John Williamson - Headliner Show

CRUISING COUNTRY 2018 - John Williamson Headliner Show. Recorded in the Radiance of the Seas Aurora Showroom. The video is compromised by rough seas, long zoom and some very late nights in the Schooner Bar causing me to drift off at times ;-). Check the last few minutes of the video, quite funny.

Back in the '90's, John asked me to do a picture of a butcher bird for him, on a wooden serving tray. I pyrographed (burnt) the image onto the tray. It was one of several pyrography pieces I did for him back then. He is a nice fella.

Jealous buddy I first heard John Williamson trying to download John Williams and John Williamson popped up first heard the baggy green assume the song might have been about marijuana but fell in love with the song and started purchasing every John Williams and album in my grasp

Thank you for this video. I've only been fortunate enough to see JW perform three times in the last eight years (all at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre), but this - his final year of real touring - I can't. There are precious few recordings of JW performing Prarie Hotel Parachilna live, so what a thrill to have it here! 58:08 It's right up there with Salisbury Street and Cootamundra Wattle as my favourite three JW songs. JW such an Aussie icon and I'm gonna miss seeing him perform live; videos with quality as good as yours are so rare!
