    Eero is an electronics and Internet company that has created mesh networking equipment for home WiFi. It was founded in 2015 and is located in San Francisco, California.
    Eero is a San Francisco-based company wireless Internet company with products for household use of Wi-Fi. The company was acquired by Amazon in 2019 for $97 million.
    The company creates various products that allow for WiFi to reach all areas of your home. The products are intended to be used throughout the house and are particularly useful in dead zones, where its wireless routers can usually extend WiFi services. Customers can order the product and download the company's application. Then, the eero device is plugged into the customer's existing modem and the customer is given information about where to place the eero devices for optimal WiFi coverage in the house. The products use TrueMesh technology that consists of routing algorithms and the analyzation of real-time data to keep the speed of the WiFi consistent.
    Eero offers multiple products to its customers, including the eero, eero Pro 6, eero 6, eero 6 extender, and eero Beacon. Customers can also buy products in packs including devices from eero's parent company, Amazon, such as the Amazon Echo Dot.

    At 2:15, you say all the extenders would be listed right there. And that makes sense. I have two extenders, two eero. It only shows the one. But on both my Eeros, it’s a solid white light.

      It sounds like the EERO extender is not setup for your network. You may have to factory reset the EERO that is not shown and then attempt to add it to your network again.

    Can you separate the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands so that they work at the same time as two independent networks?

    • @TEK411Tech
      @TEK411Tech  6 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately not, you can turn off 5ghz temporarily to troubleshoot pairing issues but you can not separate the bands.

      @@TEK411Tech Have you had problems with smart home devices (security cameras, light bulbs, plugs that only work with 2.4 GHz)?

    • @TEK411Tech

      no, there is an option to disable 5ghz temporarily if the device fails to pair/connect and I have had to do that with a couple IOT devices. After pairing they work perfectly.

    I discovered that to use profiles the Eero cannot be in bridge mode, must be setup for DHCP. Overall, no big deal.

      Yes and no on this. You can block devices from the list of devices. There is no blacklist/whitelist function though.

    Unfortunately, there is no way to throttle bandwidth in profiles. Example would be setting a small business such as coffee shop where there might be a dozen customers. Want them to have enough speed to do basic mobile internet, but not enough to massive downloads or other high bandwidth activities. Most customers wouldn't, it's non-customers that would be leaching nearby somewhere in range.
