Interesting. From the last video he made taking a political compass test, his opinions about assilimiation and family values changed. When he was asked about the question if migrants should assilimate into his culture in the last video, he disagreed with it. In this video when he answered the question about family values, he agreed with it, and in the last political compass test; he disagreed with it. All of this change seems to correlate with the birth of his child.

@@kared791 I think most Germans by now would say, that migrants should integrate and assimilate into the host nations country.
That doesn't mean giving up your own culture, if you're e.g. from Syria and don't want to celebrate Christmas but want to celebrate Eid Mubarak, that is totally ok.
And you can talk Arabic at home too, no problem either.
But you should learn German, you must adhere to German Laws and accept, that the Secular Law goes above any religios law, that you can't force your religious views upon others etc.
And if I'd emigrate as a German to e.g. America, I of cause would adhere to American Laws and respect Local Culture and adapt to it.
If you come to a country and try to force your culture and religious views onto the host nations populace, then you're no migrant, then you're an invader and you can't tolerate that.
I think what did change was not so much his stance but his understanding, what the actual word "assimilate" means. I guess he misunderstood it at the time like if you're from Syria and come to Germany, you have to totally abolish your Syrian Arabic Culture and Identity and become Ultra-German.
I don't think he really changed in that regard.
But I do remember him commenting negatively on military spending and that changed now, as he stated himself.

We have Rocks that are billions of years old, logically we would assume that the universe if it was created by an external power has been around billions of years, not a few thousand. You act like you use logic, but fail to release the irony that surrounds you. The explanation of the universe is up to your interpretation, the universe could've either been created by an external force, or it could've always existed, or popped into existence without any scientific reasoning and no external force. One belief can't explain the entire origin of the universe. So it is logical to follow your own beliefs about the origins of the universe, and to not criticize or attack people who do not follow your beliefs.

2:00 A lot of people have a misunderstanding of what government debt is. It's not in "debt" in the traditional sense as in money received from a third party to later be paid back at a greater value. A government spends money before it is received in taxes from the citizens of a nation and a government's "debt" is just the surplus of what they spent compared to what they later taxed - they then go into actual debt to make up for that. Basically, when a government spends on welfare, it is spending money that it does not have then it taxes it citizens to pay for what it already purchased.

Because poor countries cannot go into debt, many of them issue money which causes inflation (money is a good, like any other, and is influenced by supply and demand as any other good, so the higher the supply in relation to demmand, the lower the value. ).
Another example of economic mismanagement in Europe are the PIGS countries, where northern europe pays for the party so they can sustain a high quality of life despite their economic policies, as long as GDP per capita gap between the most richest countries and the poorest within EU is not too far away (Spain is now almost 20% poorer than the average EU country since socialist workers party entered at 2019).

the problem also isn't that we view the world in different ways and have our own conclusions on right and wrong, I have no problem with accepting yours or his, the only "problem" is the arrogance of thinking your way is the absolute correct and through logic you came to that point. How many people before us with more "horrible" ideas said and thought the same, are we really so different?

That childish belief that giving government more oppressive tools and that won’t backfire on you because your country “democratic” is really fascinating, Canada is a great example.
The amount of right wing propaganda against Trudeau's government in Canada is truly baffling. I have no idea how people managed to be convinced that a relatively milquetoast and feckless leader like Trudeau is a "dictator", the man's been in a minority government and can't pass legislation without the help of other parties in parliament.
Not to mention how people completely glossed over the fact that the report on the use of the emergencies act by Trudeau states that US federal and state level government officials pressured Trudeau to remove the protesters and reopen the bridge between Windsor and Detroit to restore the flow of trade. The implied threat being that the US government and state of Michigan would cut Canada out of the automotive trade.
It's less embarrassing in the eyes of the Canadian government and media to pretend as if Trudeau was totally in control rather than admitting that the US government is capable of ordering us around whenever they feel like and that our sovereignty over our own country is as strong as wet tissue paper.
A strong leader would have increased the military budget to reduce our reliance on the US Air Force and Navy to defend our sovereignty, a strong leader would have taken advantage of our new trade deal the European Union to partially diversify our trade away from the US to reduce our economic reliance on a single country, and a strong leader would have built dozens of new oil and gas pipelines, export terminals, and refineries against the protests of local municipalities and provincial governments to generate wealth for Canadians rather than exporting all of our oil and gas to Texas at a discount where it's refined and sold to overseas customers at three times the price.
Trudeau isn't a dictator, he's an incompetent and indecisive moron that needs to hire hundreds of consultants, forms dozens of committees, and hem and haw for 1-2 years before he makes a decision on anything.

