Thats a good question ... a question i actually asked Topps via email about 6 or 7 years ago. I asked if they kept a record of all the signed cards they've ever done ... since the holograms have numbers it would be easy to monitor! The response i got said that they dont keep track of the signed cards from previous collections ... and that they also dont give out much information about which cards have been signed to keep it exciting. However in the past few months I've learnt quite a bit more about the process of signed cards ... previously (prior to the holograms changing to the smaller ones in around 2012) there was one person at the Topps office in England who was in charge of the holograms ... ones person whos job it was to stick the holograms on etc ... so he was in charge of the sheet of stickers ... however a high up Topps employee had been stealing from the warehouse for a number of years ... they'd taken all sorts ... packs, multi packs, tins etc ... as well as an enormous amount of unused/unreleased signed cards and limited editions ... I won't mention any names but they were selling them on eBay ... bundles of 100, 200 and sometime even 500 packs for about 50% of the RRP ... as well as unreleased limited edition and signed cards ... their eBay account now no longer exists ... when Topps finally found out the employee was dismissed ... following the employee being removed a number of big overhauls happened at the office in the UK ... such as changing the hologram procedure from only 1 person being in charge of it to a team and more importantly they created new holograms and moved the operation of affixing all future holograms to their offices in Italy. i can only assume that they thought that the holograms could potentially be compromised, so they changed them so that if something like it happened again, it would be harder to fraudulently use the holograms. they were in hot water again a few years back when some top authenticators called them out for some Roberto Firmino sitcker autographs being fake ... they have also been called out a few years back for having fake Kenny Baker autograph cards and stickers in some star wars sets ... (Kenny Baker played R2 D2 and died a few years back). Whilst there have been 1 or 2 instances of autographs being faked and included and passed off as genuine in Topps sets, they're normally picked up on very very quickly by fans after a sets release ... and when Topps are made aware, they pull the card/cards from their retrospective set. for the most part though, amongst collectors, cards containing the Topps holograms are considered authentic ... Topps has been around for a very long time and is one of the most, if not the biggest and most respected card producer in the world ... along with Panini. These 2010 autograph cards are obviously now about 11 years old ... and there has never been any indication that they are not genuine. hope that gives you a bit more info lol!
It is fake. Any card that is signed with hologram that isnt Shilton Lampard or Lennon is fake. They should all begin with code 742... any other card has a fake signature and an hologram from a cheaper card stuck on. Any card with code 268.. is fake. All these 100 club hologram signed cards are a scam. All hologram cards on ebay that are not shilton lampard or lennon are fake. Dont believe whatever bullshit story they give about a warehouse problem. It is fake. They all are
any chance you'd sell the sealed packs you have? ;) Yes it was just Shilton and Lampard in the Tesco packs ... the Lennon was included in the match of the day magazine around the time of the 2010 world cup ... all the other signed cards (like the ones I have) were competition prizes given out at swap and play events and promotional events that Tesco ran in partnership with the FA.
Franz Beckenbauer and tim howard in the same packet ?....tim howard valued nothing being keeper in the US team...he received many goals from Europe teams and became eliminated....USA soccer team have always been useless poor players against Europe teams....but you don't give real value to Buffom's shiny card....Pele and Bagio cards are really important....Paolo Rossi and Dino Zoff are really important....Cafu....Cruyff....Lottar Matthaus....Beckham...Franco Baresi from 1982 world cup were real talented players.....Wayne Roomey is an useles poor player who commit several violent fouls against rivals during that 2010 world cup....maradona after 1990 became a doped player and lost his talents and fame....maradona made some doped or drunk sad incidents at Russia 2018 world cup...does maradona card value anything after all disasters we watched from him since 1991 ?....there are many other historic players who were really greater than maradona and topps guys never considered them....now this british breaker in his 20's became soccer authority 'cause he broke some oldie 2010 packets....better go to ask your dad or grandpa's who were the real talented players from 70's and 80's soccer.....
