      Thanks so much Dennis. She’s well on the mend now.
      Yeah. Glasses have always been an issue for commercial shoots I’ve done and I’d always start with tilting them down slightly before doing anything else

      @@VicBarry Glad to hear that about the wife.
      I just started with glasses a couple years ago, they are a PITA but I can't do contacts, so I fight the urge to push them up my nose constantly, the, glare, and just the overall nuisance of them. Getting old aint easy but it beats the alternative haha

      @@VicBarry I knew when I was constantly getting nauseous. Like my vision isn't total crap, except close up, but further away its blurry enough that I was getting motion sickness walking through Walmart 🤣🤣🤣 Told the wife about it, she was like YOUR BLIND OLD MAN! Now I'm all! 🤓🤓🤓 Alright I will let you get back to your day! Have a great one!

    Thanks a mil, Vic. Always super helpful. QQ: What would you suggest if I wanted to shoot a subject in a totally dark place, as though there was only a a single spotlight coming straight down, but still see their face front lit? make sense?

    • @VicBarry
      @VicBarry  10 дней назад +1

      Hey 👋 cheers. Totally. You could position the light more or less above them and use a white bounce card in front of them so the light bounces off that and lights their face.
      Alternatively you could use two lights and a modifier just for their face.
      Depends on the look you’re going for ultimately

    How do you get the background so dark? I use a llight with a softbox but the light drop off between the foreground (me) and the background is not enough to make the background dark (walls are fairly light in colour)

      @VicBarry  11 дней назад

      @@bigjimny hey Jim. Literally just the one light. It’s not a bright room but completely light controlled so for this video about one light , it’s pretty dark.
      Look at adjusting the brightness on the light as well but making the light “darker” and still have watchable video will depend on the camera and the lens as well.