They, as a Company own the network and are only profit oriented hence why this lead to the removal of many lines that where not profitable. Only when the network is owned by the state and only the services are offered by private companies, truly fair competition can exist since no single company can put itself first on the network since its owned by the state.
The DB is a public limited company, but 100% of the DB is owned by the state. This causes problems because the bosses of the DB are simply lining their pockets. The DB must be privatized and the DB monopoly must be abandoned so that there are private railway companies that compete against each other for market share, so that the service gets better (because they actually have to compete for customers
@@Sir_Cole I know that but the german rail network used to be mostly directly state owned with private companies competing on it. The DB changed that by acting as a private company while being state owned. Because it acts as a private company it prioritizes its own trains, making fair competition in terms of service next to impossible. Any private company owning a railway that is unprofitable will shut it down, even if it hurts the local communities for whom they where supposed to. If the rail network is owned by the state it can give incentives to companies to operate these lines because they no longer have to pay for the upkeep of it while the state profits from increased traffic to commercial areas and less traffic on the roads which can have many benefits.
I started watching tommy a few years ago self indentifying as a nationalist, dreaming about invading Poland in an Überturbofister-Todespanzer. The more i grew up however, the more left wing I became. I did the test before i watched this video and it said i'm a libertarian socialist, which i would agree with. I'd love to see other results from this community and start a civil discussion.

I had pretty much the same experience, when I stated watching Tommy I was fully engulfed in my hard line conservative, anti sjw phase paired with a irrational love for anything N@zi Germany related. When I look back at this time in my life, I'm definitely not proud of it. It came at a time where I was struggling with my mental health as well as socially. Being isolated with these believes through social media algorithms, as well as in school with the stupid German Hauptschul system definitely didn't help either. Eventually I grew out of it all after improving my mental health and switching schools to go to a Gymnasium where I found a new friend group that reflects the total opposite of what my old political beliefs had previously held such strong irrational prejudices against. Today I find myself identifying more as an social libertarian/ centrist with which my test results pretty much agrees with. 60.9% social on the economic axis, 51.7% on the diplomatic axis, 54.3% civ and 37.4% social axis. I would still call myself a patriot but for the values that the modern german state stands for.

is interesting for me to see that point of view since he lives in germany, i mean is not bad but is obvious that first world countrys have very diferent goals that 3 worlds countrys (i am from argentina), i live in a reality where the goverment fucked up for so long that any plan for the goverment to intervine with the economy/anything sounds like another fuck up from the goverment, any public company here gets massive loses, we have a ton of inflation and most of the spending is useless for our situation (try to investigate something with 50% of the people under poverty or try to finance "culture" just useless).

An efficient government is impossible, due the fact that the state, as a monopoly, does not have incentives to provide goods and services of quality neither needs to know how to save money within smart investments, as all money the state gains is throught taxes, extracted by force. Whats needed is a descentralization of power, competence within a free market framework.

@@sebe2255 Its true that Europe is dying due to demographics as well, the state shouldn't force you to pay any pension that it wont be able to provide. Europe should focus on lowering taxes, regulations and government spending in order to foment talent and entrepreneurship
as well as in order to atract talent from outside instead of refugees and low-quality foreigners that the state currently subsidies via subsidies and "inclusive" cuotas imposed to companies that discriminates people by race and gender rather than capabilities.

@@sebe2255 The point is that by lowering taxes, regulations and government spending, Europe could become a competitive market that could attract and foment national and foreign investment, attract more immigrants as well as hight quality ones. Also, the state must stop cheating its citizens with state funded pensions, as it is a Ponzi scheme that makes a big chunk of government spending (more than education and health, by far). The US has overcomed a demographic crisis via immigration of both qualified and unqualified immigration thanks to a competitive free market.
The EU should stop to interfere in the economics affairs of its members as well as politics. It should only be a great free market treaty, as it was in the past.
In geopolitics, Europe should stop to act in US interest and start to act independently as a cohesive block. They should stop warring Russia, but trade with them for raw resources and cheap energy and sell them its manifactured goods, leave NATO, improve its military as well as fund an European military alliance centered in self defence, it must avoid doing a foreign military intervention unless a foreign country or any entity (like somalian pirates) is disrupting trade. Protection of trade agreements and self defence must be its only motives to go to war.
Im giving some ideas that could help Europe to overcome its demographic and economic crisis, if you disagree, you should at least give an arguments.
