Funny how the most skilled trainees are former SM trainees. It might be a trash company, but their training system is no joke, so good!
Kιng Jongнyυn actually yanchen returned the second time they called but left again. According to him he was disappointed on their training system lol
fabuxoxo I'm sorry, I don't think that's the case. And anyway, is it better in China where they don't even have good basic training system? Let's not forget where the top stars from China (yixing, Kris, Luhan) came from: SM Ent. Yixing was so bad in his early years and look at him now, a top artist all around! So no, I don't think it's the training system, the company is trash and they don't treat their artists properly, but they'll turn them into mega stars and polish them till perfection. As I said before, living example is Zhang Yixing, the actual host of Idol Producer.

many leave sm not because of shitty training system but because it's too intense and highly competitive. it may have earned them a "shitty company" image but it can't be denied that sm artists (people who actually survived that inhumanly competitive training system) are one of the greatest artists out there- like the finest of diamonds thoroughly polished and highly skilled.

Is it only me but most of the skilled trainee are former trainee of SM Entertainment? Dude all those mentions from SM Entertainment are so good!
SM's training system is lethal but incredibly good. Ding Zeren is the perfect example of SM idols especially when it comes to dancing.

Brittany Terry and vocalist... Dont forget about that... Imo one of best vocalist with the best range,skill, and technique came from SM... U can hate the company all u want but u cant denied how well they trained the trainee... They literally change mediocore ppl to freaking talented one

Han Mubo definitely got the looks, plus his cello and violin skills and lovely voice, not too surprised he was a trainee at SM before
I recently just watched a chinese drama and he was an actor there and later when I found ot that he was/is also on idol producer I was shocked

from what i read, if i'm not mistaken, fan cheng cheng is supposed to debut with the pd101 kids, and zeren most likely to be so too. but yuehua probably pushed their debut because of this show. also, there is a dance practice video where there are/is two/one trainee whose face is covered with sticker on yuehua vlive channel and fans said that might be chengcheng. idk tho. might be wrong.

5 seconds into zeren's solo dance in ep 2, you can already tell he used to train under sm. the boy got some crazy skills. truly sm level.
I honestly have a soft spot for Yuehua boys, it began when they participated in Produce 101, they’re so talented and versatile. I hope they can finally debut now along with Kunkun and I hope they can also do promotions in Korea!! Idol Producer fighting! Jiayou!

Sarah Zimmerli maybe Mubo and Yixing crossed paths when they where trainees under SM since both of them are the same age. It depends on when he decided to leave SM for his studies.
I like Yanchen and Han Mubo a lot. SM got some crazy good scouts, not like that was ever in question. I would have love to see them in NCT. That NCT china line would be lit.
I used to be a fan of The Legend so I was so so happy when I saw Qin Fen!! Hope he gets more recognition in the future, he's so talented!

It is sad that Qin Fen indeed is in a desperate to debut because of his age. Now he is in a group now, however, I still pray for that group's success.

jiminlove park well its either hardwork or getting cut... Just look at yixing... Its not like the company put a razor on their throat so they trained harder... The trainee know they only had choice of hardwork to be the best or quit... Half ass isnt an option.. Especially not in SM when all their debuted artist is overfowing with talent+determination

Shaville Rowena Because Yanchen trained at SM. That means he's amazing at hard work and must have a lot of determination. Plus SM asked for him after his schooling, you must seriously be talented if SM is willing to wait and go after you.

These are all very interesting facts but I feel like you should've mentioned Cai Xukun training in South Korea when he was in the show, Super Idol. The show puts Chinese trainees in South Korea and trains them there because South Korean idol training is known to be some of the best. He also speaks a bit of Korean and won in the show. It's ok if you didn't know ^_^

Hui was my bias in 24K, 24K is also one of my ult groups but he left and it was so much drama around it and I gotta admit what he did was wrong but I still love Hui

I heard he bought a plane ticket to China without telling anyone and then send a text message saying he left the group and the company. He never went back to Korea. Sorry, I'm not that good at english
ikhlas e he left the day before they where gonna preform on a music show as well, like he just left for China and when he arrived in china he just texted that he will never comeback and Ofc all that he did is against the contract and all that. Like he betrayed his group and his company

No wonder those trainees mentioned here who were previously in SMENT worked their asses off in IP. They were so used to that kind of training, it was normal to them already. Man, they were really one of the talented trainees on the show and now I know one of the reasons behind their power to work hard, they were from SMENT!
And SMENT contacting Yanchen again, I'm not surprised at all. He has the capacity to actually debut under that company. He's got that "SM charisma" in him. Zeren is super talented too but I believe he fits more with Yuehua. Him being in NEX7 is
I know people talk a lot of crap about how SM is terrible to their artists, but the results they put out are amazing and recently they’ve been doing a better job at treating them. So it kinda surprises me when I see people reject SM. Just my opinion, you don’t have to agree~

I doubt they’d have much success if they debut Yuehua in Korea as an all-Chinese member group. Asian countries are patriotic AF and they don’t really like their neighbouring countries.

Im so proud of Justin finally debuting after participating in Idol Producer.P101 was a rought experience as well as Idol Producer and being through both of the shows really helped him improve himself💖💖

it wasn't really a company but another trainee survivsl show based on 25 chinese trainees who trained in korea...Cai XuKun was one of the finalists so he debuted eith SWINS

K-Did You Know? He was in the show 'super idol' made by mbc and a china tv station. In the show, the chinese trainees and korean trainees were trained in korea, and they have a competition for debut. There were two seasons, and lastly xukun won and debuted in the group 'swin'. But xukun later leave the group because of serval problems.(which are reported lately, maybe you can go for a search)

Zhou Yanchen is so cute. if somebody is contacted by SM that means something. He would have been a good SM member, but on the other hand I kinda like it he refused, he wouldn't have been such good dramams like The Birth of the drama king , absolutely love that drama :) It was a wise choice to choose studies first.
