseason.
      Secondary speaks for itself, Sneed, Chido, McCreary (Our best CB last year), Hooker (a reliable safety for us for the past 5+ years), and Molden who is the worse but improved and as a fan we are waiting for signing rumors for one of the safeties in FA but that doesn’t count cuz it’s a rumor. I say that’s a HUGE improvement in the secondary from last year who were the absolute worst against the pass and we have the former Ravens DC who had the Ravens lock down everything in the passing game and run game.
      TEs are young but they have gotten better every year so if we can give Burks some more time so can Chig and Whyle who have produced more then Burks has.
      The only real position that we got worse at was LB but honestly is see them making plays just as much this year. 4th round pick Gray was a steal, Gibbins has always made plays when he was on the field, he just didn’t have as many opportunities to show it but now he does so he will be fine, the biggest question mark is Murray Jr, but as fan you just have to wait and see.
      All that to say if you think a team that was 6-11 last year and pretty much ranked last in every stat isn’t improved then I don’t know what improvement is then especially when you compare it to many other teams.

Fired their incompetent d coordinator for one who actually understands the current offensive trends and how to defend against them. Signed a RB 1 year removed (and an offensive line) away from being all pro and a safety who is 1 year away from being all pro. The 2023 draft class for the packers was insanely good but this 2024 class almost certainly has some gems as well. Maybe the most competitive 53 in the league this year and the players are fully bought in as well. Bringing in DL Justin Jones is a downgrade for any NFL run defense, even if the run defense is already the worst in the league. I don't know why you didn't factor in coaching changes in considering which teams improved the most this off-season. And when you factor in coaching, the Chargers are the most improved team in the league.

    Bears legit are the Panthers of this year.. People act like cause a bad team got a QB and some assets they playoff bound.. And act like this isn’t the SAME office that lead to Justin Fields seeming bad.. Chicago might get about 7 wins, idky people act like a team in the same position as last year with 4 new players mostly on offense all of a sudden fixes their bad line, defense, and other stuff.. Plus Caleb while talented shows himself as FARRRRRRR too cocky and never actually getting his team to wins.. Why do people think he’s about to save the bears is beyond me personally…

      @owtkvst Месяц назад +1

      The Panthers?? Lmao. U do realize they won 7 games last year with horrible QB play(Justin Fields WAS bad, It wasn’t the Bears making him seem bad lol) a bad OC, and no real weapons outside of DJ and Kmet right? Lol. They added Waldron who’s a proven OC, they added CW, Rome, Keenan Allen, Gerald Everett, Swift, two new centers to improve their biggest weakness on the OL, oh, and the defense you say was bad? Was the number 1 defense in the league after the Montez Sweat trade. 8 wins is the floor. It’s no guarantee they’re a playoff team, but it’s much more likely they’re a playoff team than bad.

      @@owtkvst Umm HALF the players people are counting on are NEW.. That’s my point.. This teams has no cohesion as they’ve never played together.. People legit saying “they added talented people so now the team’s gonna be successful”.. That’s just not how most things work.. It’s a dynamic that’s needed and imo Caleb is gonna be worst than Justin Fields with better talent around him.. Again we’ve yet to see this kid get his own team any meaningful wins.. He’s gonna get the stats but.. Nothing more so far is all we’ve seen.. I don’t think they’ll be much better than last year cause Justin wasn’t bad cause he couldn’t make the moves.. He was bad like how Bryce was last year.. Not bad as a player, just was placed in a terrible situation and surrounding cast and pointed at as the fall guy..

    • @maskedman5657

      @@ktdagoat1289 They added Kenan Allen, Kevin Byard, and DeAndre Swift. Those guys aren't new and are great additions to the team. And they also got one of the best receivers in the draft.
      At least they can win 8 games with that stacked defense and crazy running back room. They still have Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert there as well

    • @owtkvst
      @owtkvst Месяц назад

      @@ktdagoat1289 yeahhh, no. Incredibly incorrect. Did U actually watch the Bears last year? Or are you going off of highlights? Fields was just bad. It had nothing to do with his supporting cast. He didn’t see the field well, slow release, fumbled too much, was statistically the worst QB in the 4th quarter of games(eye test as well), couldn’t diagnose zone defenses correctly, and couldn’t get past his first read on a consistent play to play basis and even when he did it was too late and the defense was in his face. Not to mention he took a ton of horrible sacks. If Caleb is even a functional NFL QB, just average, the Bears will be better. And sure, the Bears will need to gel together, but here’s the thing. That’s what the off-season is for. It isn’t like these guys are mid season additions. They’re gonna get the entire offseason to work together and learn each other. On top of that, all but two of those additions are veterans. Keenan is a veteran Pro bowl player, Swift is a vet who’s been to the pro bowl, Everett is a vet, both the Centers are vets(Shelton is from the Rams and was in the same type of zone run system), and Byard is a multi time Pro Bowl vet who gets to learn the defense. My question for you is, do you think it’s just impossible for a team to get better in the offseason?? Because unless you do think so, your logic isn’t making sense. Again, these guys aren’t mid season additions. They get the full summer and preseason to gel. Teams every year add a bunch of talent and immediately get better. Hell, the Bears of last year are one of em🤣, went from 3 wins to 7 and probably would have had more if the QB play wasn’t horrible late in games. Lastly, Caleb is a rookie coming in. It’s very rare for a college QB to come in and have had team success in college. Hell, most of the best QBs in the league played on flat out bad college football teams. (Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Purdy, Dak, Stafford, Rodgers, Herbert’s best college season was basically equivalent to Caleb’s in terms of team success, etc etc)
