What a cool idea. I looked at those last month in A.C. Moore. They had about 6 different books. Now I will have to go and get one. I would like to keep the original intact also.
I now have the garden one. It's totally gorgeous. I've also taken it apart for convenience and have traced and started colouring the first pic which caught my eye. I might photo copy the others if I get round to changing the ink cartridge on my copier!
You could easily trace these onto 70gsm bleedproof paper and colour them with markers such as Sharpies. Doing this would also help you learn about drawing. The garden one is currently £5.99 on Amazon UK.
Amber NerdyMom When we were at Hobby Lobby today, they had some very similar styled coloring books. If you'd like, I can send you one to see if you like it. I want to buy myself some, and Josh wants some for leather tooling patterns.
Amber NerdyMom I know they do them in Canada, so maybe they do them in the US too :) Just search for adult colouring. There are tonnes on the Amazon US. www.amazon.com/Dream-Catcher-elaborate-Powerful-Colouring/dp/1909855839/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1437602324&sr=8-3&keywords=adult+colouring :) Is one of the colouring books that shows up when you just search for the adult colouring books.
Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to buy 2 books rather than buy ink and paper and copy them also if you copy them the black ink usually smudges as its not permanent ??
Jacqueline Bramhall Actually it's about £10-20 for a ream of paper (for a 250gsm+) (which is 500 pages) -- cheaper if you're just going to get the cheap paper which is usually no more than about £3 anyhow. Whereas a book usually only has say about 60 pictures depending. And a book can cost anywhere from £5-10. So if we were to buy another book for £5 to colour the other side, we'd be spending more money than say if we were to photocopy the image which would be black and white on some pages of the ream of paper. Basically if we buy a ream, we could photocopy up to approximately 8 colouring books (if they have 60 images), rather than buying a book twice like you've suggested. Also black printer ink is not that expensive depending on printer anyhow. Basically the ream/ink would make more sense in the long run than buying books twice. There are some colouring books that print one sided, but they usually bleed if you're using proper quality markers.
Just wondering, are these suitable for watercolouring? I've watercolored pencils and I'm thinking of doing watercolouring on it but I'm afraid it'll destroy the paper >
I saw those last week. Nearly picked them up too. Kind of wish I had now, I do love colouring.

I am teaching myself to draw using videos and books. These look like they would be good to use some of the images to practice. TFS!
I am going to buy some of these, if I can find them delivered to the US!! What a great idea! Thanks for sharing.

MsAhl0ve I *Think* watercolours are fine, but I'm not sure. If you're worried, there are some single sided adult colouring books.
