went here during 2017 but then i took a reallyyy long break from academia and will return this fall 2022. :) i miss east bay!

4:10 those bricked areas of the sidewalk were because of an earthquake in the early 2000s. The side walk sections were displaced and in order to keep them wheel chair friendly they at first ground down the uneven edges.....but now I see that they've cut them out altogether and replaced the uneven joints with a bricked patch. Beautiful, beautiful campus. I used to go for walks there frequently. It was just exactly like this....after class hours all the students would head home and it wasn't uncommon to have this beautiful botanical garden of a campus all to myself. Simply amazing.

This is why I wanted to film these campuses while everything was locked down
There wouldn't be a chance to capture these beautiful schools without any people
It's too bad I couldn't film Humboldt, Chico, and Sonoma 😓

That cat had been rescued by us and was adopted by a family :) We sill have two cats there but they had been neutered and consider the hill as their home.

Thanks for the walk through of my alma mater. Lol. It’s funny how I remember all those buildings by name. I wish you could have walked the whole length of the campus. Was the way to Meiklejohn Hall completely blocked off?

I was on a tight schedule that day haha
UC Berkeley, and Downtown Berkeley also
I don't know about Meiklejohn Hall, since I just tried to walk what I could, I hope it is okay 😅

@@WishfulWalkingVideos It’s fine. Meiklejohn Hall, had you kept going, would have been on the opposite side of campus. So if you passed by the construction zone and kept going south you would have seen the rest of the campus ending with Meiklejohn and the dorms.

Nothing is artificially.
I don’t make fake videos, just pure walking.
The only editing I do is add text, cut, and color grading.
I use 3-D audio, so that’s why it sounds realistic.
