Hands down best of the small trucks to upgrade. Plenty of space inside for anything (receivers, video transmitters, ect) you can imagine. Step 1 is to remove and toss all electronics though lol. I have upgraded dozens of these with 10 channel receivers and radios- then you’re free to add servos or relay switches to create whatever vehicle you can think of.
I have the exact same truck and your right it does struggle quite a bit in rough terrain. The cab sticks out in front of the front tires and hangs low so it hangs up on stuff. The tires are terrible and the suspension is non existent. Other than that it's a decent truck. ha ha ... The only reason I bought one was for the body shell. It looks cool and I can see all kinds of things you could do with it. Personally if I upgrade mine the only original part would be the body. I do like that it came with 2 NiMH batteries that will work good for my RadioLink transmitter. You definitely put the 6x6 through some rough stuff. I really like the night time footage. Great job! The light source was perfect. 👍👍🏁🏁
