You guys are legitimately some of the best magic content on RUclips- the music, the overlays, the setup, the cool pioneer decks, it’s amazing, and an absolute atrocity you only have 30K!

I guess currently the closest paper gameplayer on RUclips is Shuffle Up and Play from TCC and while that's also really fun to watch and I would highly recommend, the difference in gameplay quality is staggering.
Edit: Forgot about all the commander gameplay channels which are often very good too, but competitive 1v1 is just that much more interesting to watch imo

The discussions after each play are really good. So interesting to know what's going thru each player's head.
Easily the most underrated MTG channel out there. Great feature matches, a fun variety of formats and the production is fantastic.
This is definitely one of the best YT for Magic content, it's refreshing not seeing a single Commander game, the verity is amazing!

Would love to see a pioneer vs modern feature match with izzet phoenix and izzet murktide, something like “is modern really stronger than pioneer?” I think it’s be interesting considering pioneer has access to cards like dog through time and treasure cruise, that modern does not have access to.

I have my own version of Prowess but instead of Shredder I have Stormwing Entity. I feel like Shredder is a must, but having it that expensive really hurts.
Also I prefer Of One Mind over Reckless Impulse. It is almost everytime a one mana-draw two and you don't reveal the cards nor have to play them within the next turn. Great to see Prowess functioning that well, makes me happy to see my deck-ish obliterating the annoying spirits.
Would love to see a “Is modern really stronger than pioneer?” Feature match with izzet murktide and izzet Phoenix, obviously modern has access to a lot more powerful cards, but pioneer gets cards like dog through time and treasure cruise which I think would make the match interesting
I mean, Liliana of the Veil is stronger than both of those imo, and Pioneer just got her as a taste of Modern power level
Next time you guys do modern I'd love to see something using the interaction between Sagas and power conduit. Being able to set your urza's saga back to 2 after the 3rd activation, keeping the saga and finding an artifact every turn. Asmo cookbook shells seem like a great place for this interaction with other good sagas like fable of the mirror breaker.

Mengu forgeting the sprite dragon trigger, just show that pro players are humans too
also not casting rending volley in response of rattlechains hexproof trigger

How do you feel about “fading hope” in the spirits deck?
was lithomantic barrage not printed yet? or is the "can't be countered" more valuable than the 1 extra damage? because I would personally have lithomantic barrage in my sideboard, not rending volley.

At 9:27, could Arne not have flashed in the second supreme phantom to put the targeted phantom’s toughness to 4? Seems like a more efficient play than saccing the wanderer?

When the den of the bugbear attacks, it creates a 1/1 goblin attacking as well, right?
That is correct, but Arne was tapping Bugbear with his two spirits before attack, so attack didn't happen for bear.
how he could used the ability of mausoleum wanderer, when strangle is still on the stack, to counter strangle ?

How is Mengu playing with monastery swiftspear in pioneer? It's not legal in that format
The mono red pioneer precon comes with a playset of swiftspears - it very much is legal. Perhaps you're thinking of explorer?
As a Pro Player Wizards lets me add a card of choice to every format, I chose Monastery Swiftspear for this one.
My bad checked on gatherer and doesnt show that's why i got concerned. Checked and gatherer doesnt show pioneer legality at all

What cutting error? Do you have a time stamp? Even after watching all of game 3 again I cannot see it
@@everybodyhasabelly after game 2, there's a "omg, that ledger shredder was op, better buy it on cardmarket" kind of semi-ad. But in game 2, ledger shredder didn't even hit the board (or at least wasn't relevant, in stark contrast to game 3). So I'm quite sure it wasn't supposed to be that way? Dunno, maybe I'm stupid and missing sth.
@@michaelbohm5160 oh! Yeah. It's not an editing mistake as much as it is Arne just hating ledger shredder. He was speaking about the match-up in general and just needed something to call out in the Karma Crow shout-out. You really scared me for a second 😵 I thought something was wrong with the editing
