@LPikeno you got an actual personality in there, or do you completely revolve around party politics, devoid of novel thought lest you offend your sacred cows. Actually, Tillman is right. A Sheriff carries a lot more authority than people think they do, lol. They are the Reeve of The Shire. That is where the term Sheriff came from.
Unless the sheriff is incorporated, the sheriff is the law of the land he can deputize everyone in the county and refuse government entry all day every day
This kind of bad writing is why I just couldn't watch this season. Trying to write a character who's Christian and conservative, when you are neither and understand neither, makes the whole show seem so cheap.
The acting of this season was 5 star but the not so subtle political messages where so tiresome. Men bad, white men even more bad, Christian’s bad, Trump bad… I can’t wait for the day people start making shows again with the intention of alienating and insulting half the audience immediately

Better than season 4, good tv, but way off the tracks of Fargo, gone too current political instead of sticking with timeless fables and philosophy since season 3.
Oh so season 2 dealing with the late 70s recession, Vietnam trauma, the rise of Reagan, corporate expansionism and the remains of the civil rights movement wasn't political and it was a "timeless fable"? Jesus, media literacy is really dead.

Jon hamm kills it as roy
3:04 “Cater to his needs as a man, with your mouth, in order to sow harmony.” 😂
A perfect role for Hamm.
"The President?"
"...a baby."
Gotta say, a senile old man has the same general concepts applied.
Jennifer is killing it.

As great as Jon Hamm was in Mad Men, I feel like he was made for this role, just absolutely nails it.
Roy Tillman is a great parody of the American Cowboy. I wish the whole season was dedicated to western mythology.
He was clearly inspired by the bundy family and sovereign sheriff movement.
It should of been yeah so cool
Should been a western
Should've taken place in the late 1800 century
Name 12 westerns.
Great season of Fargo
The husband is breathing OUR air.
A sheriff's employee has never won an argument IRL. 😂
Sheriff is not responsible for interpretation of the law, only enforcement. Court handles interpretation.
Never watched Fargo saw John Hamm now I’m subscribing
Mr. Hamm sure had a field day with this role, it must be really fun to let yourself loose into such a despicable character for a while.
Roy is a GRADE A JACKAZZ! Jon Hamm played him well! 💥
5:45 he wants freedom which comes from security and community. Can’t have security without a community which infers responsibility.
Bingo. And there is no freedom or rights in the absence of the moral law, which was written on the hearts of all men.

Gotta love that character
In the spirit it was written yes.
It's just lipstick on a pig, you feel me.
Don Draper makes a helluva great sheriff.
Right On I'll die for my Bill of Rights, Freedom , Liberty and Happiness
LOL you haven't seen this season, have you? He is the villain 😄
Lmao John Hamm plays all these bad supermen characters when in reality he’s a chillaxed hipster
uh... you may want to look up his history. he wasnt always so chillaxed
@ what do you know cough it up at once
Roy Tillman is the ultimate Clint Walker / Cheyenne wannabe
beautiful portrayal
5:47 that woman is badass ha
Shouldve been a farcry villian
Doesn't the authority of the sherriff also derive from the state?
He is written to be hypocritical

I know she struck me too. A natural beauty

Not when theyve been hiring based on DEI for decades. Perception is power and they are perceived as weak because they are.

He was a fraud all along, ran like a coward.
Hopefully Jon hamm doesn’t think he’s a tough guy after this roll.
