I remember my first big fish. It was one of the best days of my life! The shaking, the fear of losing the fish, and the best thing is the fish pulling the line. It's like music!!! Great catch man!
Wow! That was epic. I caught a rainbow trout around the same time at WR too. The one I caught was 20" but yours was an absolute reservoir monster. Congrats on the reel of a lifetime.
Is it an official state record? Thought it had to be weighed in on an official scale. There’s no way they would register that fish into the state record book with just a hand held scale on the shoreline.
Holy shit! I love how you just know immediately that it's a lunker and that it requires assistance landing! That thing was certainly mind blowing and absolutely gorgeous ❤ congratulations on the state record!!
Whata slob!!!! Great job! People touching the line like that when a big fish is on always makes me nervous. Seen alotta nice fish lost that way. Nice release too, congrats!!
What a fish. Great job..! Imagine if you could put boats on that place like the Quabbin. The giants that would be caught. Smally record most likely swimming in that place.
Wow big fish congrats man I go fishing there a lot but have a hard time fishing there what’s some good lures and a good setup for bass there or anything Else there

@@TheGoldFishEmpire fish was only out of the water long enough to get measurements and a weight as quickly as possible knowing this was likely a record, a quick camera shot and then held in the water long enough to recover and swim off strong as shown at the end. This is early April with cold water that helps with recovery too. I feel I handled it as quickly as I could given the circumstances and I’m happy to have released that fish back to live and get bigger, when many others would have kept it to make a trophy instead.
