Jess and Jamie, I spent 6 weeks in South Dakota and Wyoming to complete my Geology degree back in 1997. We got to go to a part of the Badlands that was on privately held land so we were allowed to look for and take fossils. I found a knee joint of a titanothere that I still have to this day. Viewing this video brought back all the awesome memories I have of that time. I’m glad to see you appreciated the wonder and beauty of that land as much as I did.

This travel video and the one of your hike to the waterfall in B.C. Canada are the kind of videos I watch over and over. Can't get enough of it. Thank you for showing all the animals (bison, prairie dogs, wild horses, cow statue, cats) as well as the scenery, which is gorgeous.

Hi! Thanks for showing all the sites along the way of your travels! The horses were beautiful! Though, I believe you saw bison not buffalo. Contrary to popular belief (even the song "Home on the Range") buffalo are found in Africa and Asia, Bison are native to North America and Europe.

I was smiling through the whole video. I live about 80 miles North of Fargo. If you ever want to take an epic camping trip to see Fall colors, I HIGHLY recommend coming back to ND & going to Pembina and Walhalla. The fall colors there are GORGEOUS! By the way, those are Bison. Buffalo’s aren’t found in Northern America.

If you pause it just right at 6:55 that rock formation looks kind of like a beaver laying down. The Badlands have been on my bucket list for a few years now; thanks for sharing your time there! As I've heard aplenty: jumping on a fluffy cow and yelling "Yip yip" won't make a bison fly, but you will.

Technically theyre called bison. American bison used to roam all the way to new york before the Europeans came. There used to be over 3 million bidon roaming the us but now theres i think 100,000 at least.

So in the olden days in America the word used for Bison was Buffalo which was derived of the French “bœuf, a name given to bison when French fur trappers working in the US in the early 1600s saw the animals. The word bœuf came from what the French knew as true buffalo, animals living in Africa and Asia.
So these are technically Bison but used to be called Buffalo. That's why it's "Buffalo Bill" and such things. It's not uncommon for people to call them that today either.
However true buffalos look a lot more cow like.

Have you guys ever tried or thought to try and compile a list of all of the states each of your dogs has been in or through over their lives?? I ask this because to my thinking, I'm betting that by now Memphis has been at least for a few minutes in all 50 states, except for Hawaii, which I know will never happen because getting there would involve an airplane flight and you won't do that to your dogs, and I don' blame you for that, although I don' think she's ever been to Alaska either, if so I don' think you ever got it on film, probably not there long enough to merit pulling out the camera , if she ever Has been there.
